"Great place to stay, the staff are very welcoming especially the guards once they see you from afar they will already open the door for you. Free breakfast is included and the pool area is nice just so that we weren't able to go for a swim since it's raining on the island that time."

Amazing
CCallum TOverall a disappointing stay with Crimson. It started off bad and really never improved sadly. Our flight into Caticlan was delayed 5 hours, arriving at 19:30. I was in communication with Crimson throughout the delay updating them on our progress and estimated arrival time. They had warned me that they don’t organise transfers after 8pm. However, upon arrival they had left us to transit to the hotel via a third party provider. This provider was fine, and did their job, but it was a transfer that involved stopping at 3 other hotels - very much not the private 5 star experience we had been promised, taking 1 hour and a half. The fact they did not wait until 8pm, when other resorts were prepared and waiting, was a big disappointment. The transfer was eventually provided for free after our experience - which to be honest is the bare minimum. It’s insane I even had to pay for the transfer considering most 5 star hotels would provide this for free. Whilst the rooms were fine, the service was extremely disappointing throughout. Check-in took ages, and for some reason there is no aircon in anywhere outside the restaurants and rooms, so we were stuck sweating after an 8 hour journey whilst waiting the 30 minutes to check in. Additionally, every single request we made was either ignored or took ages. I had requested decorations in the room to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, but received nothing. I managed to get things organised whilst there, but after requesting matches to light a candle, these never arrived. Add on the fact we would have to request water multiple times before any showed up and it was all just very frustrating. We had booked a sea view room, but were unable to fully enjoy it as it was located directly in front of the infinity pool, with guests able to see directly into the privacy of our bedroom due to the lack of any noticeable tinting on the windows. The rooms were also not soundproofed, and we had to wake up early every day to the sounds of screaming children using the pool in front of our room. No amenities were on offer - no access to water bottles without requesting or paying, no access to coffee without paying, no welcome or departure drinks, no free water on the beach (which is seriously just dangerous). Crimson certainly has a 5 star beach and sea. The access to the beach is superb and the sand and sea were typically excellent, but it’s not as if Crimson has control over these things. In fact despite the environmental fee, I regularly saw some litter in the sea and on the beach. It felt very budget in the way they treat you. There are shuttles to the centre but these run almost every 3 hours and are often packed, offered on a first come first serve basis. Every little thing is charged too. For a check out at 12pm instead of 11am, it’s 2000PHP. There’s no way to charge anything to rooms to pay upon check out (like every other hotel) if you do not have a credit card. Debit cards are no good for the deposit apparently. We just stayed at Piece Lio in El Nido, which was far far far superior. It’s a real shame because Crimson does not do service to a terrific sea and stunning location. It may be the most modern 5 star hotel on the island but honestly just pay the extra and go to the Shangri-La. It’s almost as if they knew how bad it was. We weren’t even asked how our stay was upon checking out, as if they were dreading the answer. It felt like an American diner leaving, where they just wanted us out the room as quickly as possible to make space for their next cash cow. We even arrived at the airport 3 hours early for a domestic flight for some reason.

GGuest UserAmazing service from F&B staff, housekeeping and lifeguard at the pool. My 1 yr old enjoyed the amenities as there are a lot options to play with The complimentary access to Brighbuds Play Club is a nice gesture. They have a beautiful swimming pool The amenities are clean Housekeeping is quick to attend to our needs Breakfast options could be improved, especially like us who stayed for 7 days, we were looking for variety of food choices. Add more fruits. Replace the fish fillet dishes with dried fish perhaps.

GGuest UserI want to start by commending the housekeeping and room quality. My room was well-appointed, clean, and comfortable, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the service standards did not match the quality of the accommodation. Since this was my first time staying with in this hotel, I wanted to share specific instances that affected my experience: • Dining Protocols: During lunch, staff began breaking down the buffet without informing dining guests. As I was still eating, this felt dismissive. A simple ”last call” announcement would have been appreciated. Similarly, during breakfast, my table was fully cleared while I was away getting dessert, creating confusion. Better training on recognizing when a guest has actually finished dining is needed. • Menu Expectations: I was disappointed to find the lunch menu significantly more limited than what is currently advertised in vlogs and online marketing. Managing these expectations is crucial for guest satisfaction. • Front Desk Efficiency: The check-out process was surprisingly slow. For travelers on a tight schedule, an inefficient check-out can create significant stress regarding flight times. I suggest reviewing your staffing or systems during peak departure hours.

GGuest UserThe land transfer was smooth, but unfortunately, the check-in time took longer than promised. One of the front desk staff mentioned our room would be available by 1 PM, but it wasn’t until 2:30 PM that we could check into one room. We then had to wait another 30 minutes before the other room was ready. Additionally, the second room had an unpleasant “kulob” smell, unlike the first room. It’s disappointing that the check-in was the only issue, as everything else was fine.

