We selected ZiCarmela because of central location. Walking distance to port, town center and many lovely restaurants. We were so pleased with our view. The room was well appointed and very clean. Having our own balcony to relax was such a bonus. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff was very friendly and accomodating

This hotel is a really good place to spend a short holiday in Ischia. To start with, the building is located in a position very close to the road, just take 2 steps and you are facing the sea. Still talking about the location, there are various highly recommended restaurants, where you can eat really well even if after all it was already taken for granted, remembering that we are in Italy, even better on an island than Naples. Speaking of the Hotel, however, the reception is very hospitable and speaks clearly. The Hotel also has a relaxation room, where there is a heated swimming pool, a hydromassage tub and a Turkish bath. A perfect place to relax and not think about anything. Speaking of the room, however, it is essential. Inside there is a double/separate bed, a SmartTV (in my case 32 inches), a clean and sanitized bathroom also equipped with a shower, and finally a window from which you can admire the fantastic panorama of the island. But ultimately the adjective was obvious, we're in Italy guys. Finally, there is also a buffet where you can choose sweet/savory foods, fruit juices, breakfast drinks, fresh fruit, croissants and more. To finish this review, I'll give you a small summary. The Hotel is really welcoming, clean and comfortable, but if you want to think about the landscape, I write a word that is as good as a novel... Italy.

You find yourself welcomed as if by friends, everything runs smoothly in the restaurant under the professionalism and direction of the Maître Salvatore, the smile of Antonio, the courtesy of Imaru and the irony of Maria and Serena. I stayed at the Hotel Zi Carmela and I will definitely come back! The hotel is welcoming and very central, the service excellent and typical cuisine very well taken care of! Availability from all the kind and nice staff! I recommend Hotel Zi Carmela!

A very bad experience, We arrived despite having booked 2 months before, They gave us a room with mold and bad smells. A mediocre breakfast, looks like a barracks. Difficult to find rooms for screwed up accommodation. Not even if they give me a stay, I accept it.

Structure in the center of Forio very useful only for sleeping and then going around the island given the proximity of the bus stops and all the necessary services. If you want to stay in the structure to enjoy spa and relaxation, this is not good. The two small outdoor pools located in the courtyard of this large structure are not enough for all guests for whom there is little space and there are never beds available and if you stay in the room you can hear the voices and cackles of those who do not. respect the times of silence. Maybe years ago it should have been nice but now it suffers from a somewhat rough management where there are no rules. The spa area is often used by children to play and the sauna is not functional. The Wi-Fi works only in the common areas, contrary to what is indicated, there is no field in the rooms. Cleaning is satisfactory but the linen is worn out and possibly washed with cheap detergent because it smells bad. Breakfast counter prepared in an approximate way and deprived of every good taste from the point of view of the typical presentation of a buffet. The food is cheap qualitatively poor and especially on the main courses with poor portions. All dishes have no taste of their own and are prepared rather cheaply. The staff is nice but I felt anxious to be able to satisfy the number of guests, the organization system works badly requests and extras are not properly recorded and in the end we end up having unsolicited charges. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food that in a place so famous for its culinary specialties, is offered in perfect "canteen" style; we are on an island where the gastronomic specialties are many and for all budgets therefore you can also choose something else.

