That was the second time we stayed and service is still as awesome as ever with the service but the continental breakfast is not so good, the bread are stale and the orange juice taste old ( bad) . Other than the breakfast , the room was clean, the bed was nice. The bathroom was clean

One of the worst places in Portage. I was advised not to book here but it was my closest and most cost effective option. Staff were fine upon entry however I was booked into a 1st floor room that had a broken screen and the window would not stay shut. I tried for 45+ minutes to realign it to stay shut and after that went to the front desk to ask for a different room. The staff instead asked to see it for themselves and came to the room and ”fixed” it, via the same method I was trying. After a few minutes, he said it was fine and left the room. Less than an hour later, the window popped back open and I requested a different room. I asked for 1st floor since there is NO ELEVATOR - and I have several pieces of luggage. They instead booked me in the very last room on the 2nd floor. I asked for a 1st floor or something closer and they told me it was all they had. I then called customer service and was told there are actually 13 open rooms here with 3 of them on the 1st floor. The staff weren't honest and choose to make my stay difficult. Did not offer to help me carry bags or offer any sort of refund even tho I was going from a king to queen. I would NEVER recommend Super 8 and especially this one.

We had a good time with a very bad start. First, the negative: beware that the hotel will charge you an extra fee when you get there! I was charged an additional $86 ”resort fee” when I arrived, and the guy next to me in line had an additional $540! Expect this hidden fee that they don't tell you about. Other than that we had a mostly positive experience. Most staff were very friendly (minus one lady working the water slides who wasn't very nice). The rooms were clean, nice, and big, with a few very small problems (a handle on the sink broken off, but still usable, and a partially broken switch for the fan in the bathroom which was also still usable). I put trash outside our room to be thrown out, and a day later when we left it still hadn't been removed. Overall the hotel is nice and the water park was a lot of fun, but the extra fees right when I arrived soured me on the experience.

My husband and I tried to book a room on a Saturday in the Dells. I knew it would be tough but couldn’t find anything in a 10 mile radius. Luckily we managed to find a last minute cancel at the Best Western. We were very fortunate that they managed to get us a top floor room in the back of the hotel. And it was very quiet. Older property But the room was clean and bed very comfortable. Great dark out curtain and AC. Skipped the breakfast and opted for the Log Cabin in Baraboo. A good nights sleep. Happy folks.

This is my go to hotel when visiting my hometown area. It's always been a great place to stay. Big, super clean rooms and a good location. This year, a new (to me) employee made my stay even better. Chayle, who is now working the front desk, was a pleasure to work with. I first encountered her over the phone, when she helped me with some rather complicated reservations, then, when I arrived, I got to meet her in person. What a great addition to their nice staff, she is so friendly and helpful. The hotel has been kept in good repair over the years, there's a nice breakfast to get you on your way for the day, and there are some fast food type restaurants and a shop nearby. Lots of parking area for those with large vehicles. I believe dogs are welcome, check with them on this. There is an indoor swimming pool, but I've never used it. I'd defiantly reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
