"Nice place but they are all about charging you. A $38 drink is a robbery. $309 for a cushion by the pool is absurd. Nice place and well kept main areas. No coffee pot is a big deal. They never reloaded the room refrigerator."

"Downstairs of the hotel is a famous pedestrian street with various restaurants and clothing stores! Very convenient! The hotel lobby is on the 2nd floor, and you can check in after 14:00! "Overall it's okay, it's more like a B&B, and it's a relatively cheap hotel in South Beach. We have all the necessary infrastructure, and don’t expect anything extra. It's a seven or eight-minute walk from the beach, and there are restaurants, dessert shops, and pharmacies along the way. Maybe we come here to avoid the cold in winter. It was packed with people. We arrived at night and couldn't even think of adding an extra blanket. The service attitude is very good, but the level needs to be improved. There were three people in line before check-in, and they waited for half an hour. I am very grateful for the patient explanation to everyone, but there is no explanation about free drinks for half a day, etc. The important information is still not explained clearly. It took several people to find the building where we live. The entire South Beach in Miami is just a resort base, with basically no residents, and the newly built buildings are also hotels. If you are financially well-off, it will be much more comfortable to stay in a high-end hotel. If you don’t have enough financial resources, Sarasota’s B&Bs are relatively cheap and are much closer to the beach. You can go there with just your slippers. The white sand beach is also very beautiful and comfortable. If you go directly to Mexico to enjoy the exotic scenery, you can spend less money and enjoy it more comfortably."

"I would totally recommend this hotel , it’s fresh the location is great the staff all friendly pool was lovely beach was lovely drinks are great but expensive and that goes for food too great but expensive. The breakfast range is outstanding but again pricey. My only gripe was the extra $18 dollars a day per person which we were not told about for using the facilities? And we lost a whole day and night due to our flights being cancelled and they didn’t want to give any refund and wanted to still charge us the $18 dollars per person for the day we were not even there. We did argue this they took it off but refused to refund the night stay for 2 rooms was $500 so a considerable amount to be out of pocket. But if this hadn’t have happened we would not have any complaints."

"This was my third stay at Eden Roc, fantastic hotel – However, my third stay has shifted my thoughts. The bedsheets had a stain on them and my room was left open by housekeeping (thankfully nothing was taken, I guess no-one entered but this is a huge concern) – I was told to take this up with management and that I’d be offered compensation for a future stay (although when calling the front desk / eden roc number it says they’re not available and only connects you with off-site staff…) Very disappointed as the previous stays were fantastic."

"My stay at The Gates was very good! The cleaning, the facilities and the location were perfect. They offered a cookie as a welcome that was fantastic! Just two things that didn’t happened as planned was the 35 dollars resort fee per day that I didn’t realize that I was supposed to pay and that the room’s door doesn’t work properly and left me outside of the room for an hour. But, as a compensation, they aloud me to stay an hour later at the check out."
