Great
GGuest UserTook 15 mins to book in could not find my details. Booked a kingsize superior room and got two single beds put together as my bed. Was not comfortable. There was a water tank beside my room that kept dripping my full duration of my break. Would not be going back to the hotel
YYunduanderizi21A very traditional, elegant, ancient and solemn hotel, the overall feeling is very good!
The location is very convenient. After exiting the Waverley train station, you can reach the hotel in less than 5 minutes on foot. The entrance is very eye-catching. It's just a big uphill walk, and it will be a bit strenuous if you push a large piece of luggage. It only takes 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to the castle.
The hotel lobby is very traditional, and the characteristic bonfire hall seems to have entered Santa Claus's home. The lady at the front desk is very enthusiastic and introduced the various facilities in the room in detail. Because Scotland is still quite cold, I didn't feel it when I turned on the heating in the room to the maximum. In the morning, a traditional English breakfast on the first floor of the hotel is absolutely amazing. There is a western restaurant with candlelight dinner next to the hotel, where you can enjoy a sweet world for two! 😍😍

Ideal for travelers seeking comfort, location, and heartfelt hospitality. An absolute delight! 🌟
GGuest UserThis hotel is amazing! As you can see from the photo, the view was beautiful!!! Also, I can't forget how fluffy their pillows were, haha. I'm excited to book a room at this hotel this summer.
GGuest UserAwful hotel that is definitely not 4* and the service is not at Hilton level at all….
The hotel goes under the renovation and there were only 2 lifts with queues and they are also used by the staff too
We had a room for 3 people and had all set up for two people only, the room was dirty with hair in the shower and the ceiling.
When I took the shower the pipe was blocked and the water started to leak to the bathroom… yes they sorted the problem quite quickly but still was not great experience
There were no slippers and bathrobes. I asked for x3 slippers and they brought only one pair. I asked again and they brought only one pair again. On the third time they brought two pairs…. When I asked for 3!!! And still no bathrobes. We asked for additional blanket and it was in a random location after the room was cleaned.
The room was cleaned badly on the next day we stayed. My pajamas was thrown elsewhere and I found it on the table, the towels we put on the floor to be replaced were fold dirty on the shelves… the blanket was in a random location and the cleaner did not pay any attention at all left the room dirty. Very disrespectful
I felt that I had to beg for the things we are supposed to get in this kind of hotels. Shocking!!!
Yes they compensated with a complimentary breakfast which was good but still the service was bad. They sent the cleaner and by the time she came we were already sleeping. And she did not speak any English … very disappointed
Room 210, 26.10-28.10 2024
GGuest UserGreat location next door to the zoo. Ten minutes walk to local amenities and several buses directly to the city centre. Lovely bar/restaurant with pool table etc for kids, also lovely views. Lovely sunrise if your room is east facing. Very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming staff.
GGuest UserI had a fantastic experience staying at YOTEL Edinburgh! The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, close to all the major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The room was clean, modern, and very well-designed with smart space-saving features. I especially loved the adjustable smart bed and the mood lighting—super cool and comfortable! The Wi-Fi was fast, and the TV had great entertainment options.
EEsraThe building was good and the view was great; it was the best part of staying this hotel. Unfortunately room service was so bad. We stayed there 4nights; first we thought maybe they just hovered the room because the room wasn’t cleaned. Next day it was same so I told it to reception and then finally next day they cleaned it.. but again it wasn’t a full cleaning (they didn’t hover or clean the dust; just tidy the room and clean bathroom) So I can say room cleaning service is a disaster. But I also want to add reception stuff were helpful and friendly. Last thing hotel needs a quick make up; especially bathrooms are very old.
YyhoboThe hotel is an apartment hotel, with staff on duty. You can pick up the daily necessities in the room by yourself. The kitchen equipment is easy to use, the room layout is reasonable, and it is relatively comfortable.
The hotel is located in the New Town, in a residential area, close to Princes Street and within walking distance. It can also be reached by walking to the Old Town Castle. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, which is quite convenient.
Eeman2122I believe there are short staff... Check in and check out time is really Short (stay over in the room) You can check in after 3pm and check out before 11am.. room smelly maybe from the carpet. Toilet slightly dirty. Breakfast needs to add additional cost if you want or you can take their packages. Whatever it is, this is your call and you choose it. Don't compare too much. I hope management will do something for a better guest experience. Keep it up.
