Negombo Hotels with balcony

We had a good stay here and found it very convenient as a transit stop before my flight. The location is close to the airport, which made it a great choice for a short stay. We arrived around 6 pm and left for the airport at 11 pm, and everything worked out smoothly. This is a family house where the upper unit is rented out for guests. The owner was very accommodating and kind throughout our stay. He arranged both pick-up and drop-off at a reasonable price and regularly checked in to make sure we were okay. We also really appreciated his understanding when our toddler accidentally stained the bedsheet. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay, especially for transit travelers.

An Excellent Hotel with a Caring Host! We are very happy with our choice! The mattresses are high-quality, we slept wonderfully after a long trip to Sri-Lanka. The terrace is simply our favorite spot! Special thanks to the host for handling a non-standard situation: we originally booked 2 nights, but after the first night, our plans changed. We wanted to explore further into the island and then return to the same hotel 10 days later. The host was very accommodating: he seamlessly split our booking into two parts (the first night and the later night), which was extremely convenient and cost-effective for us. Moreover, he gave us excellent advice on the travel route around the island. What can be improved: neighbour's dog was a little bit noisy in the evening. We greatly appreciate the flexibility and hospitality! I definitely recommend this place.

Great place to stay. Staff were very good and helpful. The breakfast was good. Room size was spacious and it was great to have a choice of AC or calling fan. Great to having a working smart TB too. Choice of minibar options was perfect and at reasonable cost. Pool area was clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.

The room was clean and tidy, with a balcony perfect for drying clothes. It had both air conditioning and a fan. The only thing was the bathroom was outside the room, but it was spacious and very clean. The host was really welcoming, helped us with our luggage, and even lent us a hairdryer. They kept saying to let them know if we needed anything.

The room is very spacious, in fact one could say too spacious, where you look at the size of the bathroom. It is a shame that some thought was not put into making the bedroom dining area smaller and the bathroom/toilet larger. Some of the plugs for items such as the kettle and bedside lamp were two pin plugs and could not be plugged in. Asked an employee and he provided one adapter to at least plug the kettle in. The place is advertised as an apartment and the facilities support this. There is a sink, two pan electric hot top, fridge, sandwich maker, kettle and a dining table. The AC worked well, the bed was very comfortable and good quality linen and towels were provided. There was a wall mounted TV and an attempt to watch Netflix was made, but it was in Chinese and couldn't work out if it could be changed to English. The Wi Fi was reliable and fast enough not to be an issue. During the night there was a power outage and had to leave the apartment to speak with the onsite employee, to reset the tripped electrical switches. There is a supermarket within a 15 to 20 minute walk away, however being located on a main road, there are plenty of Tuk Tuks that could make it quicker. There is a nearby restaurant that is a separate business and provides plenty of food options, it is on the opposite side and diagonal to the apartment. On the same side as the apartment and a 5min walk, is a business called Barista, where you can get a decent coffee and breakfast. This place was chosen primarily because it was close to the airport and cost approx 800 rupee to get there. All in all would stay again and if the management read this, then the plug situation needs to be sorted, along with the Netflix issue. Lastly I would recommend that perhaps a small hand brush and dust pan were provided.

Disappointed stay to be totally honest. The location is good, right on the beach and 20 mins from the airport. There is a pool and many restaurants around. The street doesn't have much to do, but if you want to stay and relax its a good option. Check in was 2pm even though its stated as 1pm online. The women at the front desk are excellent, very efficient and friendly, however the men are not. I wasn't impressed. Upon check out, nobody came to collect my bags. Food is good from ala carte. The bar manager is amazing. Very good customer service. The bed is comfortable, along with the pillows. Good shower and wifi. Nice balcony. The room has a mosquito problem and no robe or slippers in the room. Some problems exist however. In the hallway there is music and lights on 24/7. This disturbs sleep. Neighbours are noisy (not hotel fault). And people reserve sun loungers in the morning, even though they do not use until hours later. This is a problem. Overall I was a little disappointed with my stay.

A good hotel when after the flight you want to breathe and not start from the place to the career, in the sense of the island) got into the season, the guests were a little, so on a small parking lot the rented tuck-tuck went without problems. The friendly staff with a great drink and switches for the charter, the number almost)) with a view. There is an exit to the sea, although I'm not sure that it is comfortable to swim there but the sunsets are chic ;) The pool was very good by the way. Bear in mind that there is no infrastructure nearby, not wanting to have dinner in the hotel, went to search and searched for enough time. Perhaps it was necessary not to wander around the neighborhood, but to give the local cook a chance, as breakfast was quite simple but delicious

Amazing hotel with a lot of care and thought put into the little details. Feels very unique with the suites having a very architectural type feel, example recsess in the bathroom for light features and shelving etc. the door however had an old rusty handle which would fault, locking you in! Had to leave the door open propped by a bin. The pool is beautiful although not as clean as our previous hotel at Heritance Negombo, a few doors up. The power also cut out 10+ times over an hour period. Maybe the switch between solar to grid needs to be upgraded. The single lift is also very old and tiny. Definitely needs an upgrade. Spa was good, breakfast was fairly standard however fresh pancakes were a treat after 2 weeks of eating stale hard ones at other buffets haha

The hotel is in a great beachfront location with a decent size pool and plenty of restaurants to explore by foot. I ate dinner in-house once which was good and arrived quickly. The room I had booked was fan-only and fine for me. Breakfast was great and staff went out of their way to fulfill my expectations. I received a kettle as I stayed 8 nights and wanted to drink tea on my balcony. The most notable aspect really is the friendliness of the entire team. Everyone is really genuinely pleasant and made me feel at home.

The pool was under renovation from July 11 to 25, so I understood that the significant discount was likely due to that. The room was clean and generally comfortable, but the position of the air conditioner in the bedroom was not ideal — the cold air blew directly onto the bed, which made it very chilly while sleeping. As for the location, the hotel is not directly on the beach but across a road from it. If you want to feel closer to the beach, staying at a beachfront hotel might be a better choice.
