Excellent stay in calligraphy room. This place is as charming as they come and very sought after. The building itself has a long history and the restaurant downstairs is a hidden gem.

The hotel is located at the center of George Town, could reach all tourist attractions by foot. The stuffs are very friendly and the hotel is clean and delicate. Definitely it will be my first choice for my next trip to Penang. ❤️

Overall good

Definitely one of the more successful repurposed properties in Penang. Very central location to all the spots. Cleanliness and hygiene is very good! Good breakfast to start your day. Room is of a very good size and high ceiling (if on top floor). Highly recommended!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Campbell House. Excellent location and reception staffs were welcoming and very helpful. They provided us with maps & recommendations after check in. Always asked us about our day and highlights. Thank you for a memorable experience! The room is very clean although small for 2 to share. I would recommend the double room for one traveller or short/weekend travellers with less luggages.

The hotel combines history and modernity, with great rooms and a good location, right near Kimberly Food Street. It will introduce the highlights of Penang in detail. The loft room with an extra bed is especially suitable for a family of three.

If you are tired or sensitive to noise, this hotel is not for you. Because the house is old, the sound insulation is not ideal, and there are creaking sounds from cars, motorcycles and old houses outside the window. Since you need to take off your shoes before going up to the guest room, be careful of the slippery solid wood floor, I almost fell. There was a power outage downstairs on the night I checked in. Be careful when choosing a loft room, because there is a thick beam above the front of the bed. If you mind, don't choose it. The hotel can be said to be very distinctive and beautiful, and it is very suitable for those who like the historical and cultural heritage of Nanyang. The staff is very friendly and the service is proactive and enthusiastic, but based on my experience this time, I can't give a high score.

The hotel has a strong Nanyang flavor. The Penang tourist map provided by the front desk staff is very helpful. The hot water is not strong. The room next to the room is under renovation. I didn't get a good rest in the hotel after getting off the plane.
