"This hotel is perfectly located, just 100 meters from the entrance of Fanjing Mountain. The owner was incredibly helpful, giving us advice that allowed us to enter Fanjing Mountain early, at 7 AM. This meant we completely avoided the crowds during the May Day holiday! We were also able to climb Red Cloud Golden Summit without any reservations or waiting in line – we just went straight to the top. I bought a disposable raincoat from the hotel owner, which was an absolute lifesaver!"

Hotel near Mount Fanjing,Jiangkou
This homestay is located at the foot of Fanjing Mountain, a World Natural Heritage Site and a national 5A-level scenic spot. You can enjoy natural organic vegetables, taste local specialties, make your own food in the kitchen, and drink pure mountain spring water. The surrounding scenic spots include the famous Buddhist sacred site, Fanjing Mountain, one of the top ten summer resorts in China, Zhaisha Dong Village and Yamugou Scenic Area. The hotel enjoys an excellent location and convenient transportation. It offers a variety of room types to meet the needs of different guests. The rooms are fully equipped, clean and comfortable, making it an ideal place for you to get off the tower during your trip.

"Beautiful mountains, beautiful water, and a kind family. The owner even cooked during the Spring Festival – so touching! 🥹 The rooms were clean and tidy, and because it's next to the mountains, the air was incredibly fresh and comfortable. 😌 The food smelled amazing; we didn't even have time to take pictures before our group started eating! Tourists looking for food in the area flocked here. I recommend the spicy fish with fermented bean curd; the noodles for breakfast were also ”fragrant but not spicy” – the owner's secret recipe. After eating, we had plenty of energy to climb Mount Fanjing. The owner, despite being busy, also took time to pick us up and take us to the scenic area – so hospitable! We'll definitely come back to Tongren again."

"I have never been to Guizhou for a trip. After I came, I found that there is a very good homestay in Tongren Fanjing Mountain. I recommend friends to stay. The service is very warm, the price is close to the people, and the room items are also very complete. Hygienic: The manager wakes up early every day to clean up, the whole homestay is clean, spotless, and the room is very clean. This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a review, which just goes to show how thoughtful the owner is! The guesthouse, from its location to its decor, is truly tasteful. The service is incredibly attentive, reflected in all the subtle details. It's not just polite courtesy; they genuinely anticipate your needs. If I ever go with my family again, I'd definitely choose this place. So many friends have already asked me which guesthouse it is just from seeing my WeChat Moments photos – when something's good, I'm happy to recommend it! Wishing the owner a booming business. However, I do have one small suggestion: both my friend and I stayed in separate rooms, and we both felt the only minor drawback was the pillows. They were too soft and not very supportive, which isn't ideal for people with neck issues. Perhaps a batch of slightly firmer pillows could be considered.

Xieshan Jingshe Boutique Guesthouse

Staying at Xieshan Jingshe, nestled at the foot of Fanjing Mountain, felt just like going back to my grandma's house when I was a child. Stepping off the car, crossing a small bridge, and entering the courtyard, there was an immediate sense of familiarity and peace. A babbling stream flowed in front, while silent mountains loomed behind. The courtyard was lush with greenery, exuding the scent of damp earth and the passage of time. Moss slowly spread along the flagstone path, and bamboo shadows swayed gently. Koi fish glided serenely in the pond, and the bell by the entrance chimed softly in the breeze, making you instinctively lighten your steps. This wasn't some contrived 'Chinese style,' but a place truly lived in. Their attentiveness was subtle but profound. Knowing roughly when we'd arrive, they'd already warmed the room, even the comforter was toasty. A wisp of sandalwood incense was slowly burning, and the tea set was neatly arranged, as if awaiting its owner's return. The moment I opened the door, my heart felt at ease. The furnishings inside reflected a restrained and tasteful Chinese aesthetic. Carved wooden window lattices, soaring double-leaf Chinese doors, and soft, warm lighting – each item seemed to have stepped out of an earlier time. The collected artifacts and calligraphies were not flashy, yet each quietly told its own story. For dinner, we decided to stay in rather than venture out, opting for a 'home-cooked meal.' Upon hearing our request, the auntie immediately sprang into action – she went to another part of the property, caught a chicken, and stewed a fresh pot of chicken soup. Then she dug fresh fiddlehead ferns from the vegetable patch, still carrying the aroma of earth. There were also her homemade salted duck eggs, not overly salty, yet oily with just one bite. The firewood slowly burned, the soup in the pot gently simmered, and the aroma of the food gradually filled the air. That scent wasn't the refined fragrance of a restaurant, but the long-missed, comforting taste of home. This isn't just a 'chic' guesthouse; it’s far more touching than many of them. It's like a well-preserved slice of life – quiet, authentic, and full of warmth. This is a place one will remember and want to return to for another short stay.

Amazing! Fascinating! Fanjingshan was the final stop of our memorable 10-day tour of Guizhou Province, and we truly could not have chosen a better place to conclude our journey. We felt genuinely blessed to stay at this lovely guesthouse for three nights. From the very beginning, the owner Mr. Zhang Haotian and his family made us feel completely at home; they were warm, engaging, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are tastefully designed and thoughtfully laid out, perfectly sized for comfort. Our room offered a soothing view of the river, along with a private balcony; an ideal spot to relax with your favourite tea or coffee. The modern touches were impressive too, especially the high-tech sensor toilet, which added a pleasant surprise. The three-storey guesthouse is equipped with an elevator, a thoughtful convenience for guests with heavy luggage or those who may find climbing stairs challenging. Dinner, lovingly cooked by the family, was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that reflected both their hospitality and culinary skill. Every meal felt homely and satisfying. We only wish we had taken more and better photographs of the guesthouse. Without a doubt, this is one place we will return to. As for the enchanting Fanjing Mountain itself, the owner drove us to the scenic area entrance. He even offered to pick us up later, but we chose to walk back instead, enjoying the cool climate. Fanjing Mountain is magical in its own right. The steep cable car ride to the summit, which takes over 20 minutes, was an experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges stretching endlessly around us. At the top stands the age-old Buddhist temple, serene and awe-inspiring, perfectly harmonising with its natural surroundings. We loved the guesthouse, we are very grateful to Mr. Zhang and his family for their kindness, and deeply thankful for the unforgettable experience at Fanjing Mountain. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable journey.

