"My First Hostel Experience — And It Was a Blast! Ostello Bello Palermo was my first-ever hostel stay, and honestly — it was an amazing surprise! At first, I was placed in a room with all guys, but when I asked to switch, the staff quickly and kindly arranged a change for me. Each room has 11 beds and 2 showers, and everything was super clean, which I really appreciated. The common area is lovely — warm, welcoming, and full of life. That night, there was a DJ party that lasted until 1 a.m., and sleeping was definitely not an option… but I was in the spirit of experimentation, so I just went with it and ended up dancing and having a great time. I met some amazing local musicians who were born in Palermo, and we had such a fun night hanging out and talking. It felt like a truly authentic and spontaneous experience. Breakfast was tasty, with a good selection. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly — especially one guy at the reception (I wish I remembered his name!) who was just the sweetest. Thank you for making my first hostel stay so special. I’ll never forget it 💛"

"As for the stay, everything went relatively well, except that those who wanted to enjoy the pool in this heat would have to deal with a lifeguard who was perhaps a horrible, pretentious lifeguard with no respect for the tourists who were staying at the hotel, so for anyone who wanted to swim, choose another hotel. He forced us to get out of the water, claiming that the buoy wasn't for tourists but for him, and so we had to go buy a buoy outside. Here's what I can say about it. However, the people in other departments are very pleasant."

"Pros: - location is a 5-minute walk from the railway station, from where buses go both to Palermo airport and to other cities - the street looks quite safe even in the evening, but it’s difficult to call it clean. The area is generally unattractive - it’s convenient to walk both to the center and towards the sea. There is a nice park nearby (Villa Giulia). On the way to it (on the side of the hotel), there is a good bar-pasticeria Bar Touring (cocktails, coffee, a large selection of cakes and pastries, ice cream) - the room was quite clean upon check-in (there was a room with an entrance from the patio). I saw photos from other reviews, in my case everything in the room was fine and in working order - a good, fairly powerful hairdryer in the bathroom - breakfast is not the most delicious and varied (boiled eggs, cheese, a couple of types of cold cuts, toast bread, jam, yogurt, croissants), but you won’t go hungry Minuses: - poor sound insulation (you can hear everything and everyone, especially from the patio). If you are a light sleeper and go to bed early or get up late, take earplugs with you - during 4 days of stay they never did cleaning or took out the trash - the room had a large table and 4 chairs, but there wasn’t even an electric kettle or cup to make tea - the staff at the reception is almost never on site, most of the time it is locked."

"La struttura è pulitissima, ben organizzata e curata, con la zona piscine e vasca Jacuzzi che è veramente un gioiellino con una vista mozzafiato su Palermo. Stanza ampia, luminosa e pulitissima. Servizio professionale e sempre attento al dettaglio. Il ristorante è di ottima qualità e varietà di scelta. Potrebbero secondo me sfruttare la zona piscina anche la sera, visto il tanto spazio e la presenza del chiosco bar, con della musica da sottofondo, e luci soffuse per un bel aperitivo o cocktail bordo piscina con vista panoramica. Creare una situazione tranquilla, rilassante, dove poter interagire con gli altri ospiti, semplice ma efficace. La posizione infatti, un poco fuori mano ti obbliga la sera a prendere l'auto o una navetta e andare a Palermo. Un consiglio, il ristorante è un po' caro, soprattutto in rapporto alla quantità delle porzioni, anche se la qualità è alta. La pizza è nella media generale. Potrebbe invogliare più ospiti a restare a cena, anche se poi devi creare qualcosa, come detto prima, per far vivere la bella struttura anche nelle ore serali. Unica nota dolente, ahimè, dopo il check out delle 11, sei obbligato ad andare via. La maggior parte delle strutture invece, ti consente di restare un'altra mezza giornata in piscina, dove tra l'altro è facile prendere delle consumazioni al bar. Questa cosa va migliorata secondo me. Volevo restare fino alle 14, per godere un'altra ora della Jacuzzi, ma nonostante ho chiesto varie volte, la cosa mi è stata negata e non insistendo, sono andato via. Tornerò sicuramente, perché mi sono trovato veramente bene. Spero che la direzione dell'hotel prenda le mie considerazioni, non come critiche, ma come consigli. Per il resto tutto veramente ottimo"

"I took the bus from the airport to Politeama and walked to the hotel. Palermo has a convenient bus service so I bought an unlimited bus ticket for the duration of my stay. The bus stop was close to the hotel so it was convenient. The hotel is old and feels a bit old, but it wasn't a problem. The room was spacious and had a balcony, which was nice. There was a variety of fruit available at breakfast, which was nice. If I were to order anything from the hotel, I would like the minibar to be emptied. In particular, the peanuts in the minibar were dried out and the packaging had come off, so I wondered if they had been touched by something in there. Overall I am satisfied."

"It faces the front street 15 minutes walk from Palermo central station. There is a supermarket on the other side of the street, which is convenient for food procurement. It is easy to get to Monreare by bus from the side of Palermo Central Station or to sightseeing in Agrigent by train. There is a long-distance bus terminal next to the central station. The appearance is an old building in Italy, but the facilities were comfortable without problems."

"Used the hotel for a short stop before heading back to the airport. Excellent location but pictures make it look a lot better than it is. It was clean and functional but no warmth. Breakfast was good. Only scrambled eggs for hot option, but lots of croissants, muffins, cereal etc. if you just want somewhere to get your head down for a couple of nights it’s great. Wouldn’t stay longer than that."

"The hotel has its climate-beautiful decor. Very good location-everywhere you can walk, to the main attractions of the city, to the center, to the restaurant. Watch out for the micro-lift - something else. Breakfast very good - a large selection of sweet snacks (typically Italian) but there is also baked raisins and cheese. For me this Hotel is a shot at 10. I recommend"
