Luganodante definitely like you (us)! Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Room is clean and cosy. Had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant/bistro - flame grill - awesome service! The only regret was staying there for just one night, wish we had stayed longer. Will definitely choose to stay at Luganodante again if we are back. Thank you team! IMPORTANT TIP: please take the funicular - Lugano Città - from the Lugano Stazione to the hotel (just stop outside the hotel, very convenient). If feeling adventurous, proceed to enjoy the walk/hike down to the hotel from the station.

The location of the hotel is a 10-minute walk from the center of Lugano. It is convenient for shopping, but it is too close to the train track and there is noise when passing trains. The room is in the outdoor podium on the first floor of the main building. Open the door to the front yard of the hotel. It feels like the bungalow we used to live in. Maybe the rooms in the building are expensive. Continental breakfast is ok.

If you're a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this place might not be for you. It's right by a busy street, so expect constant traffic noise that can easily disturb sleep. However, the natural surroundings are lovely – the lake is just across the road below, and you'll even spot early morning joggers before sunrise. For light sleepers, keeping the windows closed, running the AC, and having earplugs handy could help.

Thought it was a two-star hotel and it turned out to be a surprise. It’s really ten minutes to walk from the train station, but I took the bus twice when I dragged the big box in and out. The hotel in this state will give me a free bus ticket. There are 2 roads in front of the hotel that can go directly to the train station. The single room is just perfect for one person. A big box can be spread out, the wardrobe is enough, and there are enough TV channels including CNN and BBC. There is a small gym. I asked the front desk for the key. Although it stopped at 8 o'clock in the evening, I asked the front desk to take the initiative to use it. I couldn't find the switch to find someone to help me patiently and enthusiastically.
