"Came with my child for a university event. It's super convenient to take a taxi to Wujiaochang. The front desk staff were very thoughtful and helped me print documents for several days in a row. The transportation nearby is excellent; you can easily take a taxi or the subway, and it's not far to walk to North Bund either! I'll definitely consider staying here again next time."

Hotel near Lujiazui Area,Shanghai
The Intercity Hotel Shanghai Harbour Center is located in the Building C of the Zhong Qi International Financial Center, Binjiang Avenue of the Pudong New District. Take subway line 14 - Yuanshen Road - Exit 1 - walk 750 meters to the hotel. It is 2.9 kilometers away from the Oriental Pearl and 3.7 kilometers away from the Bund. Outside the window is the bright skyline of Lujiazui, and the feet Below is the rushing Huangpu River. You don't have to look at such a river view on your feet in the crowd, you can see the brilliance in the room; The hotel has 163 rooms and suites, with a total of 1F-11F multiple activity areas. The hotel room is equipped with the Ventilation Mechanical Control system, intelligent guest control, free minibar, supporting facilities: lobby bar, lounge, breakfast restaurant, private room for dining, gym, laundry room, conference room. The hotel integrates the unique 'Bauhaus' German design style and the hospitality from the German (DH) Hotel Group into Huazhu Group. The Intercity Hotel Shanghai Harbour Center was born from this, allowing guests on the journey to experience high-end, extreme business and leisure quality life.

"Our family was quite satisfied, and what we liked most was the spacious beds – two of them, one being 1.5 meters wide, which is really important for our family of four. The hotel also offers a washing machine and dryer, which is a big plus! The only downside is that the cleaning staff needs more training. The tissues ran out and weren't refilled the next day. Also, the next morning I woke up early to go for a run, while my wife and kids were still sleeping in the room. Around 8 AM, the cleaning lady knocked on the door, indicating she wanted to come in to clean. My wife and kids were still asleep and didn't hear her knock, but then she actually opened the door and came in! She must have seen the room was dark and realized people were still there, so she backed out. However, the knocking and opening of the door still woke up my wife and kids. My wife told me about this afterwards. I hope the hotel strengthens its training for the cleaning staff."

Summary: The worst service I've ever encountered in a hotel of this caliber. I stayed for 2 days. On the first night when I checked in, I noticed there was no doorman at the hotel entrance to open car doors or help with luggage. I asked the front desk if no one was on duty at night. The manager, who had a great attitude, said someone might have been out delivering something, and that it was quieter at night but they would improve. (He had a very good attitude and offered me breakfast, though I didn't eat it as I don't usually have breakfast). Then I asked the front desk for a latex pillow. I waited for half an hour upstairs, but it wasn't delivered. When I called, they said they forgot. Next, while looking for a charging port by the bed, I knocked over a glass and got really annoyed as to why the glass was placed by the bedside late at night (this was my fault, as I was quite angry at the time). The manager, with a great attitude, came to help clean it up, and I even went to the front desk the next day to apologize. Second day: I left my earphones, cigarettes, and lighter in the car. I messaged the driver to arrange for the concierge to bring them up. They were never brought up until the next day when I was checking out to go to the airport. I asked the driver why they hadn't been brought up, and the driver said he had given them to the concierge last night. I went to ask: the concierge said they forgot to deliver them. By the way: when I returned to the hotel on the second night, I still noticed there was no doorman or security. Car doors and luggage were unattended. I really don't know! What exactly is the concierge at this hotel doing! What are they responsible for!!! Facilities: The facilities are very good, the rooms are large, and the walk-in closet is excellent. I usually try out the pool and gym at every hotel, but I wasn't in the mood this time. I won't be coming back.

