The location is not wrong, it is about 10 minutes by bus from the Central Railway Station (there are 2 options) to the nearby bus station, and then about 5 minutes away to reach the hotel. However, the vicinity of the site has not been fully developed, and many of them are under construction.
Absolutely brilliant ! Booked a single room but got a lovely double with a window. Great online check in/out system. So easy to take the 397 bus from and to the airport to a minutes walk away from hotel and very convenient to walk into downtown attractions whilst being nicely away from the hustle and bustle. Front desk staff lovely, let me leave my bags in locked store room after I checked out while I strolled around town before an evening flight. Would thoroughly recommend for an Amsterdam city break.
It's a 10-minute walk from the Van Gogh Museum and the National Museum, and a 5-minute walk from Vondelpark. There is bus 397 at the entrance of the park, which goes directly to the airport. This station is only one stop away from the departure station, and there were few people when I got on the bus. The room is very large. The twin room has 0.9-meter beds put together and two quilts. The breakfast is average. Turn right and cross the bridge, it seems to be Leidseplein, with many restaurants. Turn left at the exit of the hotel, turn left at the intersection, and you will see a medium-sized supermarket called ah, where you can buy cold dishes, meat, and vegetables. There is also a machine for recycling plastic bottles.

Always a pleasure staying at Marriott here in Amsterdam. This is my 10th. Is it in half as many years and it still upholds to the ethos to today. Excellent hotel with large spacious and tidy rooms. The staff are great and always happy and smiling and eager to assist to make stay memorable. Highly recommended for families and kids and friends as well as business trips. A +++++++
All are good. The Halloween decorations are also very nice. The breakfast is European style. It is also good. The hotel check-out time is also quite flexible. The old fourth elevator is quite good.
The decoration is very unique, and so is the layout of the hotel (the numbering of rooms is strange). The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms spacious. The breakfast was a bit basic but plentiful. The staff were very friendly and full of information. The location was ideal for most things in the city centre, and even a bike ride out of town.
Booked a double room, but got a triple room instead. A nice, clean and spacious room. The water pressure in the shower was very good and the water was hot. Room temperature was perfect even though it was cold outside. A short walk from Leidscheplein and the tram stations (you can use your contactless credit card on the tram to check-in, don't forget to check out) connecting you to the good spots. Good value for the price, would certainly consider this hotel again on my next visit to Amsterdam.
My only concern was when I checked in they asked me for my email-address. They're allowed to ask of course, but when I told them I don't give out my email they said it was hotel policy and it was required for check in. But he was willing to make an exception for me immediately, so I didn't have to argue about it.
Everything was great! Check in was super easy and fast, room was very clean and they provided soap as well. Worth the value for money and will definitely be back.
This hotel is decent and has everything you need. It’s a bit far from the centre and feels a bit isolated, but just take the time to explore some of the cafes downstairs and around the nearby streets. It’s also easy to get into the city by tram so in the end it doesn’t feel that far away.
Staff at reception are friendly and helpful on check-in and check-out and answered all my questions giving advice about how to get around Amsterdam and the Netherlands in general.
The location is fantastic! 2min walk from tram 1 station and 5min walk from tram 2/12 station. Extremely accessible.
The room is clean and with basic equipment — shampoo, kettle, hair dryer.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out process is smooth and swift.
Affordable price with quality beyond expectations. Love it!

GGuest UserThe room is very comfortable and large enough. It has coffee, tea, kettle, etc. All in all, a very good stay experience.
MMengxiangshihuanyoushijiedeyongganxiaozhaoThe room is simply furnished and well-equipped. The wifi password is behind the speaker. The only downside is that the shower head does not work well, the water is sometimes hot and sometimes cold, the pillow is uncomfortable (more like a cushion), and I don't understand how to use the washing machine. Overall, it's OK. The transportation nearby is quite convenient, with bus and tram stations...
GGuest UserIncredible building And room with great space And feel. I wasnt very well one the last day of my stay And the Male receptionist was a legend giving me tea And advice how to get better. Felt like a friend at the desk, was a great vibe.
Only downside is the Wifi would come And go as they only have 1000 IP address's so sometimes it drops out after a couple hours.
Would defo stay there again, great value for money when i went
GGuest UserFirst hostel I’ve ever felt unsafe at. There were a ton of creepy men. The staff was rude. The two guys who work at the front desk just drink and smoke all night. When asking for anything they act as though you’re inconveniencing them. I was called a N word by an elderly white guest. It appears maybe they are also a health care facility because everyday there was some elderly person with dementia staying there. It was strange . Rooms were insufferably hot. Two days I couldn’t sleep there had to stay with a friend nearby. It’s far from the city center so be prepared to take the train 30-40 mins everywhere . The art is nice
GGuest UserGood location, close to the attractions, the surrounding attractions are concentrated. The waiter was polite and caring, and some birds accidentally flew over the sealed glass roof, very worried about trying to rescue them. The room was clean and tidy and very distinctive.
TTrenti MatteoThe location is good, easy to reach by taxi or tram, walking distance to Jordaan but the neighbourhood is not touristic, it’s a local neighbourhood with nice bars and restaurants, and charming canals to the west. Walking distance to the food hallen and vondelpark. The room was on the ground floor facing an inner garden, very quiet
GGuest UserLocated in the western part of the old city, the hotel has historical traces of the building, the service staff is enthusiastic, the location is convenient, and the surrounding area is full of museums. It is suitable for friends who like it. It is worth recommending. The disadvantage is that the room is not soundproof and the room is small.
GGuest UserThe location is very good as it is close to everywhere. The employees are helpful. The only problem is the noise outside. It is ideal for a one-night stay. I recommend it.
