It's a clean and reliable brand, so I stay often. However, I was disappointed to see that the parking fee was expensive and that the car was leaving without paying the parking fee.

As frequent Premier Inn guests in the UK, we found this Freiburg location delivered the brand's reliable standard of accommodation. The room offered nothing extraordinary but everything essential - a clean, well-maintained space with a comfortable mattress that ensured a good night's sleep. Typical of Premier Inn's consistent quality, it provided a straightforward, dependable stay without unnecessary frills.

We stayed in this hotel for one night during a road trip through southern Germany. The room price was very competitive, and we felt very comfortable there during our stay. The beds especially gave us a great sleeping experience. The location is a 15-20 minute walk into the downtown area, but it felt safe even after dark. We would definitely return here if we're in Freiburg again.

As a loyal customer of Premier Inn in the UK, we decided to try their German properties on this trip and were not disppointed. This is a modern hotel recently built, and about 10-15 minutes walk from the old town. Prviate parking is available but we found a spot in the residential lanes across the main road. We arrived early, and reception staff were gracious to give us a room without a fuss (Premier Inn has an annoying new policy of charging for early check in prior to 3pm, even if rooms are readily available, which some hotels are very rigid about). Rooms were spacious and cofortable. We were concerned about the proximity to the rail lines, but were not distrurbed by the noise and slept well. Competitively priced.

Nothing at this hotel works… The air conditioning is deliberately turned off, but since Premier Inn is a concrete hotel located right next to a very busy railway line, you now have a heavy choice to make: do you open the window to the roaring trains or drown in your own sweat? We complained to reception, and their only suggestion was to open the window a little more! In the shower, the water temperature constantly changes while you’re bathing. Either you’re freezing or getting first-degree burns. During our second night, an unpleasant smell started coming from the drain into the room. Luckily, we could open the windows. We’re leaving here now, utterly exhausted from lack of sleep and with our skin tingling from the unpredictable water temperature.

Premier Inn has a really good location close to both the train station and the Altstadt. The hotel is right next to the railway, but the rooms are soundproofed, so you don’t hear any trains, traffic, or noisy neighbors. At the same time, the beds and bedding are of good quality, so Premier Inn is actually close to being the perfect sleeping factory for several hundred people. This goal is unmistakably reflected in the room's only ‘artwork’ (see attached photo).

Overall the location was convenient to the city center with 15 walks. The property has parking on site (15EUR/day). The staff were friendly specially Kenneth (thank you for your lovely hospitality and great conversation). The room was a reasonable size and very clean which included tv, small kettle and few samples of tea/coffee, no fridge, rather small bed and only two pillows, all charging outlets, small foldable sofa which was a bit dirty and outdated, ironing items. Bathroom was very clean overall except the shower-head was rather small and the soap dispenser fixed on the wall had a mouldy rim which was a bit turnoff looking at it but overall bathroom was good. For the price and friendly staff, this hotel is a good choice.

Chain hotel not too badly located, about 15 minutes walk from the center. Friendly staff and clean and pleasant room. Good bedding. Small downside on the air conditioning a little noisy. Breakfast average, nothing to say. Underground parking quite large.

We booked a trip to Freiburg for a group of 6 people via bahnhit.de. This included the train journey and accommodation at the Premier Inn in Freiburg City South. On arrival, it turned out that there had been a booking error. We do not know where the error occurred, whether it was the transmission from bahnhit.de or the relevant department in the hotel, but on arrival and at check-in we were offered 2 rooms with triple occupancy instead of the 6 single rooms we had booked. This is not acceptable! Since we had paid the travel agent for 6 single rooms, we insisted that this be clarified and that we receive the room category we had booked. Since we arrived a little early, we sat in the foyer until the matter was clarified. The hotel makes a very good impression, the lobby is bright and nicely decorated, with some very comfortable furniture. Within 45 minutes the matter was resolved and we were able to check in, each guest received the room they had booked for single use. The rooms are functionally furnished and, in our opinion, large enough. The bathroom is modern and very clean, towels are provided and for those who like to use shampoo and soap, this is also available. The beds are very comfortable, the mattresses very good. The breakfast was varied enough and served in a friendly environment. In the evening you could have a cocktail or something else in the "bar" and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the room had dark carpeting; I would have preferred a light floor or no carpet at all. The proximity to the city is definitely a plus point, and the fact that the train station is not that far away is also a positive. You can hardly hear any noise; my room was at the front and guests sat there late into the night, so sleeping with the window open was out of the question. A shame. But we would definitely consider staying here again.
