Our stay was absolutely fantastic, and I'd like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Joanna at the front desk! She was incredibly kind and gentle, with an elegant and graceful demeanor. Her politeness and thoughtfulness in handling everything were truly exceptional. We had an urgent need to print some documents during our trip, and Joanna was so enthusiastic and proactive in helping us, efficiently resolving the issue without a hitch. Her warm and friendly service was incredibly refreshing and truly cured our travel fatigue, perfectly showcasing the wonderful hospitality of the people of Athens. She truly is a bright and moving highlight of this city, and she made our Athens trip especially unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!
The place is in a very convenient location. Facilities are a little old. Buffet is very good. I had a trouble with the card to enter to room and the receptionist imply I didn't know how to use it I had to go twice because of that it happen 3 times during my stay of 3 nights. The cards are obsolete if they said that those inactivate when electric devises such cellphones or earphones are near. But breakfast is very good.
I recently stayed at Breeze Boutique Hotel for 15 nights. While the location is convenient and the hotel is generally clean, there were a few issues that negatively impacted my experience.
Upon arrival, I encountered a serious problem with my reservation. I had booked 15 nights through Trip.com and had received a confirmation with a valid reservation number. However, the hotel’s system only showed a 2-night booking. Despite showing my booking confirmation, the front desk did not accept it and told me I had to email Trip.com to resolve the issue myself. After several emails and much back-and-forth communication, Trip.com eventually sent a confirmation that the hotel finally accepted, and the situation was resolved.
Additionally, the rooms are not well soundproofed. Street noise easily comes through the doors and windows, making it difficult to sleep at night, especially for light sleepers.
Another issue was with the elevator. When you were inside and it moved up or down, it made a noise that was quite disturbing.
While I appreciate the staff’s efforts and understand that booking errors can happen, I believe better coordination with booking platforms and improved sound insulation in the rooms—as well as reducing elevator noise—would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Many thanks
Dave Red in Athens is definitely a hotel with character! If you want to stay somewhere not so ordinary, then this is your choice.
The hotel's public spaces and rooms are extremely clean and very tastefully designed with a nod to the building's historical past. The colour palette is in contrasting dark/red tones which gives it unique atmosphere. The main highlight of my room was the super comfy bed and the balcony with a street view. In terms of the size, the room wasn't the biggest but more than enough for a single person.
I would like to especially emphasise the staff of the hotel who were extremely helpful, spoke fluent English and gave valuable recommendations. It felt like they really care about their guests' comfort and want them to have best experience in Athens.
All the amenities were top notch: breakfast, gym (small but functional), iron and ironing board on request, and a little rooftop space with a communal hot tub😍
This hotel really made my solo trip to Greece feel warm and special. Huge thanks to Lot for patiently assisting me, despite my language limitations. I'll definitely be back to Greece, and this will be the only place I stay! It's a shame I didn't get to use the bed, though.
Great location! Had an interior room which is great for those who want quiet and are there for a short time. Had 2 small windows. Which have as little light. Great for sleeping after a long day of travel. The front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating!
The hotel boasts a perfect location. The metro station is just a minute's walk away, or you can enjoy a pleasant 20-30 minute stroll to the Plaka district, where all attractions are then within easy reach. Right outside the metro station, you'll find a shopping center featuring a charming rooftop cafe. It's an ideal spot to unwind with a coffee while enjoying a fantastic view, including the Acropolis in the distance. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Additionally, near the entrance, there's a display with various brochures to help you explore Athens.
Unfortunately, we stayed at this hotel at a different time than we booked! I made the wrong Month, and then wrote to both the hotel and the reservation service, but they didn’t help me, they didn’t return the money, and I paid twice! The hotel itself is average, but considering the price-quality ratio in its range. I don’t want to go back, but the city itself is terribly dirty...☹️
This hotel represents good value for money in Athens. I selected a room with a delightful balcony and interesting street views - there is also tiny park opposite. The desk was fine to complete several hours of work. The air-conditioned worked extremely well. I also appreciated the mini fridge in the room, which many hotels with Athens don't have.
