Metropolo Hotels in Chongqing

The location is fine for what I wanted. It is close to dozens of fantastic cafes, bars and restaurants on and around Ziwei street. However, I’m not sure I’d choose it again. It’s a bit old and tired now. The rooms were once apartments; there is a small kitchen unit (no longer equipped). The worst thing was the disgusting smell of stale cigarette smoke in my non-smoking room. Even after 48 hours of open windows, it made no difference. The shower suddenly went freezing cold for a second or two approximately every minute (both mornings) and the utterly bizarre hard and sharp plastic spikes on the shower mat did not exactly improve the mood! The city view room is not worth paying for. It is a city view, but no landmarks. The traffic is noisy all night (especially with windows open due to cigarette smells)! As an internationally branded hotel, they need to do better in terms of stamping out smoking. I think I could have done better for the money and will seek to do so the next time I’m in Chongqing.

Super nice, although the room a bit old but still have an amazing stay here especially with the price and the service I got, the front desk r super helpful and friendly, the house keeper also super nice I ask for a bit of extra tea they gave me 4-6 extra tea packets, the area also good there's food near like 2-3 mins walk, convenient store, station 5 mins walk, the main attraction also super near except for ciqikou(磁器口) would stay here again if I'm back in Chongqing!!!!

This was a surprising find! Glenview ITC Plaza Chongqing wasn’t on my radar at first—it was booked by my supplier’s travel agent for the main group. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle bus to and from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG)—one less headache for travelers. But the real highlight? The breakfast buffet! 🍜🥢 Not only is there an incredible variety of choices, but they have a noodle station serving authentic Chongqing noodles—a perfect way to sample local flavors before venturing out into the city. And get this—the buffet runs from 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM (not a typo! 1:30 PM!). No pressure to wake up early; you can take your time and even treat it as an early lunch before heading out to explore. Another bonus? 鲁祖庙 (Luzu Temple area) is right next door, a trendy spot filled with stylish cafés and restaurants—perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea or coffee. Great Location & Friendly Staff The hotel is in an excellent location, with food streets just downstairs—perfect for exploring local cuisine. The staff are friendly and always ready to help, making the stay even more pleasant. Highly recommend for those looking for convenience and good service!

Overall, had a very pleasant stay with JW. Place was clean and environment is good. Location is also very ideal. Close to city centre but yet not too bustling. Happy to stay again in JW in future.

We travelled as a family of 4 and booked the 2 bedroom apartment. We enjoyed our 5 nights stay at Ascott Raffles City Chongqing. 1. Location was ideal. Connected on the metro Line 1. Plenty of shops and restaurants within the mall. Ascotts is connected to the mall via Entrance 12. 2. Room is spacious for 4 adults. Daily housekeeping and they are generous to provide more drinking water for us throughout the stay. 3. Amenities: There is the pool and gym. Looks good. 4. Food: Daily breakfast included. Good assortment of local and western fare. In addition, there is supper provided for those who are keen. 5. Lastly, I want to comment on the helpful staff and the genuine great service provided. We arrived on 9 Mar Sun night. After check-in, we decided to go into the mall for dinner. The bellhop/porter at level 1 was very nice. Noted that it was already 920pm. He informed us that the mall entrance 12 will closed at 10pm. To return back to hotel, we would have to use other exit. Instead of just giving us instructions, he made the extra effort to walk with us to enter the mall using another entrance (which will be open when the mall closes).  Really appreciate his great services.

Was staying at the hotel in May this year but this time round the original 2 rooms that was assigned I am very disappointed that the Aircon was not working well. First time, they said that due to winter and it's all central system controlled so it's like this. They tried to solve the issue by bringing a cooler.. tried and it's totally no use at all. I compared the 2 rooms and my parents room was much warmer than mine so I had no choice but to go down and inform them about it. They did an excellent recovery by changing another room for my parents and they offered a suite for them. The room this time round is very cooling.. much cooler than mine but it's ok mine is still alright. I hope they will look into proper maintenance of the hotel.

Bit taken back by the surrounding neighborhood. Nevertheless, impressive property in its own right. Strategically situated atop the hillside, restaurant and room views are incredible. The staff are very accommodating of English-only tourists. Large rooms and spacious deck. Breakfast was very good and the outside infinity-like pool offers sweeping views, day or night!

Stayed for 4 nights in this amazing hotel. Picked the kids room which was great for my kid. Beds were comfy and big. Great location. Lots of food just walking distance away. The laundry washer and dryer service is great. Good value for money. Only thing is that breakfast is almost the same everyday. Chinese style breakfast. But food is good. Great assistance from staff Xiaolu too. Highly recommended place to stay.
