MMauveMHad a wonderful stay here at Forest Inn, Hainan University! My cousin is starting university nearby and we came to drop her off. Since we had stayed in the downtown before, we wanted to find a place close to campus to experience. This hotel is the best option! It’s right within the campus entrance and easy to navigate to. The front desk concierge’s were very friendly and kind - two of them even took us around on the tour bus to familiarize us with the campus and surrounding area. They even went out of their way and offered to help us unload luggage. Since there was no parking space on move-in day, having the option to drop off saved us a lot of hassle. In addition to campus, the hotel is also located close to a botanical garden, about 15 minutes to the downtown area, and close to shops, stores, etc.
Some suggestions:
- Wish the pool was accessible as advertised on Trip but it’s now only a kiddie pool.
- For longer stays, room amenities should be replenished daily based on number of guests.
- I received a rather expensive delivery during my stay and asked the courier to leave it with the front desk as I was out during that time. There was someone at the front desk with a poor attitude who denied that any deliveries arrived and suggested it had been delivered to another location. Luckily, another staff member helped me check and found my delivery. I suggest besides giving guests misleading information, to ensure it’s accurate first.

The most satisfying thing is the gym! A complete set of brand new startrac equipment! It’s not a high-end product though! But it works! I also see Xingchi quite often when I am on a business trip in San Francisco! The West Coast is popular! And the new condition is still great! Nautilius's power zone is also pretty standard! But the laundry machines are not that great! Haier still can't use commercial machines! The meeting room is so messy that I suspect pillows are holding a meeting! The outdoor garden is too perfunctory! There is no romance at all! It doesn’t fit the concept of garden! I feel like the boss is very stingy when investing! But the gym and breakfast are ok!
