The room is clean, spacious, bright, and conveniently equipped. The service is excellent, enthusiastic and efficient. Basically, everything you ask for is met. Most importantly, the room rate is affordable. I am very satisfied with my stay! The environment is very good, exactly as advertised, with octagonal houses surrounded by green palm trees, very Southeast Asian! The weather was good every day with a gentle breeze in the morning and evening. The green plants in the manor are well-maintained, and I even saw several squirrels. The room is also decorated with special care, clean, tidy and innovative.

Staying here was a truly memorable experience. The resort is set in a serene location with a picturesque lake where you can fish and even take a boat ride around. The unique touch of being able to bring your catch to the kitchen and have the chef cook it up for dinner was a real highlight. You can also buy fresh seafood from the local market and ask the chef to prepare it however you like for a very reasonable fee. The food, prepared by the owner and chef who hail from Guangdong, was the best I’ve tasted in Semporna. Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing authentic Chinese cuisine at its finest. The resort is about 15 minutes from Semporna town, but they offer a free shuttle service to and from the town, which makes it incredibly convenient for guests. At night, there’s outdoor karaoke under the stars, creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the resort had a homely vibe, with the owner and staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The resort itself is new, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. I felt right at home the entire time. The peaceful surroundings, combined with excellent service and food, made this a perfect getaway. To note that the staff mainly communicates in Mandarin, so knowing a bit of the language would be helpful. I stayed here for a night after a 5 day dive trip and this was the perfect place to unwind and relax. I loved my stay so much that I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in Semporna!

The experience of the Semporna Palapa Water House is amazing! The water house is unique, the room is clean and warm, you can see the sea view when you open the window, the water quality is super clear, the airport pick-up and drop-off, island hopping tour are well arranged, free town pick-up and drop-off, daily meals are delicious, and the seafood is fresh and delicious. It is a great choice for a vacation in Semporna! The boss Xiao Lizi also helped me book a flight ticket urgently, which solved my urgent need. It was really heartwarming!
