Hotels with Breakfast in Calvia

I was traveling in Mallorca that day and due to some unforeseen circumstances, I booked this hotel last minute, snagging the very last room. It turned out to be the perfect choice. This hotel is very new; the general manager told me it only opened last October and was even closed for three months during winter for maintenance, so all the facilities and equipment are sparkling. The staff speak excellent English, the design aesthetic is spot-on, and there are so many photo opportunities and sights to see in the common areas. Breakfast was also exquisite. The front desk lady was beautiful, spoke great English, and provided excellent service – she was incredibly attentive. We had a lovely chat, and I told her I absolutely had to praise her on Chinese social media; I hope she gets to see this! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, parking is free and very convenient here; they'll even help you move your car and arrange a spot, which is actually quite rare in Mallorca.

We were assigned a room at the very end of the corridor, which we only discovered upon reaching our floor. As we didn't experience any discomfort during the first night, we decided against requesting a room change. The view and the restaurant's ambiance were both excellent. While the restaurant was a bit pricey, we mostly ended up eating there because we didn't want to venture out. However, I must express my disappointment with the in-room amenities. The towels were old and worn, the bedding felt coarse, and the hand soap and shampoo bottles looked incredibly cheap. The liquid itself was so thick and glue-like that I dared not use it. On another note, the beach chairs outside the hotel are not complimentary and require a fee to use, as they don't belong to the property.

Hotel Bendinat in Mallorca is one of those rare gems that feels like a home away from home. Having stayed here multiple times over the years, I can confidently say that it offers a perfect blend of understated luxury, Mediterranean charm, and tranquility. The rooms are elegantly designed in a classic Mediterranean style, with whitewashed walls, wooden accents, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Many of them come with private terraces, perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine in the evening. While the décor is timeless, the hotel has managed to maintain a fresh and well-kept feel over the years. One of the highlights of every stay is dining at Las Terrazas de Bendinat, the hotel’s restaurant. Sitting right by the sea, it offers some of the best seafood dishes on the island. Their paella and grilled fish are a must-try, and the service is always warm and attentive. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a long, leisurely lunch with a view of the shimmering water. I really like the room leading directly to a small garden. The weather is very good and the hotel public area is also very beautiful. It seems that there is a door at the end of the large garden that leads directly to the beach. There is a road along the sea for a leisurely walk.

We had a wonderful family holiday at the Valentin Grand Park Suite Hotel. The hotel was a great choice for our trip, and we especially appreciated how much there was for the children to enjoy. One of the highlights for us was the evening entertainment. The shows were really enjoyable and professionally done, with something for both adults and children. It was lovely to be able to finish the day together as a family, enjoying a great show and a relaxed atmosphere. The kids’ club was another big highlight. Our children had a fantastic time there and really enjoyed the activities. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable leaving the kids to have fun while we had a little time to ourselves. It was great to see how happy and excited they were to go back. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing family holiday. We would happily stay here again!

The hotel pool looks great, but it's really overcrowded. So many people reserve loungers with their towels early in the morning, by 8 a.m. there are no spots left, and it's obvious nobody is actually using them, just saving them. We booked a sea view room but were given a corner room instead. Looking at Ctrip reviews, I'm not the only one this has happened to, which makes me wonder if it's discrimination against Chinese guests. On the plus side, the room seemed bigger than in the photos. As for the sea view, we checked in late at night, so I couldn't be bothered to deal with it.

I had requested a few things and I got absolutely everything I wanted and even more than what I expected, I was on floor 5 and some may say it’s loud but I genuinely don’t think it was the doors block out all the music that goes on the rooftop pool. So I absolutely loved this floor for my room. I was a solo girl traveller and I felt super safe, all the staff are so polite even the life guard who helped me take a few pictures. The housekeeping was very polite always stocked up the fridge with water and juice also keeping the room so clean I’ve never seen such clean hotel. I honestly could not fault anything about the hotel it was just such an amazing experience and I will definitely be only going there for my future trips.

This is our 2nd trip to this hotel. It’s now on a B&B only ( we had half board last year) with the breakfast served across the road in a restaurant with the best views across the bay! Great selection of food and drinks.  The man on reception is super helpful and friendly even at 11.45pm!  Lovely small hotel with a small pool Comfy beds and the balcony is spacious with an area to dry towels etc.  The hotel offers towels for rent but we bought one for €5 in the supermarket next door.  Cleaned every day and cleaned well.  Lots of restaurants and shops close by.  The fabulous beach is a 10minute stroll, with a massive supply of sun beds ( €20.50 a day for 2 beds under a fixed umbrella and an attached safety box)  We will definitely go back to Playas del Rey

We stayed in a superior triple room, such a stunning view and the whole hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were super friendly and we felt very welcomed! The main pool is lovely, the only thing I would say is that I saw on the pool rules that you can’t reserve sun beds, yet many people left towels on them all day and you never saw them until late afternoon, which isn’t fair on everyone. Nothing against the hotel at all, but if you want a sunbed, you need to reserve one in the morning!
