Chiang Rai Hotels with Bars

I stayed here a few times before and love it here. I am happy to see that they can make it looks as good as what I have in my memories, after the big floods. The river may not be the most beautiful river but the landscapes of the hotel gave a very good complement to it. Breakfast was very good, as always.

The hotel was really nice and clean. The room was really nice. The staff was also friendly and helpful. They have a bike that you can borrow to ride around the area.

I recently stayed at hotel and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the friendly and attentive staff. Check-in was quick and efficient

Excellent location, quiet and yet a short walk from everything: bars, restaurants and massage shops surround the hotel and the night market, Saturday market, clock tower and bus station are all very near. The breakfast buffet was decent for a hotel in this price range. The hotel itself is like stepping back in time. It would have been very classy 35 years ago, but now the elegance has aged. The control panel next to the bed no longer turns on music and you have to work out what the other controls do. (e.g. the switch marked ”TV” operates the bedside light.) Rooms are large with a decent bathroom with a proper bath. I stayed there twice, in a Superior room (the lowest level) and then a Deluxe. While the Deluxe had a few tiny improvements in fittings, the main advantage was having a decent number of power points. The Superior had no spare power points whatsoever in the bedroom, just one in the bathroom. Fortunately, the maid was able to give me a power board. (She didn't know much English, so I showed her a picture of one on my phone and she raced off and got one.) Then I was able to plug in everything via the socket the TV uses. The pool is strange, cold and stark, surrounded by concrete walls and situated on the ground floor. It's not even obvious how to get to it! There's one entrance through the restaurant and another from the second floor down a big flight of stairs. The only real negative is the wifi. It's atrocious and extremely weird. I had multiple devices connect to the same access point, yet get directed by DHCP to different routers! My phone always connected to one that worked (slowly), but my other devices would mostly get connected to one that didn't do anything. Of course, the front desk staff had no clue what was going on. Broadband on your phone in Thailand is cheap (150 baht/month for AIS 4G) so it's not the big deal it once would have been.

I stayed at The Riverie by Katathani for a night and I was very impressed by the hotel. The location is great, right by the Kok River and with a stunning view of the mountains. The hotel is beautifully decorated with Lanna style and golden motifs. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. I especially loved the balcony where I could enjoy the river view and the fresh air. The breakfast was amazing, with a variety of dishes and a different Northern Thai food every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they always greeted me with a smile. The hotel also has a large pool, a fitness center, and three restaurants to choose from. I highly recommend The Peak, a romantic rooftop restaurant with a 180-degree view of Chiang Rai. The food and wine were delicious and the service was excellent. The Riverie by Katathani is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Chiang Rai. I would definitely come back again.

This was an awesome sm hotel! Best out of my 2 weeks in Thailand and Prapapan (guessing the owner) was so helpful! It is quite (a few roosters in am :)), super clean, accurate pictures and a great deal! I stayed 2 nights, but would have loved to have been here the whole time and not in Bangkok! Prapapan also arranged a taxi for a early flight and they arrived on time, yay! This is best hotel I've ever stayed & I love the quite neighborhood, (about 1.5 mi from town/touristy center) . Thank you, Prapapan!

Останавливались в отеле семьей (3 чел) снимали номер с верандой и террасой (#1) в номере очень вкусно пахло чистотой и свежестью. Номер состоит из двух комнат, 1- это спальня с большой кроватью, 2-это веранда с стеклянным остеклением и 2-мя диванами, ребенок спал на диване, (дополнительно выдали постельное белье). На веранде приятно сидеть вечером , очень атмосферно выходить не хотелось. Спалось отлично , матрас хороший, а вот подушки не удобные. Завтрак стандартный (яйцо, сосиска или ветчина, салат и вкусный кофе с круассаном). До Белого Храма 10 км. В целом все понравилось , при посещении Чанграй остановимся именно здесь. Спасибо за сервис и красивые воспоминания )

My family (8 people) and I stayed at the resort for 2 days. This was our first time in Chiang Rai and a warm welcome at the front desk upon arrival awaited us. The ambiance was very nice. The staff were friendly and were ever ready to attend to the guests. The rooms were very clean and the accommodations were comfortable and we can see large green with a beautiful view. I appreciate the hospitality of the staff and we look forward to revisiting the resort in the future.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and newly decorated. However, there was no hot water for shower on the 1st night, it got fixed on the 2nd day. The bathroom was smelly especially from the basin and toilet. There is no shower gel provided but only soap, you may need to prepare for yourself. Wifi for the room is only for 1 device.

Excellent hotel, with amazing staff in great location, what’s more to be said, this the second time I’ve stayed here and although, nothing has really changed, because they are now busier, they have taken more staff on and they are all wonderful, all try there hardest to help and take care, my room 122, not the best, near the road and above restaurant, it was spotless and well maintained, the staff arranged a tour for us of our choice of sites to visit and for 3 of us it was good value. The hotel location is excellent near the clock tower and night market and some good places to eat nearby.
