The good part is that the rooms, albeit small, are very well designed, look great, and have new quality fixtures in the living space and bathroom. The not so good part is that there is no sound proofing and insulation leaves to be desired, as there was strong condensation on the inside of the windows. Also, this is not a hotel - rather a furnished residence. So the cleaning quality, even between renters, is not great. There was hair everywhere, including in the towels, when we were there. There is no staff on site, except for one superintendent, so any changes to your booking must be handled through the travel website, where you originally made it. You cannot do anything directly at the front desk, because there is none. Overall, not a bad option, if you are ok with above deficiencies.

It was a nice hotel, close enough to a lot of recreational activities but far away enough to be quiet. Breakfast buffet was good and affordable. Convenience was attached to the building so you have everything you need. ๐

The hotel is good, but there are some unpleasant little things: There is a washing machine, but no clothes dryer (we asked at the reception - they said no);
There is a microwave and a toaster, but no plates, forks, spoons and a knife;
There is a stove, but no saucepan or frying pan.
In principle, there are only 2 cups and that's it.
On the first day, we asked for a second blanket, since my husband and I like to sleep under different ones - the reception refused us. I found this very strange for a hotel of this level.
The light is turned on inconveniently, on the remote control on the wall - at night, while you get there, you hit the table several times. It would be more logical to move the floor lamp closer to the bed.
The reception is, in principle, friendly, they helped figure out where the stop to Seoraksan is.
Cleaning was done every day, but sand was lying around the room

The amount I paid for our three days staying at the hotel paid off.
Its cleanness and amenities were excellent, its location to the nearby restaurant was very convenient. The ocean view was phenomenal. Parking guide was there 24/7 and I liked it very much. The front desk girls were very nice and polite. I strongly recommend this place to anyone. Five stars rated plus

FINAL VERDICT: Family oriented resort that has everything needed for a family vacation. 3 Line summary - The property is located on a scenic coastside hill, offering views of the East Sea, Seorak National Park, and Sokcho city downtown is a 10 minute drive. Resort is constructed to offer panoramic vistas to guests directly from their room window & balcony. - Resort has everything needed for a familiy retreat. They have a large indoor water park(Sokcho Water Park), 5+ restaurants including one that you can do K-BBQ(Natural Soul Kitchen), large and fun kidโs cafe (Lala Kids Adventure), direct access to East Sea coast and the best Korean seafood shops are within uber delivery distance. They even have a mini golf place. - Lotte Resort Sokcho also offers various family oriented programs that I recommend you check out. We chartered a catamaran yatch and cruised the East Sea, went to a local strawberry farm and harvested a couple baskets, tried Lotteโs cookie house making program which are all available through the resort. WHEN: May 2023 WHO: Family of 3, including a 17 month old daughter WHAT ROOM: Character Suite Room We visited the Lotte Resort Sokcho as a family retreat in May with our 17 month old daughter. The Resort was our top choice because it had all the facilities that one would want one visiting a beach coast resort, and at the same time very family friendly as they provided baby amenities such as baby food, bed, moisturizer etc. We stayed at the Character Suite room, which is a spacious room that features a Lotte themed slide, hide&seek spots and childrenโs restroom. Our daughter had so much fun in the room - she rode the slide a gazillion times and played hide and seek with us. My wife liked the fact that the room had a good combination of contemporary designs and playful childrensโ furniture, all with safety in mind. Stay at the Lotte Resort was also memorable as we took advantage of the many facilities. On the first day, we went to the indoor Water Park which offered wave riding, a large lazy river, water slides of all sizes and a jacuzzi for relaxing. We headed to the BBQ restaurant (Natural Soul Kitchen) at dinner to charge up and had some fun cooking lobster, beef, pork and lamb racks. The restaurant also offered many Korean dishes that goes well with the BBQ we had ample choice. After a good rest in our beach view room, we headed up to R.9PUP, a pub on the 9th floor as the name suggests. The pub offers a wide range of Korean local brewery at a scenic view of the coastal beach. It was even better as the pub had a family friendly atmosphere where the young ones are invited to play the dart and chill on the bean bags on the terrace. All in all, this is a great one-stop resort that offers great view, nature, variety of dining options, all at the same time running large scale facilities such as the Sokcho Water Park. I definitely look forward to visiting again and with comfortably recommend to families looking for a good time toget