We returned to stay here after 1 year. Last year the reception was not the best, but after several complaints (explained in detail in a previous review) we were able to receive adequate treatment. This year we chose to stay here because we had very good memories of the food (huge courses, buffet of dozens and dozens of appetizers. All served flawlessly), the deluxe room and the location practically in the center of Forio. As soon as we arrive at the hotel we check in and immediately after we ask for the menu to choose the dishes to be received for dinner, and we are told that unfortunately the appetizer buffet is no longer made due to covid. First slip since last year there was the same covid but the buffet was done. They accompany us to the room, a standard sea view, mediocre room: a fake double bed, or two single beds pushed together that moved as soon as you sat on it. But aside from that, it lacked dirt, hair on the floor, torn bedspread, dried pee drop on the toilet seat and also stained shower towels and towels. Every morning the bed was badly made, sheets dangling and hair still stuck to them. Outdoor pools found slightly cleaner than last year, but we were still forced to go to the beach because we didn't feel safe using them. The indoor pools, on the other hand, bring a positive note, spaciousness and cleanliness. In the evening we go to dinner, and we find ourselves poor dishes, poorly cooked, tasteless, practically like the dishes of a canteen. Slow staff, it even happened that the chosen dishes were no longer available. Non-existent anticovid rules, most of the staff in the room without a mask, who also took the luxury of coughing between serving one course and another. Tables stuck together, with people sneezing in the air. Upstairs dining room equipped with air conditioners, and therefore with fresh air. Restaurant on the lower floor: a hole, without air, an absurd heat. Positive note of the kitchen the maitre who does his job impeccably. Night porter equally available for any eventuality. As you can see, the negative notes far outweigh the positive ones. Last year, only after strong complaints were we able to get the right treatment. 5 days that I remembered with pleasure, from the room to the food. And even if the outdoor pools sinned, given the many positive aspects, it was not a burden to decide not to use them and go to the sea. Unfortunately this was not the case this year. 3 days, a lot of money and little relaxation and little security. He does not invite us to return !!!! Bad quality-price ratio !!! '

Already from the description there are inconsistencies as the WiFi only works in the pool area and there isn't even a hint of parking, on the other hand there is a nice climb to walk with all the luggage in tow only to discover that they will give the room in the afternoon and therefore you are forced to leave your suitcases in a remote corner of the corridor hoping to find them in the pile of stuff also left by the other tired customers camped out in the hall (meanwhile at the reception there are sarcastic and annoyed replies all the time) ! In the restaurant it has often happened that the dish previously chosen by me on the piece of paper with the sunbeds and without supervision (in the lift there is a sheet where it is written that it is forbidden to leave things on the sunbeds to occupy them and leave, too bad that already from 2 in the afternoon I was unable to use a sunbed because they were all occupied by a t-shirt or an armrest or a towel while everything around is deserted because they are either sleeping or eating and no one is checking the arrogance of the people)! Elevator not working for the entire duration of the stay and therefore every time several flights of stairs on foot and at check-out with suitcases and bags in tow, wonderful! Very rough and poor cleaning of the rooms. At the reception, despite being polite, you often get sarcastic and opinionated responses, disorganization on several fronts and lack of clarity with the customer! I would not return at all to experience similar treatment and I do not recommend it for a relaxing, quality holiday!

First I would like to say what was beautiful about this chaotic hotel, such as the central station of Naples: the sea view. NOTHING ELSE! Rough cleaning, breakfast in chaos and dirt, rude, incompetent, sometimes even non-existent reception staff. We have never used the much praised pools on the site or the indoor pool, as they are very crowded and of dubious cleanliness. Always and in any case not recommended.

Bad structure, as soon as you arrive camp in the hall with suitcases because they deliver the room to you at 3 in the afternoon, if everything goes according to plan, they invite you to have lunch first hoping that you will find your suitcases later, swimming pools? 2 puddles of water always dirty and cloudy not to mention the beds being frequented by the majority of uncivilized people who occupy them from the morning with a beach towel leaving the bed busy all day, ps: (1 week never found free !!! control) room cleaning? Dirtier than how you leave it ... elevator? Always broken, putting people with disabilities in difficulty, Waiters? they pretend not to hear you apart from Antonio who is the only one who knows how to do his role, parking? those who arrive with their car must pray to God that they find parking along the coast, sometimes it could take up to 1 hour, adjacent beaches? Water a little more than Mondragone, in 2022 I wonder how it is possible that a structure like this does not have drinking water, if you wake up during the night with thirst you have to keep it ... moral of the story? I was a guest because of a smart box, I had never done that. Rude staff, very dirty pools, not enough sun loungers for the number of guests. Let's move on to the room, fake air conditioning (not working), a classic 50 year old hotel. The only positive note are the croissants at breakfast.

Posizione comoda per raggiungere il traghetto, a due passi dal porto, e per prendere qualsiasi mezzo di trasporto ottimo servizio buona la camera piscine termali buone ottima la cucina e ottima la colazione al centro del paese ottima la doppia entrata!