am writing to file a formal complaint about my stay at the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai. The experience was absolutely unacceptable: · The plumbing was a disaster — the toilet wouldn't flush properly. · The water temperature in the shower was completely unadjustable. I spent 15 minutes twisting the tap all the way to cold, but the water never changed temperature — it stayed scalding hot the entire time. · No basic sofa or settee in the room — nowhere to sit or lie down except the bed. And this wasn't a standard room — this was a suite. · The appliances and furniture look at least 20 years old, with visible signs of wear and tear everywhere. · I left my phone to charge overnight — I specifically checked that the charger was working before going to bed. Woke up in the morning to find my phone hadn't charged at all. The power outlets work intermittently at best. · The Wi-Fi was terrible — slow and with extremely low data throughput. It kept buffering and disconnecting, making it impossible to get any work done or even browse normally. · No razor provided in the bathroom. · The hairdryer had no attachments — not a single nozzle or diffuser. And to make things even worse, there wasn't a single power outlet in the bathroom. So in a 5-star hotel, I had to dry my hair next to the bed, with no mirror nearby. Absolutely ridiculous. · The breakfast was very mediocre — just a plain omelet with bacon, and they still managed to ruin it. To top it all off, I decided to order room service. The delivery driver dropped off my food at the reception desk at 10:20 PM and sent me a photo as proof. Do you know how long I had to wait for someone to bring it up to my room? 40 minutes. I went down to the front desk twice to ask about my order, and no one even apologized. We're in the 21st century — most hotels have delivery robots that bring food to your door in 5 minutes. Here, I paid three or four times as much and received this level of service. It's simply insulting. I have already canceled my second night and am checking out early. For this kind of money and with this kind of service, this stay was a complete disgrace. I expect a substantial refund for the night I actually spent here.

Our staycation was fantastic! 👍 I contacted the hotel in advance to arrange a bed rail and bottle sterilizer. Elio at the front desk was super nice ❤️. The pool experience was amazing, with a 0.5m children's pool equipped with water play facilities, and a 0.9m massage pool that even our baby could enjoy. The lifeguards were incredibly attentive, constantly keeping an eye on every family. When we left our swim ring in the room, one of them immediately gave our baby a floating board. The gym is full-sized, and I saw many group classes I'd love to try next time. The kids' play area is huge; our 18-month-old had a blast climbing around. Hotel guests get 24-hour access, covering two days. The hotel food is also suitable for small children, so no need to bring your own baby food! Plus, it's connected to Kerry Parkside, so you can buy anything you need on the spot. My husband said he wants to come for a staycation twice a month now!

Banyan Tree Shanghai On The Bund

I chose this hotel because it was recommended by Ctrip as the number one hotel for room views. I often stay at Banyan Tree hotels when I'm vacationing abroad. However, the Banyan Tree Shanghai was quite a disappointment. First, I'm not sure how it topped Ctrip's list. There are many hotels with better views at the same price point. The standard rooms here only offer a view of the river. If you're going for a deluxe room, there are definitely better hotels to choose from. I arrived at the hotel around 9 PM, and the ambient lighting was very dim, which gave a poor first impression. During check-in, it was the first time a five-star hotel tried to upsell me a room upgrade. It felt like I was at an all-season hotel being pushed to sign up for a membership card. I mentioned that it was my birthday the next day and asked if the hotel could provide some decorations. The response was that I'd need to inform the front desk again tomorrow for the decoration service. Why do I need to inform them twice? Most hotels offer concierge services nowadays, but Banyan Tree requires me to go to the front desk again the next day for decorations. This really shows a lack of service awareness. Ctrip automatically offers room upgrades, and since it was my birthday, I rarely encounter situations where an upgrade isn't given. When I asked why I couldn't be upgraded, they said there were no rooms available. However, I checked the room availability and saw there were. When I asked again, they replied it depends on the situation and couldn't be arranged at that moment. Upon reaching my room, I ordered takeout, only to find that it could only be delivered to the entrance. I then had to call the front desk to confirm my order before staff would bring it up, which was very inconvenient. After opening the window, the view was actually mediocre – half river view, half of the offices in the opposite securities building (clearly visible). It was a far cry from the advertised scenic views. I wanted to upgrade my room and asked a staff member to show me around. After the tour, I was told there were no rooms available. I went to the hotel pool and found it to be an underground children's pool, also selling ** fitness packages. The pool walls were old and moldy. I really wouldn't recommend it. On the positive side: The staff member who showed me the upgraded room, the restaurant staff, the bellboy, and the rooftop bar staff were all very pleasant and provided genuine service. The hotel breakfast was excellent, plentiful, and delicious, and served until 12 PM. Check-out time could be arranged flexibly. Ignoring the view with the window closed, the room space arrangement was very good. In summary: It's an older five-star hotel, half of which feels outdated and the upselling felt a bit 'low-rent.' The other half still maintains the standards of a high-end hotel. Overall, the value for money is low, and the comfort level is also low.

