Kathmandu Hotels with Balcony

Pros Great location for exploring Themal and provided you are not too high up, you shouldn't hear any road noise as it's set back. I was on the 4th floor and could hear the incessant beeping motorbikes but had moved from the first floor where i heard none (but was directly above the kitchen so could hear banging and chairs scraping from around 6am). 2nd floor is probably a good choice Staff were all excellent Room cleaned daily with 2 large bottles of water provided each day Breakfast was ok - decent variety of fruit, local and western with custom eggs. Coffee was instant though. Air con has heat facility No deposit required on check-in Toiletries provided Cons Some noise depending on your room location - dont stay in 107 or room directly above the kitchen/restaurant No safe for passport, cash etc in room Breakfast area isn't particularly clean i.e. dirty table cloths/mats Poor standard of fixtures/fittings e.g. gaps in windows and doors, curtains dont quite close right, dirty shower curtain, the rooms have seen better days but for the price its still good value. No coffee or milk in room (or 3-in one) No phone charging point near the bed Bathroom mat was old and dirty, no floor towel Tips: take extra passport photo if you intend to get a sim card at the airport, unlimited data one with nepal telecom cost me $10 - signal was mostly ok. Get your currency before you arrive or take enough to convert there, the atm machines are expensive Taxi from airport to Themal should be around 350 rupees working on 50 rupees per km plys 30 rupees start charge. You will be hounded relentlessly by people from the second you leave the plane for tour services etc. It may seem impolite but dont make eye contact, say no thank you and keep walking, otherwise you will spend your entire trip speaking to them. Right now its cold at night, pack accordingly. Be prepared to pay for everything, every temple, every place of historical interest - foreigners are charged around 1000-2000 rupees each time. E.g. all the Durbar squares, main stupas and temples. Don't assume that because Nepal is a developing country it is cheap. It isn't. In fact i found it comparable to some developed countries and not cheaper than say Thailand. A meal would cost me around 1000 rupees. In a smaller more local place you may pay 500. Don't take your new trainers, it's a very dirty, dusty city but exactly what you would expect if you've ever seen it on TV - it's all part of the experience. For exploring all of the main parts of Kathmandu, id say 5 days is a good amount of time. I recommend the everest helicopter tour but on that note i will say that tours are very expensive here, more expensive than even Hong Kong, Thailand, etc!! I ended up walking to the main temples, Chandragiri, Bakhtapur for the more local experience.

When I came to the Hilton Hotel this time, I felt it was okay. After all, it is a newly opened hotel. The overall decoration level is online. However, I feel that the current staff training is not very good. In terms of service level, it may be  It will take some more training, but it's still within an acceptable range. It's a pity that I didn't book a room with a bathtub this time. I hope I can try it next time if I have a chance. Their bathing equipment for Christmas is from Nepal. Speaking of which, I think it is worthy of the title of my star, and it will be a bit higher than the Marriott in Nepal. The types of food for breakfast and dinner are pretty good, and the standards are online. All in all, this time The journey experience is quite good. After all, it is very close to Nepal’s prime commercial area and is one of the core areas of Kathmandu. 

The location is in the downtown area. After entering the gate, you have to walk a long way inside to get there. It is still quite quiet. The room is not very big. The facilities are also average. The shower water is not bad. The service score is not too high, mainly because we booked so far in advance. As a result, when we arrived, they said they couldn't find our order. It took a long time. Although they looked at my order, they still said they would contact me the next day because they were not sure I paid. The other service staff were all good and greeted politely. We booked a long time in advance. We found that the price dropped as we got closer. The breakfast was good.

The hotel was clean and the staffs were really polite and helpful. Food was excellent, definitely recommend to anyone thinking of booking this place. Only downside was some of the facilities were under construction, hence we couldn’t use it.

Originally, I didn't plan to stay this long. It's a three-month trip and I have a lot of trekking planned, so I'm using this place as a hideout because I have a lot of luggage. It's really good value for money and it's right next to Thamel Street and an alley. It's a little bit inside the alley from the road where cars and motorcycles go, but that's really nice. When you enter the hotel, it becomes a quiet space that's not related to the noise of Kathmandu. The staff are all friendly and kind, and they all seem to do their best for the guests. The rooftop terrace is also great for relaxing, and the breakfast is delicious, but the coffee that's served right away is superb. It's not common to find a hotel that serves such delicious coffee for breakfast. And when I'm sitting on the terrace in my room and spending some leisurely time, I feel more comfortable than at home. I'm currently moving to Pokhara, and after finishing my trip to Pokhara, I'll go to Vistara again. I'm lucky to have met Vistara on this trip that's easy to get tired of. I highly recommend it.

I had an exceptional stay at Dusit Princess Hotel in Kathmandu! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel at home right away. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending modern architecture with a touch of traditional Nepalese charm. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with fresh fruit and a kind hand written card. The dining experience was outstanding, with a range of delicious options at the thai restaurant and the rooftop bar. The breakfast buffet was a particular highlight, offering a great selection to start the day. I also had the chance to unwind at the hotel’s spa and fitness center, both of which were top-notch. Really enjoyed the use the sauna and steam room. The location is ideal as well, with easy access to major attractions and shopping areas in Kathmandu. Overall, Dusit Princess exceeded all my expectations. The service, facilities, and atmosphere were all impeccable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Kathmandu!

Good hotel, convenient location away from noisy streets. In general we liked everything. One time we didn't put the shoes, but brought on first demand. A delicious and diverse breakfast.

Place was beautiful, with bathtub and great breakfast selection. The staff were all very friendly. No view from my room (1st floor) but at least I didn’t have to climb the stairs up.

During my 10 days of stay I truly loved the hotel, the staff from reception to house keeping were amazing and above all Kishor from reception and Saroj, how can only forget hom, what great person. I'm very thankful to him for the support he gave me in all my needs, from shopping, site seeing and much much more, I sincerely wish to thank Saroj , your truly a gentleman and I surely will never forgot you. Everything was just perfect! Had I known this hotel earlier, I kist have been stayed longer. The buffet food was exceptional. The service they gave was outstanding. I had a problem with my bath tub and fridge but both were solved quickly. Location is exceptional. In less than a minute, you’ll find numerous souvenir shops and restaurants. You can even walk to Durbar Square and Monkey Temple like what I did! My room with the bathtub and balcony was supra relaxing, the bed was ultra comfy. The garden cafe is a plus. Will definitely book here again. Highly recommended!
