Freiburg im Breisgau Hotels with Gym

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our 5 days 4 nights trip to the Alsace areas. This was our first stop. The hotel located in a quiet area but within walking distance to the super market, many restaurants, bakeries, etc. However a car is needed to reach the city center. The room is simple but modern, clean, roomy with nice seating area and A/C. The complimentary breakfast was average but it is a nice bonus though. The staff was friendly and helpful. Because of the reasonable price, the complimentary breakfast and the services, I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Beautiful hotel with everything needed for a short trip. Coffee and tea were available free. Unfortunately, the lady was unfriendly at the weekend and made it difficult for us to check in. We would prefer to cancel the accommodation immediately, which was not possible. All other staff were premature and helpful, and we have still enjoyed the stay.

This was my fourth visit to the Colombi and it was in all respects every bit as good as on all the others. It is a beautifully designed hotel, using the highest quality materials and the attention to quality is the hallmark of how it is run. The room was outstanding, so was the breakfast. The Colombi's piano bar is, in my view, the most tastefully designed and best stocked bar of any hotel I know.

We were again to IKF guest at the hotel. The rooms are best, breakfast is excellent, we even used the sauna and also dined excellently in the restaurant. Just one please change: the rooms were too warm. The heating in the bathroom was not controlable at all with me and heated constantly and also a control on the display for room heating did not bring success. And the window can't be left aj at night - it's too loud for it. The consequence: I had constantly painful dry eyes and skin tension. Also for environmental reasons - you can surely better regulate this.

The hotel is located in a lovely spot in the woods, with walking/trails and birds chirping, outside Freiburg. There is a large terrace to sit on for a drink or a meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful to provide a relaxing experience. I really enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffett. If you are looking to explore the area, it is situated on the way to Alsace so you can go into Freiburg and France quite easily. If you want a hotel right in Freiburg, this isn't it. And the highway is a bit close by so there is some sound, but usually the birds chirping was louder.

Usually, we use Airbnb and avoid traditional hotels and this is the perfect example why. We had to book one day in advance on short notice and the price was roughly 150 euro excluding parking, breakfast or air conditioning. Parking cannot be reserved, but is first come, first serve. Apparently good for those who check in prior to 6pm, bad for us. The hotel could use some modernization, the style is quite old, outdated decoration and presentation. The staff at the reception was quite nice. We threw our stuff in the room and went out for dinner. We came back around 11pm and just wanted to sleep. Lucky us, the fan did not work properly but did horrible noises. And we found hairs on our bed. We complained the next morning during check out. By the way the two other guests checking out complained about different stuff as well. For us, no sorry from the staff, only a complaint that we did not complain immediately - yeah, at 11 pm and we were able to remove the hairs ourselves. Thanks, also for saying sorry. Overall, not worth the value and for sure they will never see us again.

Chic, central hotel. Pleasantly designed. Good air conditioning, quiet and powerful. Windows are very soundproof. Very good breakfast, although a little overpriced at 25 euros per person. Staff are very attentive. Good bar, lovely courtyard.

We booked an arrangement with 2 nights, including a massage and dinner. The young man who massaged was really very good! All were very enthusiastic about his massage skills. At breakfast buffet was also a young man who quickly booked a common table to our group of 10 people. We were also excited from dinner at Cross Over. Unfortunately, these positive experiences have been overshadowed by the wellness area. The wellness area is very beautiful at first sight and you have a large choice, but in the whole wellness area there were 14 bedrooms divided into 2 restrooms. One of the rest rooms is located in the middle of the sauna area, so it has become very sticky and you can't really relax. Every day you are desperately looking for a place where you can relax and read a book in peace. At a close look, you also see that very many points need to be revised urgently: - toilets are not cleaned - water to drink is often empty - the door to the outer pool does not open when indoor and must be pressed manually - It There is no control of children staying in the area of the 18th century. All in all, this hotel is not suitable for a wellness stay, but they have a very careful and friendly staff.
