"This is a sincere review and suggestion:
On a rainy night in Yibin, we checked into the hotel after 10 PM. Upon entering our room, we discovered the balcony door was open, the air conditioner was off, and the sheets and quilt were extremely damp.
We immediately installed mosquito repellent, turned on the air conditioner, and contacted the front desk to address the damp quilt issue.
The duty manager came over and explained that garden rooms require open balcony doors, saying that guests generally prefer them open... Hmm, on an 11-degree rainy night in Yibin, and they like to leave doors open? (Aren't guests afraid of the humidity and mosquitoes in Sichuan at night?)
I opened the quilt and asked the manager to feel how damp it was. He found unwashed sheets with brown stains...
When asked why there were no hand towels, the duty manager said most guests don't need them, so only bath towels and large hand towels are provided... (Does the hotel's ”most guests” statement truly represent the standard of the hotel's amenities?)
I asked about the free printing service, but was told the printer was out of ink...
We booked the hotel through Ctrip, but no one from the hotel called to inquire about check-in time or other matters...
We did choose this hotel based on the positive reviews on Ctrip... However...
The above are all facts, supported by photos. I hold no malice towards the hotel; I simply hope it will serve as a reference for other guests...
Perhaps many of the reviews are true, and perhaps our experience was an isolated incident, but this is no reason to compromise on service!
Finally, we must commend the hotel's other female shareholder. After learning about the incident that morning, she has been trying to make amends and apologized sincerely. It's true that starting a business as a young person isn't easy! But high-quality and meticulous service is the key to continued success!"
