It is what it is, the room was clean, the staff friendly and located close to the airport. The hotel is looking its age and the communal areas are a bit tired, but as I say “it is what it is”. It’s a perfect base if you’ve an early flight from Birmingham airport. The receptionist was friendly enough, the staff in the restaurant were also attentive - even though there was a fight. But for the price it’s all acceptable and understandable. Clean bathroom, clean room, clean bed. Fine

An old place, I've been to other Travelodge hotels before but this one was really bad. The room was too small and you had to walk a long way to get to your room.

Hotel is a little bit dated but very handy Location for anyone attending the NEC. Bus brings you right to the door. It seems to be co-joined to a restaurant and although the Hotel doesn't do breakfast, you can get breakfast there for a very reasonable price.

Large car park, but needed to pay £10/24hrs. Convenient to Manchester Aitport. There is no air conditioning at room and the room was quite hot under the heat wave. Breakfast was nice.

The room was very small, just like a motel. Colleagues said that the sound of cars could be heard in the room, and the service was average. Wi-Fi requires payment and there is no hair dryer. But it's the cheaper one nearby.

Absolutely would not stay here again. I have never experienced a more unprofessional manager in all my time. Came to the desk for assistance and was shouted at from I presume the back office asking what I wanted, when she did finally come to the desk the Jamaican manager was inappropriately dressed and seemed very angry I had disturbed her. The rest of the staff I came across were polite and helpful but I can't help but feel sorry for them having a manager like that. The hotel itself was noisy and in desperate need of an upgrade.

This is not a great example of a Travelodge. Clearly packed full of workers judging by the carpark crammed with vans who obviously treat it as a bit of a dosshole. Large carpark but no EV charge points. Trash all around carpark including discarded clothing. Car park itself looks a little like a Ukrainian field and we bottomed the car on one of the small but vicious unmarked speed bumps whilst trying to make sense of the Euro Carparks signs threatening various financial penalties should you park there without cause! Old rats nest of a building with long winding corridors and many turns with small rooms which have been done up best they can, but still not great. Receptionist lovely on check in however. But that was the only human contact we had. Our room stank of fags as previous occupant had clearly been smoking out the window with fag ash and butts all over the outside sill and floor underneath the window. Also red gunge all over the wall next to bed, pretty obvious but missed by the cleaning team. New smart TV in the room which was useless as it’s not connected to the internet so unable to stream anything just terrestrial channels available, not great in 2025. I like a Travelodge generally, this is certainly not the best in their estate and I wouldn’t stay again, especially with lots of options available locally including a much more modern Travelodge just up the road at the airport.

Awful. Not upgraded as the website said. Small, pokey bedroom. No air con, no blinds on windows that look straight onto carpark, had to close curtains making it very hot & stuffy. No privacy. Very noisy with windows open. Old toilet and shower, old wardrobe, table & one chair. Terrible. Paid for WiFi, but only works on two devices. WHAT?!?! Also VERY slow. Quite frankly the worst decision we have made for somewhere to stay.

Clean tidy hotel. Room was small for 4 night stay. Plenty of parking available.? Staff were friendly and checking in was easy. Booked with no issues online.

Turned up to check in and reception was closed. Called the number given and receptionist said they was on there way but left us waiting for another 20mins while more people turned up and asked us what was happening. Not a great start to your stay

Dirty quilt cover on single . Single bed not made up properly. Large hole in bath towel. Hairs on shower curtain and shower tray, toilet did not flush properly
