I have stayed at this location a number of times in recent months but upon my arrival for a 2 night stay today--April 25, 2021--with a prebooked, prepaid and non-refundable booking, I was told by the person at the desk that they charge local area residents a $200 CASH deposit in order for them to stay. I'd have had no issue with them putting a $200 refundable deposit on my credit card but cash was requested. Now, I am not a bad customer by any means. I am clean, quiet, and peaceable and my room is left clean after every visit. I often utilize local hotels as a quiet workspace but I won't be back to this location. I'm old enough to remember the days when businesses wanted repeat customers and worked to build relationships with them--even asking for the favor of referrals from them. Not only will I not return to this location, I will not be recommending them to my out of town guests. It's sad really but I won't spend my money where I am treated as ”suspect” due to the behavior and trouble of others. I get hotels have issues but it's not like I've not stayed there before and had been treated as a welcome guest.

Perfectly fine if you never want your room serviced. Night manager (from my home state of NY) was incredibly rude about it as well. As if it was my fault that I didn't leave my room for the day until 10am. Weekend manager Debra was very sweet and did make sure my room was cleaned the one day she was there but overall, very displeased with the rest of our stay. Would not stay there again, and unfortunately for them, we will be in the area frequently as our son bought a house nearby. It was really a shame that we were treated so poorly as the hotel itself is nicely decorated and the breakfast was great.

It was nice to be able to check in immediately after showing the reservation copy. There were quite a lot of dishes, and I had to finish all of them.
