Hotels with Breakfast in Karuizawa

This hotel is definitely one for the bucket list! The service is excellent, and the food is delicious. They also offer a shuttle service to Karuizawa Station, with a polite driver and soft music playing in the car. My only minor complaint is that the hotel doesn't provide bicycle rentals, but you can easily find rental shops nearby.

Overall, this was a rather disappointing hotel stay. Before our trip, our plans changed, and we asked the Trip.com concierge to help with cancellation/modifications. However, they were unyielding, and we couldn't cancel for free, so we had to proceed as planned. After checking in, I waited alone in the waiting area for a long time, expecting a staff member to accompany me to the room and explain the facilities. I waited for half an hour with no one attending to me. When a large group of tourists arrived, the front desk became crowded. After inquiring again, I was told there was no escort service to the rooms and I had to find my way myself. At 3:30 PM, housekeeping was still ongoing in the room areas. The room space was cramped, and the view was unremarkable. For a room rate of over 4,000 yuan, the hardware and service provided were far from satisfactory. The hotel's Italian restaurant had decent food, but it wasn't positioned as a high-end restaurant, and the wine list was very limited. The next day, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the restaurant. For some reason, perhaps they didn't understand English, there was a long delay. After further communication, a car was arranged half an hour later, which was baffling. Considering all these experiences, I will not choose this hotel again in the future.

Bringing the dog to stay together, very satisfied in all aspects. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Karuizawa Station, and there is a free shuttle service, which is very considerate. The hotel facilities are very clean. Although it is a pet hotel, the rooms and public areas do not have any unpleasant smell. Both indoor and outdoor are equipped with a dog run and a dog salon where you can take photos. It was fun to communicate and play with other dogs in the public area. During the stay, you can also soak in the hot springs, and adults can also relax and enjoy. In short, it was a very satisfying experience. Next time I go to Karuizawa, I still want to take the dog!

Thank you very much! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and we really appreciated being able to borrow dishes and cutlery, as well as getting complimentary bottled water! The room was also very spacious and clean, which we were very happy with! The location right in the shopping street was also great! However, it was a shame that we couldn't open the curtains in our room even in the morning, as many people walk by and can easily see into the room from outside.

The rooms are incredibly spacious. The breakfast is abundant and aligns perfectly with Japanese nutritional standards. I highly recommend Usagi no Mori, a bunny-themed restaurant just a 5-minute walk away, next to a large supermarket. The hotel's location is also very convenient for visiting any attractions in Karuizawa.

Highly recommended! The hotel offers a shuttle service, and the surrounding area is very pleasant. Both breakfast and dinner are exceptional and unique. I hope to have the chance to visit again in the future. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, all with wooden structures that give a very calming feel.

Hotel Marroad is just a few minutes by the shuttle bus from the station , and it can also be reached on foot. We booked a room for 4 people and the room size is good at a very reasonable price (include breakfast). The fixtures are a bit old. However, the room and the amenities are very clean. We come to skiing and the hotel has a rental service (much cheaper than you rent at the ski field) which is very convenient. Also, they send us to ski field every day. Staff can speak little English, but they are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, and it is a must try.

After enjoying scones and tea as a welcome treat, I rented an electric bicycle and explored Old Karuizawa. I drove from Tokyo to the hotel, but the roads were crowded everywhere because it was Golden Week, so being able to rent a bicycle there was a real lifesaver. Dinner was British-style cuisine, and the staff's service was wonderful; I had a fantastic time. Throughout my stay, from beginning to end, I received incredibly warm service that truly showed their hospitality. Considering it was the middle of Golden Week, and with this location and service, I was amazed at the price! This is a hotel I would definitely want to return to.

Absolutely impressed! It truly lives up to its reputation as a resort town – peaceful, beautiful, and with amazing views. The rooms were incredibly clean, the service was excellent, and the onsen was a perfect 100. The classic-style rooms were clean and cozy, with high-quality furniture. I would definitely return if I have the chance. Parking is free for those with cars, and the hotel also offers a shuttle service for train travelers. The food is high-quality, and the restaurant, rooms, onsen, and views are simply stunning.

Instead, I opted to book for one night to see if it met my expectations, intending to decide later whether to extend my stay. After dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, I made up my mind and chose to extend for an additional night. The reception staff spoke good English, making the check-in process smooth. The set dinner and breakfast were delicious, with the restaurant staff being polite and attentive. I must commend the chef for the effort in creating varied menus for both dinner and breakfast each day of our stay. The onsen was quiet and peaceful during my visit around 5 PM. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable; however, the lighting was too dim for my preference. The only downside of my stay was the weak Wi-Fi signal, not just in the room but throughout most areas of the hotel.
