location isolated, but good facilities and friendly and helpfull management

I have significant suspicions that cash was stolen from my wallet during my stay at this hotel, as it was the only place I left my belongings unattended. I didn't have my wallet in the safe because I am a frequent traveler and had never experienced anything like this before. This was the most serious and unfortunate incident I have faced. Nobody took responsibility for my loss; $150 was missing from my wallet, and I couldn't locate it. In addition to this major issue, the hotel has three significant problems. Firstly, the location directions on Google Maps/Apple Maps are incorrect, causing taxi drivers to get lost when attempting to reach the hotel. You have to call the hotel to guide the driver. Secondly, from 9 pm onwards, the only staff member available, who acts as a doorman, housekeeper, and more, is always lying down at the reception desk. While he is friendly, he lacks hospitality skills. For instance, one night my mother was very cold, so I asked for a blanket for her, to which the man suggested a towel as a cover. Thirdly, the hotel permits smoking in all common areas, including the restaurant, where people smoke next to diners. My experience at this hotel was extremely unsatisfactory, but the worst part was losing cash from my wallet and the hotel's lack of appropriate response to this serious incident.

The view is very good and the breakfast was great but with limited variety There is a shuttle bus to the center as the hotel location is a bit far from the center

I recently stayed at Mayura Ubud retreat and overall, it was a good experience. I would definitely recommend with this hotel based on my experience. It was wonderfull experiance and Management was really good. If I get chance future for sure I will visit this hotel again

Room was clean and comfortable, quiet at night. Staff cannot do enough for you. Restaurant is quite good and reasonable, theme nights and entertainment free. Breakfast is good, pool is lovely, your guides and taxis easily arranged. Hired a guide for 8 hours, cost about £30 for the day, lovely man, helpful and informative, covered 5 excursions in one day. Beautiful place for a retreat, lovely sound of running water from river below.

Awesome stay in this hotel. Place is really nice with a swimming pool and wellness. Team is really welcoming and warm, very professionnal in terms of service. Around 20minutes from ubud center in a peaceful area. I recommend it ! We had a really great stay there !

Good hotel in Ubud. Everything was good except the pool was very small. Though kids enjoyed. The hotel was 10-15min walk from the main roads. Forex and any marts were 15mins+ walking. It was too dark to venture out at night. There was a laundry adjacent to hotel 1 star less for that.

Cozy friendly small hotel. Enjoyed our stay, not the most comfortable of beds, quite hard in fact. However this did not spoil our overall experience. Food, floating breakfast all very good. Staff are very attentive and we met the owner who was very warm and friendly. Swimming pool is a gem. A taxi is needed to town but you can book on the hotel complimentary shuttle car.

Thank you so much For a wonderful stay, our room was clean and comfortable, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The surroundings were quiet and secluded. Thank you also to our expert chef Kadek widana for our cooking lesson and delicious lunch.

We are a family of 4 with two young h children aged 4 & 2. We are a difficult bunch to accommodate normally, but the Mayura were so welcoming to us and the adjoining family rooms with a king and two twin beds were perfect. We used the hotel driver for a day out and it made the days sightseeing so easy for us as a family - taking us to the monkey forest and waterfalls. Very reasonably priced. We ate most of our meals at the restaurant as it can be hard for us to get off site for dinners and then food was both quality and well priced; we even had meals delivered to our room when our youngest decided it was time to cry in the restaurant and we decided to exit to keep the peace 😂. Thank you for having us and we recommend anyone who wants a quiet relaxing stay, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets.

After checking in to a horrible hotel in Ubud we looked for a better option and this was by far one of the best places to stay!!! Unfortunately it is a long way out from the heart of Ubud but this retreat did not disappoint! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the restaurant serves amazing food. For a quiet get away we will be back!

Superb stay at the mayura Ubud retreat. Very friendly staff. Rooms clean and comfortable we were a family of 4 with 2 rooms and an interconnecting door which worked perfectly. Great price paid for the accommodation. If you want a quieter location this is a good choice.
