The hotel appears to be one of the older establishments in the city, with a rich history of hosting dignitaries in its prime. Despite its age, it has been well-maintained. My room was spacious, and I was pleasantly surprised when I was upgraded from a twin room to a king-size bed, as I was staying alone. If you’ve stayed in hotels from the early 2000s, the nostalgic carpeted hallways and rooms will remind you of that era. While it may not be to everyone’s taste, I personally appreciated the vintage charm. The location is quite convenient, with good cafes, a night market, and a mall within walking distance. Being situated along the main road makes it easy to grab dinner at the night market and return to the hotel. The reception staff were friendly and spoke both intelligible English and Mandarin. I managed to book the room at an excellent rate, so my experience here exceeded expectations. If I were on vacation, I would have happily extended my stay for a relaxing staycation.

I was lucky enough to get a booking at this hotel just before NYE. I had to relocate as the previous hotel I stayed at was fully booked. So I was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel facilities at the price offered. I only stayed a couple of nights but I would certainly stay there again given the chance.

Lower score because had to change to room twice as room received was wrong + dirty/open electric circuit.

Amazing gym. Pool is unheated but comfortable. Clean comfortable rooms. 10 minute walk to old city.

The hotel is worn out. Especially the bathroom. Toilet paper holder is broken. The tiles in the bathroom are dirty. I would give two star rating. Wifi is also very bad. Not recommend to stay . It's not worth for what we paid.

An elegant older hotel. Princess Diana stayed there in the 80s. Older but well kept.

I received a warm welcome, the room was clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was good too. Check out was fast and easy. I would stay there again.

My friend and I stayed for five days and were happy with the service. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Hospitality and good service were apparent from the moment you entered the hotel, even when we ate breakfast every morning, till you left the premises. The hotel is historical, but I admire how they preserved its natural, antique appeal. They offer a pool, a fully equipped fitness facility, and a sauna. I can just hang out in the hotel for days. They will keep your room clean every day, change your towels and bedding, and supply bottled water daily. Really appreciate it. The only issue we encountered was the WiFi connection in the room, which was intermittent. The room's lighting was a little dim at night. Overall, I loved my stay at the hotel. I would suggest it to anyone who wants to enjoy a classic feel with excellent service. Thank you very much!

Old style hotel with big rooms. Surprisingly, no water at front desk or in lobby. Late check-in was convenient and easy.

Very famous old hotel, 40 years ago. It could definitely use a refurbishment! All the pool chairs are broken, the rooms interior are old fashioned.