It's the day I write a review~!!!!! I wanted to meet the manager and say hello, but in March, I had to cancel on the same day at Agoda, but Agoda said it was not allowed due to policy, so I almost lost 150,000 won... I was really, really upset, but fortunately Sokcho I-Park processed a refund, so I was sorry for no reason. Still, I remember feeling good about it~!!!! Then, in April, I went to the big room with my brother's family and had a really delicious breakfast~!! This May, I went on a trip with my boyfriend and had a great time. There is a lot of talk about the elevator problem, but I understand the situation of the hotel as I go to the busy area around Sokcho... I think there is nothing I can do and if I go to Sokcho, I will always use it~!!! I also preached to people in Jeji through Sokcho I-Park~!! I really don't want to brag about this place, but it's very clean for the price, the refrigerator is big, the bed is clean, the view is good, and the biggest advantage is that the bathroom is as good as a Shilla Hotel~!!!! TMI, you must eat breakfast~!!!! I highly recommend the bibimbap ใ ใ !!!!!! Use the red pepper paste seasoning ใ ใ The staff are all very friendly, and sometimes the customers are not abusive... but abusive... It makes me frown... It's an extreme job... ใ ใ I can't believe it. It was long. I have only good memories of the I-Park Suites and Very Berry Suites Hotel~!!!!!!! After summer is over, I will go and visit again in the fall. Be happy and stay healthy haha. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will visit you even when I become a grandma. I'm going^^ Very Berry Hatu Hatu :)

Service, sea view, cleanliness, comfort, food are all good, and the price is worth it.
The hotel itself is a great location.
Ha. But.
Instead, I stayed in a two-room suite, but there were three major flaws:
1. The door chain was installed incorrectly by the hotel, so I had to push and open it with my finger every time I closed and opened the door, which was very dangerous, so I taped it on.
2. My mother was locked out because the bathroom lock was broken, so I opened it from outside.
3. The bathtub in the living room took several hours to fill up with water, and I found out that the drain plug had a gap, which took a long time.
There was no compensation for facility defects or inconveniences, and they just said sorry and that was the end of it.

I made a cheap reservation on a weekday.
All the progress is communicated through KakaoTalk.
I used the navigation and went, but the building was not Urban Stay.
When I went around and came back, it was a hotel with several companies in one building.
Since it was a weekday, there was plenty of parking, so I paid 7,000 won per day and parked my car in the SUV parking lot on the first basement floor.
I had some time left when I checked in at 4 o'clock, so I went to a cafe to see the beach right in front of the hotel and had a cup of coffee.
I entered the password I received via KakaoTalk with 2 minutes left and the door opened.
It was a room with half a city view and half a sea view.
I made a random reservation, but I guess there was plenty of space because it was a weekday.
The size was okay for one person or two people.
The bathroom had a shower without a bathtub.
There was no bidet.
There was a washing machine and dryer, so I put socks and underwear in them and used them.
It dried well, which was nice.
The air conditioner was cool and nice, but I turned it on because it was a ventilation system and it was noisy all night. I found out the cause of the noise in the morning, but it seems better to turn off the ventilator and sleep.
There is a pojangmacha street nearby, so I had a drink and came back.
I woke up in the morning and boiled water on the induction stove provided and had ramen to relieve my hangover.
However, I had to wash the dishes myself, so I cleaned them with the provided dishtowel and sponge and put them back in their original place.
There is a capsule coffee machine, so I made a drink and drank it in the smoking area in front of the hotel.
They do not provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, so I bought them at the convenience store on the first floor.
They provide one pair of slippers.
I checked out around 10 and drove out.
Excellent value for money (I guess because it is a weekday....)
The beach is close, the pojangmacha street is close, and I don't have to meet the staff.....
I think the room is clean enough.

The hotel is in a great location, very convenient to the beach, E-Mart, and the bus station. There is also a bus downstairs that goes directly to Seoraksan. The front desk is also very friendly. The swimming pool on the roof is a little expensive, but the view is great. There is a 711 and a restaurant downstairs. The only downside is that the waiting time for this elevator is too long, especially during peak hours.

