Bed and Breakfasts in Blackpool

Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and provided towels, tea,coffee,sugar cups too Great price for what was a nice quiet hotel situated in the south if you prefer quiet nights, we got the tram down to the north part which stopped right outside hotel, Choice of breakfasts from full English to cereals, tea etc,only problem was we got asked what time we would like breakfast when we checked in fir our weekend stay but wasn't given a menu which we didn't know what was available in restaurant until we went down in morningwe did tell them we didn't want the full English the following morning just toast which wasn't mentioned to the chef, but lucky he hadn't started it wen we went down, maybe suggest they do a list on night where we can say what we would like in morning, but overall nice hotel for the price we paid

Room was very small only had 2 side drawers so very little storage for clothing. Room was very small for a family of 4. There was 2 sets of bunk beds one with a double on the bottom. Very wobbly and unstable. Unfortunately the top bunk was broken and had been fixed ( if you can call it that) with a blank of wool onto mettle frame. There was broken metal sticking out of the bed frame and spars were unsafe and moved when my child climbed into it. I ended up putting the mattress on the floor which ment there was no walking space between the beds. Toilet didn't flush properly and had to muck about with it to flush. Shower leaked when the water was turned on. No handle on the window to open or close it properly and when I was able to close it was a fight to push it open again. Hotel advertised breakfast but once speaking to manager was told there was no breakfast available and hotel didn't do any catering. Hotel was very rundown and in a very ruff area. Police were in the street every nite and there was a stabbing right outside the hotel. After speaking to other guests all rooms seemed to be in the same state of disrepair. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

During the nine-night stay, the garbage was picked up every day, the bed and quilt were only made for a few days, the bath towels were not changed every day, even after being told, and the room was not vacuumed or cleaned...!

Great friendly couple running this hotel, booked during a period where a lot of hotels were booked up, usually I go to travlelodges/premierinns/holidayinns but this for the price this was way better and more personable. Granted it is a long old running Hotel, the reviews I see of this place are correct! Nice hot showers, hot chocolate and water bottles were an amazing bonus, just a continental breakfast which was free and all I personally needed to start my day. Right next to a convenience store for those quick forgotten items and even a bar if you wish to have a drink or hang out at the hotel. One thing I'll mention is stairs, might be difficult for anyone with a walking disability. Even the extra little services they offer are nice, like leaving your bags at the reception if your return journey is after check out if you plan to spend the day in Blackpool is a nice touch.
