NH Collection Budapest City Center

The hotel room is large, the kitchen facilities are complete, and there is air conditioning. Two bottles of water were given on the first day, but no water was given on the second day. I think Europe should have tap water. Transportation is also very convenient. I took a taxi from the airport for 32 euros, and the meter was 10,280 forints, but the driver said that my Bank of China credit card and Bank of Communications credit card could not be swiped, so I could only pay in cash according to the euros on the bill printed at the airport. In fact, you can take 100E to the Dohany Street Synagogue station, and then take the bus to the hotel in one stop. I bought a 72-hour transportation package that day. There is a machine at the subway station for 5,500 forints per person, which is very convenient. The subway station M2 blaha lujza is 3 to 4 minutes away. If you go to Vienna by train, you can take the obb train to keleti one stop, or transfer from M2 to M4 to kelenfold railway station to take the RJ train. It costs about 100 RMB to Vienna, which is more cost-effective. It is also very convenient to get to the Parliament. Take the M2 bus for more than 10 minutes to kossuth Lajos Station, take one more stop Batthyany to cross the Danube and you will be opposite the Parliament Building. It is very convenient to see the night view at night. It is very convenient to use Google Map to check other attractions. There is a medium-sized supermarket Lidl 3 to 4 minutes walk from the hotel, which has fruits, yogurt, sausages and everything. In addition, the hotel is 2 to 3 minutes walk from the Anantara Hotel. Their breakfast is known as the most beautiful New York Cafe. It is said that if you stay in NH, you can pay extra to go to the New York Cafe for breakfast. I didn’t ask because I stayed there for one night. In addition, I asked the hotel how to charge for early check-in because I arrived on an early flight. The hotel replied that it would charge an extra night. In fact, I arrived at the hotel at more than 8 o'clock that day. The hotel said that it could charge 40 euros for early check-in. We didn’t feel sleepy at the time, so we directly stored our luggage and went out for a city walk.

Rooms are dated but fine for a short stay. However the housekeeping was awful- 2 days in a row towels were taken but not replaced, the bins weren’t emptied and the room not tidied properly. The breakfast is limited for hot food only scrambled egg streaky bacon and small boiled frankfurters. No choice of eggs or omelette tomatoes mushrooms etc for the price more should be provided. Too many staff at breakfast leaving you feeling watched! The spa area and staff there are lovely. However overall it is not value for money.

Upon checking in, the reception asked if we would prefer: 1) rooms facing the street (thus with river view) but a bit louder because of the traffic OR 2) rooms not facing the street so it will be more quiet We decided to choose the first option and were very glad with our decision because of the breathtaking view. The room was located on the fifth floor and the soundproof was good! It is slightly further from the city centre (tourists area) but the public transport system is amazing and frequent. Free coffee at the lobby and buffet breakfast is also included. Highly recommended because best value for price!

The hotel has a good location, with the M3 metro replacement bus the city center is approximately 20 minutes without changing. The room is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is tidy. Various breakfast with vegetarian options as well. The staff is welcoming and kind, make you feel line your in a good place. I will strongly recommend it and will definitely come back for my next stay in Budapest!
