Very steep hill to get up and down from The hotel to city centre. Parking was frustrating, pretty full and tight spaces costs £15 for 24 hrs

We enjoyed staying at the Lansdown Grove Hotel on a recent short break in Bath. The hotel is around a 15 min walk from the centre of Bath and it was useful having a parking space at the hotel. The staff were helpful and attentive, and the accommodation comfortable and well set out. Thanks!

This is a beautiful Victorian building on the outskirts of Bath. It has been modernised with very careful thought to the original, beautiful architecture, making it a lovely but comfortable place to stay. I love that the bathroom was 'old style' but still had all the modern necessities. On entering, we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, who was delighted to share details of the area and best way to walk into the town. This we did - twice the same day. It is a bit of an uphill march to get back to the hotel, but we did it in about 20 minutes. We had gone to Bath to enjoy the town, see a play at The Royal Theatre and enjoy food and a drink. Being close enough to the town to walk, meant we did not need the car from arrival to departure, so left it in the Car Park at the hotel. The room was comfortable and the breakfast lovely, and they catered for our requirements for gluten free without problem. Overall, if I went back to Bath, I would certainly stay here again.

We stayed at the Lansdown Grove Hotel over New Year’s and had a wonderful time! The hotel has a lovely, homely, and wholesome feel, making it the perfect place to unwind and celebrate. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The location is a bit of a challenge, as the hotel is perched on a steep hill. However, this is easily managed with taxis or buses if you’d prefer to avoid the climb. Overall, a great experience—highly recommend for anyone visiting Bath who appreciates charm and great hospitality. Let me know if you’d like any adjustments!

The staff were helpful friendly and always present. The location and parking were ok but up a steep hill so bus is best. The building is a period building with " charm" nice spacious communal spaces and restaurant. The room: Because i paid £70 per night and only stayed 2 nights i did not complain but if id paid any more or stayed longer i would have been compelled to. The windows did not shut properly and the smell of cooking food and noise from the kitchen ventilation filled the room in the morning and evening, even though i was on the 3rd floor. Walls in my room were not sound proofed & i could hear everything in the room next door. The foor tilted so much that even sitting on the toilet you leaned, not good If you are unstable on your legs.

Hotel was clean, parking wasn’t an issue it’s £10 a night. Room size was not bad but changes between rooms. The first room was on the otherside of the hotel on the third floor. It’s about a few minutes walk from the entrance. That room had a good sized bathroom and shower. I asked the change room as it was far and the lift wasn’t working after the first night. The front desk was helpful changed it. The new room was very near the entrance on the first floor. Also was smaller and the shower and bathroom was smaller. The shower didn’t drain the water straight away while showering so the water would build up. Not great when all you see out the window is scaffolding as there is works being done to the building.

Lovely old fashioned hotel, it was a bit of a trek from the lift to our room at the top but worth it for the view from the window. Breakfast was very good and beautifully presented. The staff were very polite and completely unobtrusive. Will definitely stay there again.

The room is huge! The ceiling is super high! The decoration is relatively simple but it is still quite interesting and unique. It is very inconvenient to get to the hotel. Even if you take the bus, it takes 5 minutes to get there. If you drag a suitcase, this distance is enough to make you tired like running 2 kilometers. The reception staff is not very enthusiastic.

The hotel building is a hundred years old and looks a bit old. The arranged room has a floor height of more than 4 meters, which is very high. There is a beautiful garden outside the restaurant, and the sun can shine into the restaurant during breakfast, which makes the dining experience very good.

I was surprised to have booked an authentic British-style hotel with a history of more than 200 years. Clean, tidy, bright and elegant, the quilt is warm and the heating is sufficient. I ordered breakfast included. Breakfast is very formally ordered from the menu. It is worth more than 20 pounds and is very delicious. I think the price/performance ratio is high. The hotel is very close to the Royal Crescent, but there is a long slope. It is a bit difficult to carry suitcases with you. It is good if you have a car.
