I had a special and wonderful experience at this hotel. We stayed here for two nights for my birthday. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning and a very friendly and kind hotel staff greeted me in Japanese and let me check in immediately. Moreover, they upgraded our room. On the first night, when I came back from Disney and entered the room, there was a paper bag and a letter. Inside was a Disney gift from the hotel. I was really moved and very happy. I didn't have time to thank the hotel staff in person, but I really appreciate it. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful experience!

I am very shocked this property is associated with Marriott. Upon in-person check in, I was told by the staff member that my room was ”upgraded” and it was located in a ”quiet” section of the hotel. ”Upgraded” meant my room had a couch, and ”quiet” meant I was facing the freeway. To add insult to injury, there was a pair of earplugs in the bathroom, so the hotel must be aware of the noise issue! I was not aware that the MOTEL is outward facing, meaning that all of guest room doors are exterior. Had I known that as a single female traveler I would have not booked this hotel. The photos on the Marriott website are very deceiving! I can only assume there were security issues because there was a nightly patrol car in the parking lot, which can be construed as either a good or bad thing. This Marriott MOTEL was a huge disappointment as far as cleanliness standards were concerned. The bathroom counters were spotted, the toilet paper holder was spotted as well. There were mold patches on the ceiling around the sprinklers. There were stains on the bed sheets. Some of the lights in the bathroom were broken, and the light for the bath/shower had an old school timer. I called the front desk to voice these concerns, and the young gentleman who took my call said that they were fully booked and changing to another room was not an option. Internet: I have NEVER upgraded to the paid internet in all of my Marriott stays. However, someone took it upon themselves to upgrade my internet, and I was charged $21.70 for upgraded internet. When I contacted hotel staff to make them aware of the issue, I was comped a one-day charge and was told that was all they could do. To say I am disappointed in this stay is an understatement. I have NEVER complained about a hotel stay, let alone a Marriott stay. In the future I will consider other hotel chains as this recent stay was a major letdown.
