Family friendly Hotels in Pampanga

On arrival a gate-house guard let us in without instructions. After a few minutes of confusion we found the reception. We could see that it is just as it looks the photos; a beautiful quality built and very well maintained sparkling clean boutique hotel. We went to their 'Sunset Grill’ restaurant and seated by lovely staff, a little to eager to take our food order. The room was cool and music was calm and ambient. Exhale, after a long drive - perfect … Suddenly things erupted as the gentle music switched to blaring, loud ”Happy Birthday too you” .. the staff waiting our order burst into loud clapping hands. Repeat and repeat the song in different versions, and the clapping! I went out to the garden but it was also playing outside! I was out on the grass oval before I was far enough away from it, my wife and kids following. It eventually subsided so we returned and tried to and relax, but the birthday group was now shouting. A few pesky flies arrived and persisted, and more shouting so we set up outside. I ordered a NZ white wine at 1,900p, and it wasn't pre-chilled..!? We tried to relax and chill the wine, but many more flies, so we go back inside, but flies are inside too. The food came out and it was good, but stone cold mash potato - I dislike being served cold food, and I cant stand flies on us. We went back for dinner after 9pm. I ordered the steak and explained to the new staff shift that my lunch had been cold and to make sure the dinner was hot, especially the potato. It came out stone cold, again! .. with the worse steak I'd ever seen. Right at that moment about 9:40pm as the food arrived they started switching out the lights! We got up and left, forfeiting the food they already had us sign for. The next day while enjoying the beautiful hotel I notice the pool-bar by was not staffed, I found a staff and ordered 2 Budweiser but they only have 1 in stock. The coffee shop was not staffed either, nor the pizza bar. I walked to the restaurant and ordered pizza at the pool, but I am told I’m not allowed to eat it anywhere but in the resto, or in our room!?! The breakfast was awful - nicely cooked but bad choices of products; we forfeit our second day. Then the last day lunch was finally everything terrific! Lastly on the F&B, there was no water source for guests. So the reception kindly refilled our bottles with a source in the back office. The room is very nice and a good size, good AC and has views, but the bed was very hard foam with thin cheap sheets that are too small. Roll over, re-tuck the sheet, repeat, roll, re-tuck. No gowns nor toiletries either. I cannot understand why such a beautiful facility can have so many silly flaws. It is so close to being everything we look for - Boutique, Kid friendly, clean, play ground, games room and great staff with good swimming pools. I wanted to take a moment to share our experience at Gelly Bean Home Stay at Azure Residences in Pampanga during our recent stay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The location is absolutely stunning, nestled in a serene environment that provided us with the relaxation we were seeking. The amenities were top-notch, and we were particularly impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of our room. It was well-decorated and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with our queries and needs. She made sure that our stay was enjoyable and special. We also loved the cozy common areas which were perfect for lounging and enjoying each other's company. One of the highlights of our stay was simply unwinding by the pool and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The property is beautifully landscaped, making it a perfect backdrop for some memorable photos. Furthermore, the location is great for exploring Pampanga, with several local attractions and restaurants nearby. Overall, our stay at Gelly Bean Home Stay was delightful, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The room is really nice I loved the neutral colors and it was very spacious. The room service was great as well as the hotel cleaning service. Angelica cleaned my room two days in a row & was kind & polite. One time she cleaned my room while I was in there and we had good conversation as well as she taught me Tagalog. She was awesome.

Wild orchid resort is located close by walking street the main bar area in Angeles City the hotel is looking a little dated now the hotel has two pools which are welcome during the days heat plenty of seating and at seat service around the pool areas, hotel rooms are basic decor is dated my room was a lagoon room overlooking the lagoon pool we were on the top 5th floor with 2 lifts available to get to the pool which was quick and easy rooms on ground floor have access directly to the pool,the hotel has 2 bar areas the main one being an open area bar and restaurant which overlooking the pool area and main hotel reception area. The hotel has plenty of security on the front doors and entrance to the hotel room areas feels very safe would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone the price is good for the area you are in close proximity to the bars and restaurants of Angeles City.

