Spacious hostel. Nice thick blanket and bed(: friendly receptionist make you feel welcome to hostel. It will be better if there is plugs in toilet. A walk to city then to canal walk, walk back to hostel not far.
Good location only a 15 minute walk from BNS station. Single room was perfect for a solo traveller had everything you’d need, en-suite bathroom, toiletries & beverage tray. Good food served downstairs in the pub.
The hotel is amazing
We have encountered a payment issue with their hotel supplier ( hotel beds ) however Trip staff helped to solve the matter promptly .

I arrived past the check-in time, and reception was not around to receive me. Nonetheless, there was a number on the door to call, and I was talked through the process of getting in with the code, and to collect my keys. The gentleman was incredibly patient with me, which was appreciated as it was late, and I was exhausted from a long work day and it was my first time in Birmingham so I got lost finding my way from the train station to the accommodation.
The apartment was incredibly spacious. The living room and kitchen made me feel right at home, and the kitchen was well equipped. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms - I was a single traveller so I didn't need to use all that space at all.
The bed I slept in was marvellously comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, the water pressure was strong, and I really have zero complains about it.
Location wise, there is a mall next door, although by the time I arrived it was closed, and when I left for my work meeting at 7am the next morning it wasn't opened yet. There were also some restaurants by the waterfront around the corner.
I think this is a great accommodation for families or friends travelling together.
The beds were ultra comfortable and I had the best night of sleep I’ve had in weeks. Room was small but unless you’re planning on spending a lot of time in the room, it was perfect. Bathroom was great, very clean and had a rain shower head which I loved. They didn’t really provide any toiletries other than hand wash and body wash, I had to buy my own shampoo and conditioner. There’s also no fridge/microwave, but there was tea and coffee with a kettle provided. I would definitely recommend and I would stay again.

A very central location, with superb breakfast.
We stayed at the heart of Birmingham city, with designated hotel parking lots at the basement (you have to pay extra for parking but £13 overnight is good enough).
Free coffee and hot chocolate at the lobby.
Room is comfortable and of good size. Interestingly, the bathroom door serves its dual role of both the bathroom’s and the toilet’s door.
Breakfast was fantastic with ingredients to make a full English breakfast (minus the black pudding).
Recommend this place if you want to be close to bustling heart of the city center.

The hotel is centrally located in the city centre about 20 mins walk from the New Street railway station. Just next to Chinatown and the famous open and indoor market in Birmingham. The coach station is just 5 mins walk from the hotel.
The kitchen and all the facilities in the room is good. All the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. My microwave was out of order one day and they replaced it in just 5 mins time. Really excellent and will definitely come back again.
This hotel is a bit old, the power outlet is old, but the bathroom is super super, equivalent to another room, breakfast is very good, you can order. The hotel is on the edge of St. Martin's Church, the city center.

Excellent
GGuest UserLocation of the hotel was excellent. Parking is £13 for the night on site. Room was clean. The aircon did not work and it’s was so got my partner almost fainted. I called up the manager who came along with the housekeeping. The housekeeping tried to say oh it’s motion sensored and you got to wait 30 minutes or so to come on. I’m standing there looking at her like say what again?! I explained to her nobody has time to wait around for the air con to come on for that long like tia 1994! Even the manager stood there who agreed it was hot. All our food had gone cold. And eventually 30 mins later they moved us to the room next door and from the word go it was so much cooler and the air con was working.. wait for it.. without anybody being there for the “motion a/c” to work. They didn’t do anything about the food that went cold, the inconvenience. Manager did offer to get us drinks but we don’t drink so pointless. He offered to reimburse £13 for parking again not worth it. Overall it was a poor experience but slightly made up for it when we moved room. This is not really the marriot experience and we made the mistake not to use the usual aloft hotel east side who are always 5/5!

