"Our stay at the YiShan YunShui hotel was great! The room itself, and the view that could be enjoyed from there, were simply amazing 😍 (totally corresponding to the pictures on Trip). Mr. Li and all the staff from the reception have been very friendly and helpful. Mr. Li, especially, went to great lengths to help us plan our time in Yangshuo at best, giving us many useful tips and suggestions on places to visit and activities to do. He helped us rent some bikes at a very very good price, and he also helped us buy some delivery food on our last day 🙏🏻 (ps. I speak some Chinese, but a plus for those foreign tourists who do not speak any Chinese is that Mr. Li also speaks English, so no need to worry 😉). The staff also helped us hire a driver to take us to Guilin North Station early in the morning, to make sure that we would have made it for our train to our next destination! Another great perk of this hotel is the in-room washing machine…VERY USEFUL and appreciated. In my opinion, the location of the hotel was also very good: strategically located in a new developing area between the YuLongHe scenic area and Yangshuo downtown (not too far from either of the two). The Chinese breakfast was also very nice 🤗 the staff asked us if it suited our taste, and they told us that they could have provided us some more “western-style alternatives” if needed (but no need for us, as we are not picky and enjoy eating local food 😋). Overall, we 100% recommend this hotel! We had a wonderful experience, and should we ever come back to Yangshuo, we would definitely come here again!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"

"Truthfully, I am having time finding words, and that's unusual for me. I must admit I was disappointed when Yangshuo Mountain Retreat cancelled my booking because of a wedding that had booked the place, but the photos of the garden sold me. I've been to Yangshuo perhaps five times over the last 10 years, and have stayed in every kind of place there-from a cheap hostel to the boutique rooms but my dream was to stay at YMR, where I always stop and have a whiskey by the river. When we pulled into Liqui Town, I realized I had not explored this part of the valley and was disoriented. But then the staff greeted us, carried in our bags, gave us tea, peanuts, and oranges, and set to taking care of our every need. They were this way with us from start to finish-sending us off with a bag of fresh mandarin oranges and hugs-and a promise to send an invoice for our remaining expenses-which we still have not gotten! Apart from the wonder of just those details, the food was exquisite, our farmhouse room was stylish and simple yet so thoroughly Chinese-in the most real and unassuming way. It was an honor and a pleasure to sip tea in the farmhouse and look at the many woodcut posters and Chinese propaganda songs on the walls while staring up from the tea table to the simply elegant clay tile roof resting on the original beams, feeling the mud bricks breathe out their history silently under a soft rain and the early crows of the neighborhood roosters. I If one is quiet and still, I believe this little gem will give up her secrets, her history, and the story and true feeling of old-time village life amongst the stunning splatters of karst and water. We enjoyed watching the staff use the traditional well to clean up around the property, and the garden did not disappoint. Truly magical and filled with bonsai that some local master has been enjoying for many years. The food was excellent. We spoke with some Chinese tourists on the way out who were very disappointed with the local version of beer fish, ah but ours was exquisite, along with the drinks and italian food. It's very rare to find this mix of culture, authenticity, generosity, and good service all wrapped into a package that does nearly guarantee the fulfillment of the motto the girls wear on their shirts, ”be inspired....” I would recommend this to anyone. 谢谢你们！"

"This hotel is located just next to the Yulong River which is well known for bamboo rafting. Our room is facing the river with fantastic scenic view. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful who took great efforts to give us advice on where we can take the bamboo rafting and to rent a motorcycle (which is very near to the hotel), etc. The free show of Cormorant fishing provided by the hotel is another highlight. It is a traditional fishing method in which fishermen use trained cormorants to fish in rivers. The fisherman who performs the show of Cormorant fishing is professional. He is super friendly and very engaging with the spectators (the hotel guests). His show adds to the delights of our experience staying at this hotel."

"Lovely view of the mountains - clean and nicely furnished rooms, providing good value for a stay amongst the dramatic karst landscape. Power outage did happen twice within the neighbourhood though and no real explanation for it was provided … but overall we enjoyed our time here."

"This place was so great! The staff, the views, the rooms - all incredible. Would 100% tell anyone going to Yangshuo to stay here. It's a quick 15-20 from here into the city. Another perk - it's within walking distance of where the bamboo rafts land after coming down river from Jinlong Bridge. But honestly the best part is the staff, all of whom are incredibly friendly and helpful. The best!"

"I was lucky enough to see the sunset and the evening glow from my room today. It was absolutely stunning! The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the front desk guy was also very easy to talk to. The yard was beautiful for taking photos, and the owner even let us pick some kumquats from the yard for free. They were really delicious, fresh and juicy, with a sweet and sour taste. There are many niche check-in spots nearby, and the mountaintop coffee shop has beautiful views. The Li River beach is near the B&B, which is perfect for children to play in the water and sand, and catch fish. The kids had a blast. This trip was a pleasure. That May B&B is highly recommended!"

"This time I chose this place because of the high recommendation of Ctrip and the introduction of Xiaohongshu, and I was not disappointed. The housekeeper called before I arrived and asked us to tell her to turn on the air conditioner in the room early. After arriving at the store, she also enthusiastically provided services according to my family's requirements, such as charging the car, helping with luggage, answering questions about travel, taking pictures, etc., which made me and my family feel very warm. In addition, free fruits, tea and tea sets were arranged in the yard. My friend's family and I chatted in the yard for a night, haha. The facilities in the room cannot be said to be luxurious, but it can be seen that they are prepared according to the needs of most users. "Found Vision Villa while looking for a hike behind the village. Beautiful old town & narrow sidewalks before this enchanting resort appeared from nowhere. We booked a night ASAP and plan to return next chance we get. The pool is excellent, breakfast delicious, service friendly and responsive, combined with comfortable rooms with a great view. If interested, there's a trail that needs a full day to hike that goes over the back hills overlooking the resort. Amy's coffee is along the way and a great way to start the day!"

"Incredible stay! The welcome from the staff was perfect, warm, helpful and caring. The room was superb with a magnificent view. The hotel is located 2/3 km away from the city, which is easily covered on foot or by scooter rented at the bottom of the hotel, which is ideal for feeling like you're in the countryside without being too isolated from Yangshuo. All activities and visits are easily accessible. The hotel restaurant is simply excellent, and we were also very well advised on the regional specialties to try. We will happily return if we ever return to China!"