However, the bathroom was little tiny. Its about 10 min walk to Omonia Metro station, which offers a direct line to the port area. There is an excellent supermarket about 10 min walk from the hotel. This area feels more like the real Athens, rather than hotels in tourist zones. This zone has wonderful multicultural feel. In the same street of this hotel, there are excellent hairdressers for $5 Euro a cut and fantastic stores to buy discount clothes and bags. I would certainly recommended this hotel for travellers that appreciate value for money and with great amenities like balcony and fridge.
Near city centre. Walkable from the metro.
An hour from the airport

Tttb deI had a fantastic stay at the Grecotel Hotel in Athens, Greece. The spacious room was a welcome retreat, providing ample comfort during my visit. The staff's exceptional helpfulness left a lasting impression, as they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. The hotel's cleanliness was impeccable, which added to my peace of mind. One of the highlights was the great breakfast they offered; a delicious and diverse spread that set the perfect tone for the day. Overall, my experience at the Grecotel Hotel was excellent, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.
WWoaichihongshuWe booked two rooms and were very satisfied with the room. I would like to know the brand of their mattress and quilt. How come they are so comfortable? Sleeping on the bed after a day of traveling is like sleeping on cotton.
The hygiene is also very good. After all, we are allergic. They replied to me by email that they have very high hygiene standards, which is true. By the way, the water next to the coffee machine is also free. There is just a relatively high environmental tax, but I still like it overall.
JJu-nAlthough some parts were under renovation, the facilities were complete and very clean. The access was also excellent. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, and I was very satisfied.
NNicolaBThe Trendy hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from Omonia square and metro station. The area would raise some concerns though and I would recommend staying there as a solo female traveler.
The hotel itself was well maintained. Rooms were clean and spacious. They provide you with all necessities and even have a Nespresso- coffee machine with new capsules everyday.
The views from the rooms aren’t great but seeing your in Athens and exploring all day it wasn’t a problem.
Breakfast was delicious and well prepared.
Overall, our stay at the Trendy hotel was enjoyable.
JJonesEdwardOur first trip to Europe, so there were things that I imagine are very European. Tiny elevators and key card access to power your room were a first for us. We were only there for one night before leaving on a cruise, but overall I was very happy with our stay. The front desk check in was excellent and the breakfast spread was outstanding. The loud returning guest at 1:30 in the morning were the only irritant, and that was bad guests and not the hotels fault.
AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI booked a single room and it was larger than expected and the bathroom had a bath. I was on the 9th floor. The room had a city view which was unexpected. There was air conditioning, a kettle a fridge and plenty of space for luggage. There was no coffee available only T. So I bought my own. There was a range of shower wash and body cream. The soap was olive oil soap and very nice. The water in the fridge was not complimentary and I had to pay for it when I checked out. I didn’t book breakfast. It was quite noisy at times on Floor 9 with screaming children and young men congregating chatting and being loud. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well in it. The plug sockets were not near the bed. The pool at the top was brilliant but it was very busy. The views were spectacular and the food in the bar was very good. The staff in the bar were very kind. The hotel is very well situated near train stations but walking is much more interesting! There are some great shops and markets in the area and museums are not far away. It takes about 20 mins to walk into the centre if you enjoy your walk. I recommend junk shops on the walk to the Acropolis.
WWang9988The location isn't very good; the neighborhood has a lot of strange people.
The condition of the property really needs improvement. There are toothpaste stains under the remote control.
The welcome is friendly.
GGuest UserLittle bit out of the way and some of the streets around it aren’t good. Once past those to Omonia Square you are fine. Room spacious and clean. No complaints with it. Happy I stayed there given the price. I was solo male traveller
HHUIThe location of the hotel is not far from the omonia subway station, and the main attractions in the city can be walked. The size of the room is OK, the bathroom is small and there is no hair dryer. The soundproofing of the room was not good, but I slept very well when I was tired. The best place in the room is a hard bed, comfortable to sleep, not particularly soft. Breakfast is shown in the picture, except for vegetables and fruits. However, there are places around which fruit is sold. But try not to go to the alley at night and walk the avenue. The hotel staff are very welcoming, and the way to ask is very patient to answer, we check out and go to the shopping center, hesitating at the door, how to go at the door, the hotel front desk ran out to give us directions, especially to pay attention to the safety of the bag.