Throughout the process of reservation I was updated reqularly and my special request were seen to ( I am physically challenged ). Upon arrival I was greeted warmly by all including the person entrusted with my luggage. Check-In was smooth and quick and I took advantage of the cash discount. My room 501 was spotless and very functional with a fully stocked and switched on cool fridge. Throughout my stay my room was cleaned reqularly and never once did I have to ask for anything they may have forgotten like towels etc. I enjoyed the balcony for reading purposes. IF however you need complete silence and solitude then I think definitely room 501 and possibly all the rooms facing the pool area should be fitted with double-glazed windows to drown out the excessive noise & shouting from the Korean Restaurant / Club directly behind the pool. This venue seems to fill after 22h30 and continues until 07h30 and the guest do not talk, THEY SHOUT at each other. Its truly excessive noise and on night one it woke me at 03h00 and I could not sleep until after 08h00. In 5 nights this happened three times although night one was the worst. I came very close to ask for an alternative room but chose not to as I did not feel like packing up again. The in-house restaurant caters mostly for carnivores and its the first restaurant that does not serve a fruit platter and the vegan / vegetarian options are very limited resulting in me eating out mostly. The pool attendants were quick & attentive and cleaned quickly after guest left.

Swissotel Clark for me is the best hotel up north. The hotel itself is incredible. Well maintained and managed. Complete with such useful amenities like the gym and their state of the art pool area. They have variety of restaurants one can enjoy good food and ambiance. One of which is the MARKT, where breakfast is served. Food here are prepared right in front of you or you can simply choose what you want from the array of choices freshly cooked and served. But the best part is , as far as I am concerned, are the people manning the front desk…the duty managers and their team. Special shout out to SHERYL, who was present to give me and my family a warm welcome. This kind gesture truly made up for the 2 hours of traffic our family endured because of the heavy downpour going to Clark.Likewise, to Ethiel, who attended our check in. Overall, we had another wonderful stay in Swissotel. Their brand of hospitality is world class,

Our stay in Hilton Clark was very pleasant. I can’t stress about how friendly the staff was, they were really helpful, gentle and polite (despite my toddler son having some tantrums). The hotel overall was very clean, fragrant, posh and well kept. Upon entering, there's a small Duty Free store selling fragrances, wines, chocolates, bags and jewelries. Reception is at the 3rd floor and you have to take a long escalator. There's also a small ****** but we didn't check it out. Welcome drink was superb! It's worth it to claim as it was really good. We also then availed of their buy 1 take 1 happy hour promo. The room was cozy and the pool was super clean and nice. Wifi's fast. The pool water felt fresh and I think they have another way of maintaining since there's no smell of chlorine at all. Kuya lifeguard was also very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is good! They offer not just black coffee but also the likes of latte & cappuccino. Hot choco taste legit! Bacon is also offered soft or crispy. Food is good. What I liked most in this hotel is the amenities for kids and their regard for safety. Apart from the 2-feet pool, they also have an outdoor playground, a spacious kid's area for biking where kids can choose 3 types of vehicle, a helmet provided, and most of all, they have a spacious indoor kid's playroom as an alternative activity area when it's scorching hot outside. Be sure for kids to wear shoes when they go biking and socks for the indoor play area. I also appreciated their attention to the kids' needs in that they have room slippers on kid size! Our daughter was so glad about it and said Hilton Clark is now her favorite hotel. Overall, it was indeed a very pleasant stay!

Well the location is good a bit tucked in from the main road. The hotel is a bit run down, need a but of maintenance and care. The most strange thing is that all the rooms dont have windows, so the room feel damp and a bit claustrophobic. The rooms were clean, bed was comfy. They provide water bottles, kettle for hot water in the room. The TV channels were a bit disappointing only 11 channels and two of which were in English ( CNN and Cartoon Network) when asked at the reception they said only these 11 channels were available, and on my last day just before checking OUT, suddenly HBO channels were activated. They have a indoor pool. The Cafe called Perks and Brew, was good, the room comes with breakfast also. WIFI is ok

Pros: -affordable rate Cons: -Not maintained -The room has rust -Lotssss of millipede (anthropods) outside the villa, and even inside our room (CR)!!!!!! -high grass; not maintained -hard to locate our villa number at night (no spotlight in front) -no slippers provided -no bathrobe provided -300 pesos entrance fee per head (adults and kids) if you’ll be using the hotspring (but take note, the hotspring or thermal pool is not even working / under maintenance. The water is not clean / not maintained (lots of falling leaves, etc) -centralized aircon (so if you want a cooler room especially in the afternoon, they cannot do anything about it) -low pressure water; sometimes, few drops only -the hot and cold shower is malfunctioning -I hope the (Filipino breakfast) daing na bangus is boneless -the slides/waterpark is under maintenance (I hope they can put a heads up or note in Agoda or in their official website) -50 pesos for extra pillow -no availble wifi/internet in their villa -few staff