Location: The guesthouse is a 10-minute walk from the scenic area, which is very convenient for transportation. It also has its own parking lot, so guests who drive can park their cars there and walk to the attractions. Facilities: The hotel was recently renovated, so the facilities are quite new, and the bedding is comfortable. There's a bamboo forest outside the window, offering a lovely view. However, the swimming pool is not like what's shown in the promotional video; it's actually very small and shallow, almost unusable for swimming. Service: Having visited several major attractions in Guizhou, I'd say the service at this guesthouse is a bit subpar compared to others. Even after I drove right up to the guesthouse entrance, no one contacted me beforehand to tell me where to park. I had to proactively call the owner after arriving, and only then did they rush out to greet me. We stayed for two nights, and after housekeeping cleaned the room on the second day, there were no bath towels or regular towels. I didn't even know the internal phone number to call, so I had to go downstairs myself to ask for them. Moreover, tea bags were only provided on the first day, not the second. I later found out that the tea bags on the first day were just to let guests sample Guizhou tea, so the hotel could then sell it. Additionally, breakfast needs to be purchased separately at 10 yuan per person. While it's not expensive, the experience was very poor, and the owner wouldn't even offer it for free after communication. Most importantly, the breakfast was truly unappetizing; the noodles and vermicelli were bland, and the side dishes weren't good either. We definitely chose to eat out on the second day.

This is, without a doubt, the best place to stay when climbing Mount Fanjing. As long as you can make it to the Fanjing Mountain parking lot, the owner will take care of everything else for you, including accommodation, meals, parking, tickets, and getting you in with the first group. The guesthouse is located within the scenic area, a two-story wooden building with all rooms on the second floor. The shower water is wonderfully hot and has great pressure. The owner and his wife are fantastic! They provide pick-up and drop-off service between the scenic area parking lot and the guesthouse. We even entered the scenic area with the owner as part of the first group in the morning, and successfully summited Red Cloud Golden Peak with my 80-year-old father.

I was pleasantly surprised on my first trip here. I booked such a wonderful guesthouse right away. The owner was kind and friendly, and even helped me with my luggage. A hidden gem! This resort type of hotel is so rare in the area. We opted for this hotel for the gorgeous courtyard type of layout. The hotel deserves the attention and my lengthy review as the architect/ designer has such an exquisite taste which shows off in the smallest details. The select of burl wood trims with marble patterns, stylish lighting fixtures… Rooms are spacious and full of technology. Bathroom with heat floor and even ironized glass which offers instant privacy with a click of a button. This hotel alone is worth couple nights of stay where one could plan a getaway from the city life and fully immerse themselves in the hotel’s garden trails. This hotel is great for tourists who prioritize monetary value as It’s essentially a five star luxury resort for a fraction of the price. However, for those who enjoy a slower pace and a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy tourisy area it offers more. This hotel had become an integral part of my spiritual retreat escaping city and exploring the FANJING mountain area. Special thanks to the wonderful customers service team and Lin and Liping for their hospitality.

Location, location, location! It is only 200m walk away from the queue entrance of Fanjing Mountain. If you are taking the direct bus from Tongren Station / Tongren Bus Station, you shall alight at the Fanjing Mountain Tourist Information Centre and the homestay is just about 250m away. As we are foreigner and unclear of which direction to walk to, we contacted the boss to pick us up. The boss assisted with our luggage and guided us patiently on the directions. He suggested us to pay Zhaisha Dong Village a visit if time permits. The boss even drove us back and forth to as there isn't Didi service up in the mountain. The room of the homestay is spacious, clean and new. The boss and his father are super nice and enthusiastic. Fanjing Mountain is grand but has lots of bugs and mosquitoes. So do remember to bring along your insect repellent.

The hillside guesthouse felt like a warm welcome home after a long, tiring day at work. Even before arriving, the owner contacted me to remind me to buy tickets, offering plenty of advice and hiking tips, along with transportation information. There was no need to plan anything here; everything was taken care of – food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment. Upon arrival, the housekeeper warmly helped with our luggage, and the owner greeted us enthusiastically, like old friends even though we'd never met before. After check-in, we were immediately offered sparkling water, iced coffee, and welcome fruit. The air conditioning was already on, and the room was clean and hygienic, with a small courtyard for easy access. Breakfast wasn't as lavish as a hotel meal, but it was delicious: minced meat rice noodles, fried eggs, steamed corn bread, steamed corn, and millet cakes – the taste was unlike anything you'd find in a pre-made meal. They even packed up the leftovers for us to take hiking. After breakfast, the owner drove us to the scenic area in his Porsche. The scenic area was only 1 kilometer from the guesthouse, but he insisted on driving us there, saying parking would be inconvenient late at night. He also offered to pick us up on the way back, but we took a taxi – very convenient indeed. What surprised me most when we returned to the guesthouse after our hike was the foot bath tub they had provided. We sat in the pavilion, sipping tea and soaking our feet – it was incredibly relaxing. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends. Goodbye!
