First time in Taicang, although I have been to Shanghai many times in recent years. It takes an hour and a half to drive to this riverside village. I arrived late, but the B&B owner kept waiting, contacted me for directions, and helped me with my luggage. The breakfast was also very nutritious and healthy... Maybe the fields are bleak in winter, only some vegetables in the fields of the hardworking grandparents are still green. It's very friendly and lovely to talk to them. There is also a Sanlian Bookstore in the village. It's so comfortable to sit down in the sun, drink a cup of tea and read a book. I like this village and this B&B. I will come again if I have a chance.
