"A great hotel with excellent service! Shandong hospitality at its best. From the security guards to the front desk, everyone was incredibly polite. They helped with my luggage and guided me to my room. The room itself had a lovely little courtyard, and the main courtyard was also beautiful. It's right by the city wall, so you can catch the gate opening and closing ceremonies in the morning and evening. The room had a smart toilet and a projector, which was a nice touch. I only stayed for one night, but it was a very comfortable experience."

All first-floor rooms feature private courtyards, while all second-floor rooms come with viewing balconies, and some guest rooms offer direct views of the Confucius Temple. Built in a traditional courtyard architectural style, the hotel incorporates rich cultural elements including multiple water features, an openwork ginkgo tree design in the lobby, and themed relief sculptures. The hotel houses JW Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant serving buffet with local Qufu specialties; Zouyuan Confucius Mansion Cuisine Restaurant, offering authentic traditional Confucius Mansion dishes and Shandong cuisine; Jiamu Hall Teahouse, an independent tea-tasting area; and the Lobby Bar, providing delicate Chinese-style afternoon tea. It is equipped with comprehensive leisure and recreational facilities, including a constant-temperature indoor swimming pool with a domed natural skylight, aerobic fitness facilities, as well as cultural experiences such as the traditional Chinese First Writing Ceremony for children, Six Arts parent-child activities, and stone-milled tofu making. An ideal choice for both business travelers and leisure tourists alike.

"The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to the Confucius Temple and Mansion. The ambiance is wonderful, with ancient-style Chinese architecture throughout. Both the rooms and public areas are very well-designed. The courtyard room has a large private courtyard, perfect for relaxing. The hotel service is outstanding. They contacted us a day in advance and even prepared children's toiletries and a step stool. Any issues we had were immediately addressed. On our last day, they even allowed us a late check-out because our child was asleep – so thoughtful! We ordered a few signature dishes at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, and the taste was great. Although it's a bit pricey, there's really nothing else to fault. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel."

This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Our two-night stay at the Shangri-La Qufu truly showed us that a great hotel is a captivating part of the journey itself. The warmth began the moment we arrived at Qufu East Station with the pick-up service. I had casually inquired about transportation when booking, and to my surprise, the hotel had already made all the arrangements. This thoughtful gesture instantly melted away our travel fatigue. The hotel's location is conveniently close to several attractions, and they offer dedicated shuttle services to these spots, which is particularly great for seniors and families with children. The check-in experience was full of pleasant surprises. The front desk upgraded our room, and as I opened the door, my eyes lit up: the spacious room directly faced the ancient city's central axis, with a picturesque view of flying eaves, dark tiles, and lush ancient cypresses outside the window. At dawn and dusk, you can even watch the changing light and shadows on the buildings in the distance. The hotel's decor is cozy and elegant, and the cleanliness details are impeccable: the bedding was pristine and crisp, the bathroom sparkled without a blemish, and even the remote control was neatly encased in a plastic bag. The service is truly this hotel's most impressive calling card; everyone wears a genuine smile, perfectly embodying the Confucian virtues of 'gentleness, kindness, courtesy, frugality, and humility.' In Qufu, understanding Confucius requires a slow walk and quiet observation; at Shangri-La Qufu, everything is just right. If you're planning a trip to Qufu, consider this your home away from home – it's more than just accommodation, it's a place to experience Confucian charm and find peace for your mind and body."

"The best and most beautiful all-season hotel I have ever stayed in is right next to the Confucius Temple. The famous hotel is the hotel-the pool Confucius like the wishing platform, which provides fish feeding and wishing cards. Living in the courtyard suite has a bathtub that is very comfortable, and the room quality and decoration are high. The beautiful front desk clerk was very good, because the child also sent exquisite souvenirs for his birthday, which was very intimate and the child was very happy. Small episode, because there are two three-hole scenic spots all season, because the heavy name almost went wrong, next time I will come to this most beautiful three-hole scenic spot all season (Confucius Temple Store), I wish business is booming and getting better and better"

"I chose Manxinfu Hotel near the Confucius Temple in Qufu. It's right at the entrance of the Confucius Temple, making it the closest hotel to the temple. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have smart voice control. The movie streaming service with members is great. What's reassuring is the drinking water; it's an instant kettle, and the receptionist assured me the water is clean and hygienic. I went to Qufu to pray for blessings this year and will go again next year to fulfill my vow. I'll definitely choose to stay at this hotel again next year."

"The nightlight next to the bed turns on whenever I move, which is very disruptive to sleep. I'd like to contact the hotel to change it to a touch-sensitive setting or to be able to turn it off. I've already informed the housekeeper, who said they'll report it to their supervisor immediately, and they've been very helpful. The hotel's housekeeper service was professional and attentive, and I was very satisfied. From the moment I checked in, housekeeper Zhang Zhihao proactively explained the room amenities and breakfast times, and provided practical restaurant and transportation recommendations based on my itinerary. The entire process was smooth, and the courteous and thoughtful attitude made me feel comfortable and at ease. I was able to take a nap in the hotel midday before continuing my adventures, which was great. Overall, the housekeeper service was efficient and reliable, with thoughtful attention to detail and excellent value for money. Highly recommended."