TTomzWorldIn my opinion an all around excellent hotel we’ve stayed at many leonardo hotels around the world, this one is so nice from outside the looks pretty average, but you step in and it looks like you’ve entered a 5 star hotel really nice staff, free water and fruit at reception fridges in room also get water bottles, coffee machine and nerspresso pods can’t complain, very very clean, and they have one of the best hotel gyms I have ever seen, like honestly it’s unreal the atmosphere machines everything.
But the only down side I had and this is my second time the first time was 10:10 no complaints this time all day and all night even at like 1 2 3 4am all I could hear was the noisy as hell trolleys in the hallways that the stuff I assume push drinks and food to rooms they’re so loud I thought it was like wind blasting past the windows but nope it’s trolleys up and down the corridors a all day all night so no peaceful sleep this second time around.
GGuest UserDoes exactly what you need for a one or two night stay. A bit cramped to stay any longer but perfect for an affordable over night when seeing a show or event

GGuest UserHoliday inn as per expectations. Clean, sofa bed made on arrival. Nice large room. Shower pressure good. Breakfast good but no veg sausages. Parking tricky in city centre. Bed a bit on the hard side.
If you need to charge EV car best to park in moor street car park. £16 overnight and 35p/kw. Walk through bull ring and grand central/new street station to get to the hotel.

MMike LutzA very pleasant stay in a clean room with decent amenities. The bed was comfy and I didn’t hear noise from other guests, it was good to have blackout blinds too. The location was perfect for my conference and walking distance to the city centre (about 15 mins). The breakfast is decent and there are snacks and drinks available as well.

GGuest Userthe room is good enough for 3 persons, though the sofa beds are actually smaller than the photos. well equipped with 2 head cooking hobs, small fridge, dish washer, microwave with grill function and sufficient utensils, and also instant coffee were provided.
the water pressure of the shower is super good and water is hot enough but the toilet is a bit small, you have to hide just next to the toilet bowl then you have enough space to open the door.
The down side is the service of the reception & housekeeping team. After we got the room cards, we couldn't access to the room and needed to go down to ask the receptionist to fix the cards and come back to open the room. After entered the room, we found that the water in toilet sink didn't go, we asked the housekeeping staff who was just working at the next room to have a look at it but who said we needed to go to the receptionist (as there's no inter-room telephone, we have to go down again). Then the receptionist arranged another room which was downstairs for us.
We booked for 2 nights, when we came back to the hotel the next evening, the room cards didn't work, again. The receptionist claimed that it might be due to the cards being put together with the mobile phone that might damage the cards. However, we were sure the cards weren't put together with the phones!
It would be perfect if a small box of tissue could be provided.

SSfrixelReally unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously.
Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it.
Very very very unsatisfied.
GGuest UserHotel is not in a bad location for trips out…
But the hotel needs a lot of improvements! The breakfast buffet you are left waiting for them to replenish food items , you have to keep asking staff where are the cups for tea as none replaced there was queues because of the location of the toaster, be careful if you ask for water to be replaced in room as I was charged but then got a refund after complaining..the executive room was good but I know the standard rooms are not great. The staff were good but there needs better organisation. The pool area dated and no set time they seem to pick and choose open close times. We had quite a few issues not all mentioned here which we told reception about we was not happy and noticed other customers complaining.. we would not stay again and certainly not 4 star 3 at most .. can’t comment on spa treatments as did not use but looking at the spa I’m sure there are better ones around. Golf course 9 hole in good condition but outside hotel area need tidying up bit scruffy.
JJSTWComfort Inn Location is great, just next to Birmingham New Street train station and within 3 mins walking distance to Birmingham China town, so plenty of restaurants and cafe surround this hotel.
The only downside is the shower area, the curtain was short and water spilling everywhere when take shower.
Overall I would rate 4.0 for Comfort Inn due to excellent location and reasonable price

NNSEJOKERBetter than expected from reading reviews did the job for a one night stay, room was decent size, bathroom was immaculate but towels were dirty in circle spots and no milk for the tea and coffee and TV was in an awkward position on the side wall but overall an ok stay would do again if needed
