My expectations weren't very high but I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel smelt amazing & the reception staff were welcoming & friendly. One of the reception staff helped me zip up my dress as I couldn't reach & went out of her way to help me. Breakfast was awesome & checking out was super straight forward. I would recommend in a heartbeat!
Corstorphine Lodge is conveniently located on the St. John’s Road (within about 15 minutes from airport) with bus stops for the Airport Airlinks and local Lothian buses a few minutes walk away. Last year had a very nice room on the ground floor. This year my room was on the first floor. Large room and clean, but en-suite bath awkward. Very small sink in a corner in front of the shower. Could not bend to use the sink unless I stood sideways. Breakfast optional at extra cost. On-site parking provided but small. Proprietors very friendly and helpful but not sure about staying again.
We were well pleased with the Torfin. Check-in was easy. Although there is no front desk, the young lady at the bar was available to register me and show me the room. She also carried two of our suitcases up to our room! The room was very pleasant and recently renovated. I don't think there is any A/C, and that could on occasion be a problem. We were comfortable despite the unusually warm weather. My only complaint would be the lack of an elevator, since we had many pieces of luggage. Fortunately the rooms are only up one flight. There is complimentary off-street parking at the adjacent establishment. The price is quite reasonable, especially if booked directly with the hotel. It is near the airport, taking about 8 min. by car. Service is limited, as the restaurant (and thus hotel) closes at 10 p.m. and doesn't re-open until 10 a.m. Breakfast is not available before 10:00.

Located perfectly for visiting Edinburgh, staff warm, welcoming and helpful. The suite we stayed in was beautiful, spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok, busy and chaotic at times. Perhaps a little more organising and quicker clearing of tables would help. The range of food was good. Ordering toast was a bit slow and you’d eaten your breakfast by the time it was delivered to your table. Beware of the service charge/ we weren’t aware of the service charge beforehand and had paid our hotel booking when we checked in. We were totally shocked when we received a large bill when checking out and our mini bar bill was minimal. An unexpected bill for £300…. Although discretionary, made us feel uncomfortable saying we didn’t want to pay it. If I’m honest it was a disappointment to us as it was the last dealing we had when leaving the hotel.

Underwhelming reception in the bar. Pleasant staff. Not quite what we expected for the price. Location is a short walk from the train station and near Calton Hill. Not hard to get anywhere with basic fitness. The room size was huge. With plenty of nice living space. Good size kitchen, limited basic cooking pans etc. no can opener. No coffee machine. Stove, microwave oven and dishwasher all functional and clean. Bathrooms were ok, basic appearance and the sink bench had a large amount of badly patched up damage. The 2nd bedroom and bathroom was downstairs, the bedroom heater was not on and the bathroom towel rail was so hot it burnt, with a dial that didn’t work. Showers adequate. Beds were ok. Firm. The windows were a view of the building across the street and a fairly daggy lane below. So not great. Also the train station and we went to sleep listening to announcements from there. Noise was not a big problem, and we had nearly no noise from the rest of the building. Apart from some daggy hallways, bathrooms, Single slow small lift. Locked rooftop and basic reception. Our problem was the ceiling. A massive water leak all over the hallway that was not dealt with immediately. It’s obvious by the ceiling that this is an ongoing issue. I worry about the safety of the ceiling and our safety was compromised by a water on the floor. I had to ask twice for it to be fixed. Apparently maintenance had been messaged, communication was non existent. No apologies, not good enough. The price is for room size and location. Don’t expect good service or high quality.

Conditions are quite comfortable. The address is in the city center. It is very convenient to go anywhere. The elevator can go directly to the train station. Calton Hill is right next to it. It is quite cost-effective.
It is quite close to the train station and the location is very good. The price is not too cheap, and of course it is not too expensive. It is quite close to Mingsheng in various places. You can live here for a short time, but it is not suitable to live here for the whole process.
Absolutely a good location for quietness and quiet in the new city. Very close to the train station and the airport bus. If you bring large luggage, it is recommended that you live in the new city. It is very convenient. As long as you have a bed, you don’t need to wait until the afternoon. If you have big luggage, you need to take some effort to climb this red staircase. Others are perfect. You can cook in the kitchen. Basically, you have fruit, bread, milk, and tea. There is no limit in the hall. Your best meal, please consciously tidy and clean the girl I live in. The 6 rooms have curtains. The bedside can fill the shop. Small luggage can be placed directly in everyone's cabinet. If you are lucky, you can live on the bottom floor. Hahaha. It's a three-story bed, so the first floor is very low and I can hardly straighten the waist. I can end it. After all, the price is so favorable. Right, there is a great coffee bar and small restaurant downstairs. Everyone is seductive when I see the Apple store and turn in. This is the bar and the hotel
Because the travel plan changed, we booked a hostel at short notice. You know, it's not easy to book such a cheap bed in Edinburgh. The place is not difficult to find, but the stairs are small and it's difficult to move luggage. The toilet and bathroom are small, but they can be used. Breakfast is provided, and you can cook for yourself. It's very close to the station, and there are many shops nearby, including McDonald's.
I left my headphones there, so I asked the customer service to contact the hotel, and finally they were successfully sent to the next city we went to. In short, thank you very much to Ctrip's customer service, and the response and service of the hostel are also very good!
We stayed 1 night in the Roomzzz aparthotel and it was amazing, the staff on reception were happy and helpful. The reception and the room itself were both immaculately clean, the room was modern and spacious with all the facilities we needed, the beds are really comfortable too. In reception we were offered complimentary hot drinks whenever we liked and on the following morning complimentary pastries are served which was a lovely touch. The location is amazing also right in the centre so within walking distance to both the new town and old town, over all amazing and when next visiting Edinburgh will be booking here again x
