Review of Our Stay at a Hotel in Amsterdam We recently stayed at a hotel in Amsterdam and had a mix of positive and negative experiences. First, let's start with the positives: What We Liked: The premises were quite nice. There's a bar downstairs, which is a great spot to unwind. Additionally, there are a few supermarkets and a traditional Dutch bakery right across the street, which made grabbing snacks and breakfast super convenient. The location is fantastic—just an 8-minute walk to the train station and a 4-minute walk to the bus and tram stops, making it easy to get around the city. The room was just as shown in the pictures. The mattress was comfortable, and there was ample space to organize our belongings during our stay. The receptionists were really kind and welcoming, which made our check-in and stay more pleasant. We also enjoyed the style of the hotel, especially the lovely lobby with two pianos, a comfortable sofa, and some books and local information to relax and read. What We Didn't Like: While we had read other reviews about noise issues and poor sound isolation, we thought we'd be okay with it, considering our home is located in a town center near nightclubs. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. The noise wasn't from people talking but from doors slamming. From 11 pm until 3 am, there was a constant door slamming that made the floor and walls in our room vibrate every two to three minutes. It felt like we were next to a staff room or had a very active neighbor. To be able to sleep, we had to watch a movie until the slamming finally stopped. This constant noise didn't allow us to rest properly, and we woke up later than we wanted the next day. The slamming continued on the following day, so we decided to stay out as late as possible to avoid it. Fortunately, around 2 am, the noise decreased, and we managed to sleep. Additionally, there was a funny smell in the corridors and the toilet. I found it unpleasant, but my husband wasn't bothered by it. If you are sensitive to smells, this might be something to consider. However, if you're not particularly sensitive, like my husband, it might not be an issue. Conclusion: Overall, while the hotel's location, amenities, and staff were great, the noise from door slamming and the smell in the corridors were significant drawbacks for us. If these issues could be addressed, it would make for a much more pleasant stay.

Nice hotel, good breakfast as well. A bit out of the centre but near a train station (10min walk max) which can take you straight to Amsterdam Central. Staff were nice, hotel room was clean and quiet as rooms were away from the busy lobby. Really can’t complain myself and my girlfriend stayed here and we enjoyed!

It wasn’t straightforward finding the entrance to the hotel and once I got in the receptionist constantly was repeating, he was relatively new and doesn’t know if the room I booked had a balcony. Soon after was given a room key but no instructions about everything else, so after several wrong turns I found the room, an hour into my stay I made contact with the reception requesting assistance as I was in the wrong room type and had difficulties accessing the Wi-Fi and an hour later had a member of stuff appearing outside the room door and he walked in unlocked the other section of the room and he mentioned he was sorry, wasn’t sure why it was locked and helped out with the Wi-Fi and went away. In the morning I requested a late checkout, but the housekeeping wasn’t aware opened the door several times. Overall I’m sure I’ll not stay again, sorry guys.

Super nice amenities for This one! Went to a party for the Amsterdam dance event , they have a cafeteria but food is not that good , they have studios to record songs which is pretty sick, it’s a very music oriented hotel!!!

I went to a party of the ADE at the Qfactory so it was very convenient!

Would not come back. No air in the room. Definitely not a 4 star hotel..

There is no hair dryer... but everything was perfect apart from that

The room was fine, it was a bit cold inside, the mattress was very comfortable. The coffee cups were very dirty.

I rented a room with a balcony but it was a shared terrace, on the terrace not enough chairs for all the rooms.. the room was poorly cleaned before we arrived not to mention the noise the walls were very thin

Great hotel with the basic amenities… bed, shower, sink and TV However, too expensive for what you get..
