Since they've asked me 3 times in 1 day to leave a review, here's my honest (updated) review: We booked a room because of an early hospital appointment at a hospital nearby. When we arrived the room wasn't ready (even though it was checkin time and we confirmed arriving at the checking time beforehand), so we had to wait for 30 minutes (they did offer us free sodas during the wait though). We chose a family room, as we needed the space and soon found out not every room has airconditioning. If you book through their website, you can only find this when you compare all the rooms and their details, and then some rooms don't contain airconditiong as a service, while others do (it doesn't say it doesn't have it, it just doesn't list it). The couch was dirty with stains (don't want to know what people have done there) and some places in the room were still very dirty. We even found old coffee cups from previous guests. The restaurant was disappointing to. We waited for 15 minutes at the desk, having multiple staff pass us and ignore us, before someone got to us to seat us (there were 15 tables with guests, and about as much staff walking around the room, or just chatting amongst each other). Even the management staff walking around was more busy enjoying the sun outside, than to pay attention to their guests. Even though the restaurant uses great fresh ingredients, they don't use any seasoning or herbs or anything. When a staff member asked us about our experience and we shared our comment, we got a snarky reply "But there's salt and pepper on the table". Between courses it took over 20 minutes for staff to notice we were done, because they were to busy talking amongst each other. When we were done and asked for the bill, it was the same story. We asked our server, who served us the whole evening, for the bill and she just disappeared, to chat with co-workers. When another server asked us if everything was alright and if we needed anything, the other server finally got us the bill. If you don't mind a dirty room, having to wait and having unseasoned food, this is the place to go. But for me, this is way below the standard we're used to by other Van der Valk establishments.

We participated in a wonderful march, the largest and most special march in the world, the 4-day march in the city of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. During the march period we are staying at the Hotel Van der Valk Cujik. A charming and special hotel that provides everything needed for participation and success in the march. Provides everything and even more. The staff is excellent, already at registration we provide extensive and humane assistance for accurate registration, for changes if required, for patience and general support. During the stay on the days of the march and in general, the dining room staff gets up early and prepares everything needed for a very early meal, and for preparing sandwiches and drinks and snacks for the road. (There is no such thing.) They check with love and care, that you do not lack anything for the sporting effort, food, drinks, fruit and all the good stuff! )

overall, very good hotel. Pleasent rooms and nicely kept. Location is great if you do business around the area, close to highway. A bit further from any shops/city but overall nice. Restaurant and food are great. Beer was very bad from tap... maybe it was just my taste? Overall recomennded!

First of all the cushions are really bad,I had 2x but they were very flat. My husband bought me a pair if slippers in the small shop by van der valk Cuijk,I took them up to my room and tried them on and they kept sliding off when walking,so within 5 mins of buying them I took them back and the receptionist said I couldn’t get my money back which is totally rediculous . She should have told my husband when buying them that there was no returns. Was not happy at all. So a warning to all ,the slippers are very bad quality. And I was not happy with the device at the hotel.

The rooms were very cozy. The temperature inside was perfect which was nice since it is winter. The dinner menu was just perfect and for such a great price. €25 for a three courses menu is very well priced. The bath in the rooms is great and fits two people. The surrounding cities like Nijmegen and Kleeve are great to visit next to Cuijk itself of course.

This is the second time I've stayed here, both times have been business trips. In both visits all was good about the stay. On arrival I was greeted by friendly staff as were my colleagues (I'd made a group booking). The room was clean and quiet. The restaurant was busy but efficient for both dinner and breakfast. Will stay again.