Beyond exceptional service! Incredible atmosphere, modern facilities, and huge thanks to Aaron, Silvia, and Tay! Five stars are truly not enough for H+ Hotel Shanghai, Pudong! From the very moment you step inside, the hotel smells delicious, fresh, and welcoming. The entire property radiates a sense of peace and tranquility, making it a wonderful retreat—especially considering we had to check in very late. Having complimentary tea, juice, and water right at the entrance was lovely, but it was the incredible team that made our stay unforgettable. 1. Arron's unmatched kindness and care: Special recognition goes to Arron. When I arrived late at night suffering from a severe cold, Arron didn't just point me to a pharmacy—he searched for an open one, walked me there at midnight, and translated everything so I could get the right medicine. The next day, he even checked in on me to ask how I was feeling and if I needed anything else. That genuine care is something I will never forget. 2. Silvia's incredible attention to detail (Saved my Invisalign!): I also want to give a massive thank you to Silvia. Amidst all the rushing and stress with a family emergency, I accidentally left my Invisalign retainers in a glass cup in the room. My family thought for sure they had been thrown away by housekeeping. When I called back, Silvia immediately checked and sent me a photo showing they were kept completely safe in the cup! Taking such care not to throw away personal items in glasses shows incredible delicacy and respect for guests' belongings. 3. Next-level facilities, room details & Circadian Lighting suggestion: The gym is great, and the self-service laundry features state-of-the-art washing machines with technology I had never seen before—it really shows how advanced China is right now! The spa looked beautiful and high-end (though a bit on the pricier side). The beds are extremely comfortable and a good size for four adults. Feature feedback / Tip on windowless rooms: The artificial window lighting in these rooms is fantastic because it genuinely looks like natural daylight! However, since the beds are so comfortable and the room can get pitch-black, it’s easy to oversleep when you want to wake up early to explore Shanghai. It would be an amazing feature if the hotel could automate these artificial light panels to turn on gradually with the sunrise to support guests' circadian rhythms! Conclusion: Wonderful modern facilities, a peaceful atmosphere, and most importantly, people like Arron, Silvia, and Tay who make this place truly special. I would return here in a heartbeat!

Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund

Stepping into the room, I was immediately greeted by the towering 'Huangpu River Four-Piece Set' (referring to the iconic skyscrapers) outside the window. Sitting on the sofa, the Huangpu River unfolded before me like a dynamic scroll painting. The bedding was incredibly soft and delicate; I instinctively wrapped myself tightly in the duvet. The Aesop pine-scented amenities were elegant and long-lasting, perfectly matching the Waldorf's style. The walk-in closet was well-designed and practical. I had bought some 'Ice Beauty,' 'Goddess,' 'Pink Iron Cannon,' and 'Orange Dream' flowers, and was using the room's trash can as a makeshift vase. The thoughtful Nini noticed and kindly replaced it with a beautiful glass vase. 👍 Aaron and Katrina provided meticulous and attentive service. It was a great 4-day experience. I'll definitely be back.

One great thing about Andaz is how frequently they change the floral arrangements; it always gives the place a fresh, new feel. A big thank you also to all the staff for their hard work during the hot summer; everyone's efforts are much appreciated. Special thanks to Peter at the front desk for thoughtfully checking my guest history and arranging the room I preferred.

This was my second stay at the W Hotel within three months, and once again, I was thoroughly impressed. The front desk kindly arranged a high-floor room, and the view from the window was absolutely captivating. From the concierge to the buffet restaurant and the swimming pool, all the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was attentive and meticulous. Both stays have been very satisfying, and I highly recommend it.
