As other online reviews mentioned, don't expect much from the service here.
1. Usually, hotels have a butler escort you to your room and explain things, or at least wait at the door. On our check-in day, we arrived at our room to find the door open. A staff member in plain clothes suddenly emerged from the room, startling us. But that's a minor detail.
2. The public hot spring (gongtang) operating hours are 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. However, when we went at 9:30 PM, after showering, ready to soak, we were told the 'golden' spring (jintang) was already being cleaned and we couldn't use it. Why couldn't anyone warn us when we entered or while we were showering? They started cleaning a full hour before closing, and there were 3-4 other guests in the women's bath at the time; everyone just looked at each other in disbelief.
3. On Tuesday, before checking out, I wanted to have one last soak, so I woke up early. But when I entered the women's changing room, all the lights were off (the locker access card still worked, so the access control wasn't off, and there were no 'closed' signs at the entrance). I had to call the front desk myself to find out it was closed on Tuesdays. No one mentioned this to us during check-in or at any other time, and it wasn't in the check-in guide. So, we woke up early for nothing. The front desk said it was mentioned on Ctrip (it was, but in tiny font about seven or eight pages down).
There were also no compensation measures. When we checked out, there were even other guests who had driven over specifically for the hot springs, only to be told it was closed that day. They also made a wasted trip, so the unclear signage is definitely not an isolated incident.
Other than that, the value for money is quite good, and the private hot spring (sitang) fees are reasonable, though the private springs only offer the 'silver' spring (yintang).

This is the 215th hotel we've visited with our child. Jinmao Yinyi Rose Manor, surrounded by thousands of acres of rose gardens, perfectly blends French manor romance with Jiangnan's reclusive aesthetics. It offers a complete range of facilities: an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, spa, mahjong/card room, and KTV. It's also suitable for children, with an independent kids' playground, an outdoor petting zoo, and activities like floral DIY and traditional fan making. If you're lucky, you might even catch a hot air balloon experience, and the lawn is perfect for picnics and strolls.
The staff are all well-trained and their service level could be compared to a five-star hotel, haha. My only suggestions are that the rooms lack smart toilets and coffee machines. Considering its positioning and the fact that it opened last year, these could be good areas for improvement, haha.

Guest UserI didn't want to go too far because of traffic jams during the holidays, so I chose to come to Taicang. There was a road under construction nearby, so I didn't have high expectations and just wanted to find a place to daze and bask in the sun.
The result was full of surprises, and I was really moved by this warm place.
Facilities: very new, the bed was very comfortable to sleep on;
Hygiene: clean and refreshing, dry and wet separation;
Environment: It not only retains the original ecology of the countryside, but also is full of literary and artistic atmosphere;
Service: Every staff member I met will greet me enthusiastically, and will take the initiative to ask if I want to join the activities together, which is very warm.
The most surprising thing is the evening activity, a very healing bonfire party, someone sang folk songs, I was embarrassed to join at first, the staff took the initiative to pull me over to sit, and also gave me a cup of sweet rice wine soup, and the sister next to me played the drums, I really like this atmosphere.
I booked a room for May Day again, and I came again

Maritim Garden Hotel is a top choice for business travelers. Located in the city center, it boasts a quiet surrounding environment, an impressive lobby, and efficient and professional check-in service from Sabrina at the front desk. The room I stayed in was bright and clean, with a comfortable mattress and complete amenities. The hotel values guest feedback and their recommended tourist attractions were excellent. Overall, a very good experience! 👍

Initially, after booking, I was a bit concerned seeing the mixed reviews on Ctrip, but after checking in, I actually found it to be pretty good.
First of all, the day before arrival, customer service reached out to ask for our license plate number. They also added us on WeChat to send over the address, important instructions, and the necessary pass for Seventy-Two Villages. We arrived in the afternoon, and our room was still being prepared. While we waited, they kindly offered us complimentary soft drinks.
We stayed in a LOFT room, which was perfect for our group of three adults and one child, with the addition of a tatami mat. The room offered a pleasant view of the fields.
The room key was an old-fashioned type; you had to manually lock the door after closing it, otherwise, it could be opened from the outside. You also needed to lock it from the outside when leaving the room. This system felt a bit dated and could definitely be improved.
On the LOFT level, the common area in the lobby featured an automatic mahjong table, which is great for larger groups.
The central air conditioning in the room was quite loud, which I found difficult to get used to, and I barely slept the first night. By the second day, I had adjusted to the noise, but the AC was too cold. Even after adjusting the temperature upwards and changing the fan speed, it didn't make much of a difference.
Upon check-out, they also gave us complimentary bottled water and a frog toy for the child, which was a very thoughtful gesture.
The butler/concierge service is available until 9 PM, so if you need anything, it's best to contact customer service via WeChat earlier in the day.