GGuest UserIt was a trip to climb Seoraksan Mountain, but I wanted to see the Sokcho sea, so I searched hard and found UH The Flat Sokcho!
I booked a C-type ocean view room, and the ocean view from the living room veranda (2,3) and the ocean view from the bedroom (4) were so satisfying!
The first photo is my personal favorite, Ulsanbawi View, which you can see while waiting for the elevator.
The cleanliness and management of the room are very well done, and the front desk staff are also friendly.
It is the best location for traveling, 20 minutes to Seoraksan Mountain/10 minutes on foot to Sokcho Central Market;)
There is a parking lot on the 3rd or 4th basement floor?, but it is full when you check in after dinner, so parking is almost difficult. You can use the outdoor parking lot of City Hall, which is 5-10 minutes on foot, so there was no inconvenience.
I was worried because there was a review about road noise, but I was outside during the day, and it didn't feel like much noise when I was sleeping.
However, I felt that the soundproofing between rooms was not very good, as I could hear things like chairs being dragged and doors being opened.
Other than that, I had a comfortable stay without any inconveniences, and it is a place I would like to visit again.
๋ฑ๋ฑ๋กํธ๋ฐI made a reservation after seeing the review that it was good to remodel it, but it was nice because it was clean. There was a microwave in front of the elevator on the first floor and a water purifier in front of the elevator on each floor. There are computers and printers in the lobby, breakfast room and cafe next to it. There was no noise between floors, the room was warm and the price was good.
GGuest UserThe Padasori Pension was all that I hoped it would be - quiet, comfortable and with a great sea vibe. The room was spacious for two people and the kitchen facilities enabled us to prepared evening meals if we wished to. It was close to convenience stores and within walking distance to the express bus terminal and Emart. The host, while not speaking English, was obliging and provided for all our needs. A busy lady cleaning all those rooms! The only issue for some people would be the small bath towels (which are quite common in Korea).
SSueIt was my first time staying at an unmanned hotel, and it was more comfortable than I thought (I applied for a toothbrush tool through Kakao and received it right after payment. It was amazing), and above all, the location and accommodation were very clean. In particular, I stayed in a family two-room ocean view accommodation, and I liked that there was a dining table and sofa in the living room. I saw the sun rise in the morning from my accommodation.
Next time I would like to stay longer.
GGuest UserWas really looking forward to my stay at the Kensington Hotel Seorak. But when I pay $263AU / night I have a certain expectation that a 4 star hotel will live up to the hype. The service at the check-in desk and in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel itself exudes 'history' and it was interesting spending time looking at the library, hallways and various displays on offer. The menus were adequate for our stay and we spent 29000KRW on the chicken and beer offer on the first night and the steak and wine (120000KRW) on the second night. Breakfasts were 29000KRW/pp or 10% off if you book at check-in were also value for money.
However several aspects let the hotel down. Hot water was hard to get - I tried for an afternoon shower and again at midnight with no luck.
Larger hotels in Korea tend to have central control over the air conditioning, so if you like a cool room you'll be out of luck by October?? Even having the small window open, and turning of the 'air conditioning, the room was stuffy.
Having found a laundry bag and order form I was told that the hotel no longer offered that service. Disappointing.
The towels were worn / frayed on the edges (they've passed their useabe date) and though the hotel room we were in had a great view the windows were so grubby it was hard to really enjoy the view. While I appreciate COVID has had an impact on the hotel industry generally, I'm pretty certain that the Kensington, with its views and proximity to Seoraksan, faired better than most. While I would stay here again I would like to think that for prime pricing the Kensington could up its game and ensure that such small issues were addressed.
AAnonymous UserThere is no customer service staff, but there are only a lot of parking staff. ใ ใ
I reported that parking is free, but I don't even use valet parking, but I get 5,000 won for parking.
I contacted you by phone and said you had informed me in advance, but can't you find where you wrote it?
And compared to the size of the building, the elevator, the parking lot is very lacking.
But I didn't feel very uncomfortable because I stayed on a weekday without many people.
Because it's a new building, the facilities are clean and clean, but Netflix can't use it because it doesn't respond when it presses.
It was nice to have a convenience store right on the first floor.
I've checked in several times, but the system was strange, so I was a little hesitant, but it was convenient.
The location and view were very good.
When you first step into the tiny apartment, you might think, โOMG, it's THIS smallโcan I actually live here...?โ But then you notice the view directly overlooking the beautiful Sokcho Beach, just a 2-minute walk away. You remember passing several restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores on your way into the buildingโquite convenient. Once you manage to get your suitcases and belongings in place, you'll find the apartment has everything you need: a good bed, a reasonably large bathroom, a small kitchen, and reliable wifi. So, what's the issue? Well, if you don't speak Korean, you'll likely face some challenges. We had to work a bit to understand the wifi code, temperature controls, and stove. However, the administrator responds relatively quickly to texts, so everything gets resolved eventually. In the end, we were really happy staying here with a lovely beach view at a relatively favorable price.
์ต์ตํ์1. Location: 3, 40 minutes walk from the terminal. There is a convenience store on the first floor and a food store nearby.
2. Service: I stayed for 2 nights... I didn't clean it because I didn't talk about it. Go down to the first floor and get a towel and bottled water.
3. Cleanliness: The room is neat. It's a non-smoking room, but it smells like cigarettes.
4. Facilities: Because it is a residence hotel, there is a lot of storage space. The refrigerator is large. There is a washing machine and induction. The facilities were meaningless because it was a short-term stay, but I think it will be highly useful for long-term stays or family guests.
GGuest UserFantastic location for visiting Seoraksan. There is a bus stop just 100m away from the hotel that takes you up to entrance. The owner is very friendly, on our send day he even gave us free entrance tickets for the national park!
Do not expect many food options in this area. There is a cafe and a kbbq restaurant which is owned by the same people as the hotel and a very well stocked 7/11
GGuest UserSome of the rooms seem to have been renovated. It was much cleaner and better than the rooms I saw in the review photos. The staff also kindly guided me. However, it seems that it is not managed in many parts of the room, but if you think about the price, it is enough to go beyond. It's convenient to buy things that are insufficient in the convenience store on the first floor, and the underground amenities seem to be only operated in the evening, but there are not many facilities, but it's just worth using. The resort itself is old, so it is generally aging and lacks service, but some rooms are renovated and good for cost performance.
