The latest creation by the Atelier des Lumières takes you back to the early days of Naïve art in France. Spontaneous, dreamlike, and sometimes childlike, this inventive approach to painting is embodied in the works of Henri Rousseau.

The Musée Delacroix presents a new display to explore the stages of creation and reflect upon the status of a painting, whether it is an original, a copy or a reproduction.

This new exhibition offers visitors a powerful journey through art and history, showcasing how artists and intellectuals in exile during World War II used their creativity to champion a ‘certain French spirit’ and the values of freedom.

Thanks to the cooperation of many important institutions, the exhibition "Tous Léger!" is on display at the Luxembourg Museum. The exhibition is curated based on the museum's existing collection, and the works of modern art pioneer Fernand Léger (1881-1955) are in dialogue with the works of European and American avant-garde artists from the 1960s to the present. The title of the exhibition has multiple meanings: on the one hand, it directly refers to Fernand Léger's name Léger, emphasizing his central position in the exhibition, while also implying the approachability and integration of art advocated by Léger and his new realism movement into daily life, suggesting a "light (Léger)" and unpretentious attitude.

The exhibition "Lucas Arruda. Qu’importe le paysage" at the Musée d’Orsay is the first monographic exhibition at a French museum to be devoted to this emblematic figure on Brazil’s contemporary art scene. From 9 April to 31 August 2025, the Musée Marmottan Monet presents the exhibition ‘Eugène Boudin, the father of Impressionism : a private collection’. Collector Yann Guyonwarc’h has assembled a collection of works by Eugène Boudin (1824 – 1898) that is unrivalled in any museum in the world. Every facet of the artist’s career is represented, from his first paintings in Le Havre to his final trip to Venice; from private sketches to paintings for the Salon (including one of the two largest beach scenes ever painted by Boudin). The works in this prestigious collection are matched with the holdings of the Musée Marmottan Monet, to highlight the dialogue between Boudin and his main pupil, Claude Monet. Thanks to the participation of the Durand-Ruel archives, the relationship between the two artists and their main dealer is also explored.

Since 2019, the museum has invited a contemporary artist to come and dialogue with its collection. For the ninth edition of these “Unexpected Dialogues.”, it has chosen to invite Françoise Pétrovitch. A major artist on the French and international art scene. In this “Unexpected Dialogue”, presented from April 9 to September 14, 2025, she has chosen another woman artist, Berthe Morisot, with whom she shares the themes of portraiture, childhood, adolescence and intimacy. Here, the parallel between Morisot’s Roses trémières and Pétrovitch’s Soleils highlights another bridge between the two painters: the very embodied, interior relationship with nature.

Paris Expo Porte de Versailles welcomes the Disney 100: L'Exposition! The Gallery presents the first solo exhibition dedicated to the artist Guillaume Barth, allowing us to grasp the full scale of his sculpture titled Elina, created in 2015 on the vast salt desert of Bolivia, the Salar de Uyuni.

While Khmer art is known around the world for its stone monuments, recent excavations have provided dramatic breakthroughs regarding our knowledge about its significant bronze statues.

The exhibition "Ed Ruscha – Photographs" features a selection of work by the American artist from the 1960s to the 2010s. His work defies easy categorization as Pop Art or Conceptual Art, hence the writer J.G. Ballard once simply described him as having the “coolest gaze in American art.” His imagery is rooted in the West Coast lifestyle and topography: the phenomena of mass culture and the myths of Hollywood and the open road. Inspired by Walker Evans and Robert Frank, he went on a journey taking apparently casual photographs of gas stations along Route 66 between his home-town Oklahoma City and Los Angeles. Prints from this first series, Twentysix Gasoline Stations, 1962, is presented alongside photographic works of mundane architectures in the same factual aesthetics: Apartment Buildings, Swimming Pools, Parking Lots, Products. Rucha’s innovative use of bold typography often seems at odds with painterly backgrounds, reflecting the fact that larger-than-life billboards have become part of the landscape. In a featured set of photogravures with screenprints, Country Cityscapes, 2001, it is the ominous absence of text that commands the foreground. Blank redaction marks are set against majestic mountain views. The corresponding individual titles read like ransom notes. Ruscha has explored the American scenery’s iconic entanglement with the culture of advertisement in his work across genres.

Esther Schipper Gallery presented Martin Boyce's solo exhibition "Unhome" in its Paris space on May 23. This is the artist's second solo exhibition at Sprüth Magers Gallery and his first exhibition in the gallery's Paris space. The exhibition is part of a dual exhibition project during Paris Gallery Weekend, with the artist's other exhibition "Walk with Me" held at Galerie Natalie Seroussi.

Schipper Gallery is pleased to announce Martin Boyce’s exhibition “Walk with Me” at Galerie Natalie Seroussi. The exhibition will be held concurrently with the artist’s solo exhibition “Unhome” at Schipper Gallery. The title “Walk with Me” is taken from David Lynch’s 1992 film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, an iconic film known for its mysterious atmosphere and refusal to be interpreted in a single way. Like Lynch’s work, Martin Boyce’s work incorporates ambiguity and uncertainty, inviting the viewer into a dramatic, disorienting, and emotionally dense dialogue. This also echoes the creative attitude of the Surrealist artists, many of whom are carefully selected by Boyce from the Natalie Seroussi Gallery collection to be presented together with his works.

This exhibition opens like a wound: gaping, silent, irreversible. The figures it summons are neither allegorical nor documentary. They emerge from a void, in the midst of a loss of meaning, as if humanity, caught in a final spasm, were dancing its own extinction. Inspired by the "epidemic dance" that occurred in Strasbourg in 1518, Hang Lu does not cite: he transposes. He transforms this delirious episode into a pictorial gesture, where trance becomes a formal language.
