Located near many local attractions. Holyrood Park is about a ten-minute walk away; it’s a beautiful natural area. There are numerous restaurants and shops nearby. The main street is just around the corner; it’s a little seedy, but seems safe nevertheless.

This hotel was great! Location was very good, close to main tourist attractions like the Royal Mile and close to major bus routes if you don’t feel like walking. The room felt very spacious and comfortable. It’s near great Chinese restaurants that someone who lives in China appreciates as the restaurants are run by Chinese people and the food tastes authentic and delicious. They also sell their own gin that is made on site and the gin is really good! If you like gin, try their 1505 and then buy a bottle. Very worth it!

Easy to reach, clean room and friendly service for a great price. Would recommend it to other visitors and would stay again.

The receptionist of the hotel staff told us when we checked in that the hotel did not provide complimentary shower gel and shampoo and told us that the shower gel and shampoo cost £1 each, we were very surprised by this as such an encounter was like nothing we had ever encountered in our lives. The bath was in a hygienic condition with water stains and a lot of stains on the drain, it didn't look like it had been cleaned carefully, my wife and I cleaned it again with a towel and sterilised it with a disinfectant before we dared to use it. The facilities were awful, and when we found out we couldn't use the TV to play youtube, we chose to use a USB stick to play the TV that we had downloaded in it. But no matter what we tried, the usb port on the TV just wouldn't read the usb stick. I suspected it was a problem with my USB stick, so I plugged the discs into my and my wife's computers separately - without exception they read successfully, indicating that it wasn't a problem with the USB stick. Frustrated, we connected to wifi, but the wifi bandwidth was very slow and the signal was poor.