JJust Me WelNice place and walking distance to one of the most unmatched white beaches in the world. They provide beach towels, and the breakfast is nice and plated. The guards and staff are very friendly and well-mannered. The room just needs a bit of improvement—there were no towel racks. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Kk_fr_23We stayed in Movenpick for one whole week following the recommendation from a friend who stayed there twice already when she traveled to Boracay, and on the whole, we didn’t regret this choice either. We’ll share some positive things first, then negative. It was our first time to visit the island, and we knew that the White Beach area is always crowded, full of beggars and people offering you to go sailing or try out massage at their salon literally every five steps which is quite annoying. On the contrary, Movenpick is a quiet and secluded place where you can enjoy your vacations at the fullest. The prices in the resort restaurants are almost the same as in the White Beach cafes, maybe a little higher, but the food is way more delicious (we especially loved the dishes in Brezza). We didn’t expect it to be so good after reading some negative reviews on Ctrip, so it was a nice surprise. The breakfast was also amazing, with a variety of options and outstanding service (and they do have black coffee, so don’t trust those who mention that there is no coffee at the breakfast buffet). But what impressed us most was a very warm and friendly attitude of all staff to every single guest. They always approached us with a big smile, and after several days of staying, they could even remember our cocktail preferences at daily Happy Hour! Nice little sweet treats at Chocolate hour, live music from 6pm daily, plenty of space and activities offered at the resort - we loved it a lot. However, there are some tiny things you must know before booking. Half of the swimming pool might be closed for maintenance, which is totally understandable yet isn’t what you expect when choosing this hotel (neither it is convenient nor pleasant to see). Although the rooms are comfortable and clean, you can see they haven’t been renovated for a while (AC/fridge are quite noisy, some things like shower gel dispenser might get broken easily - but they can be replaced at once if you inform the hotel). Last, if you are unlucky with neighbours (especially if there’s a family with an infant in the room one floor above yours), then you might enjoy terrible noise all the day as the rooms are not soundproof. We couldn’t sleep for 2 nights, and only on the 3rd night we were offered a bigger room for sleeping overnight (but the AC was loud there, not to mention some weird sounds outside in the middle of the night - could be an electricity generator or something else - that woke us up and we had to move back to our main room with the hope that our neighbours were fast asleep). In a word, it is recommended to bring some earplugs and not hesitate to inform the receptionists about any problem you have at once and ask for an immediate solution. Generally speaking, if we ever decide to return to Boracay for vacations, it’s highly likely we will choose Movenpick for the whole stay time again.

DDen4iikkkThis review is genuine, without embellishment. Excellent hotel. Thank you to the hotel and all the staff for a wonderful stay! The hotel staff are very friendly and smiling, they will help you with everything and guide you in everything, they are always willing to accommodate you. Clean and spacious rooms. The grounds are huge. There is a 7-Eleven across the street from the hotel. The beach is practically private. This information would have been important to me when choosing a hotel in the Philippines. There are almost no waves on this beach, unlike the main white beach. There are almost no people, you swim almost alone, no one will bother you. The entrance to the water is perfect. The sand is gorgeous. There are no sea urchins. It's the perfect place for snorkeling! Say hi to Nemo, the clownfish. It's the perfect place for photos. The hotel has an excellent breakfast and restaurant, with reasonable prices. We almost always ate there. Everything is very tasty. They also held Chill and Grill events, where they serve excellent burgers! You can get to the center by free shuttle or order a tuk-tuk for 300 pesos. It's a very long walk, so we always used these transportation services. Thanks to the hotel, we have the most pleasant and positive impressions. We went there for our wedding anniversary, and they gave us a very pleasant and nice surprise. If you are choosing a hotel, I guarantee you won't go wrong with this one. Thank you!

SSTEPHEN OCHIENG KULALISavoy Hotel Newcoast Boracay – A Truly Family-Friendly Stay Our stay at Savoy Hotel in Newcoast Boracay was excellent from start to finish, and it genuinely stood out as one of the most family-friendly hotels we’ve experienced on the island. From the moment we arrived, the reception team made us feel welcome and taken care of—especially as a family. Check-in was smooth, warm, and efficient, and there was a clear sense that the staff understood what families need: patience, clarity, and a little extra support when traveling with kids. The family room was a big highlight. It was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, giving everyone enough room to relax without feeling cramped. After a full day out, it really felt like coming back to a proper space designed for rest and convenience. Food was another strong point. The buffet offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were consistently good—varied, well-prepared, and satisfying. There was something for everyone, and the quality stayed steady across meals, which isn’t always the case in buffet setups. The hotel facilities were also impressive and well-maintained, making it easy to enjoy our time without needing to constantly go elsewhere. Everything felt organized, clean, and guest-focused. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Special mention to Lance—always happy, highly supportive, and a huge help when it came to logistics and assistance. Whether it was coordinating details or simply making sure things ran smoothly, he was reliable and genuinely attentive. Maddie also deserves recognition for her excellent customer care in the restaurant—friendly, responsive, and consistently on top of things in a way that makes dining feel easy and pleasant. We also appreciated how keen and supportive the security team was. Their presence added a reassuring sense of safety, and they were always helpful when we needed guidance or assistance. Finally, the free drop-offs and pick-ups provided by the hotel were a great added benefit. It made getting around much easier and took away a lot of the typical hassle of transportation in Boracay. In general, Savoy Hotel Newcoast Boracay delivered a comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable stay for our family. Great rooms, good food, excellent facilities, and standout service—highly recommended, especially for families looking for an stress-free and well-supported vacation.

AAnonymous UserThe room was located at the 5th floor without elevator, it discourages as to go somewhere when we are already at the room. Lack of toiletries, there was no dental kits. The bathroom is a bath tub style that do not automatically drain, the reason we can't take a bath because the water just stocked there all the night. We called the management 3 times and waited for hours to fix the problem.
