Excellent value for money. The staff were great, and the food prices were fair. They offer a very affordable shuttle service that connects to nearby supermarkets and restaurants. Highly recommended for short stays.

DoubleTree Cape Town - Upper Eastside was a wonderful experience! The hotel was spotless, and the staff were genuinely warm and attentive. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and professional. The location was convenient for business meetings, and it’s just a short drive to major attractions.
The room was modern, comfortable, and well-equipped for a productive stay. The amenities, including the gym and restaurant, were excellent. I really appreciated the delicious breakfast and, of course, the signature warm cookie on arrival! Highly recommended for business travelers and anyone looking for quality service and a comfortable stay in Cape Town.
The hotel staff is polite and waiters have a priority attitude. Breakfast generally meets business needs and is close to the main traffic. There is a bar on the 10th floor for proper entertainment. The room is clean but the air-conditioning temperature cannot be adjusted
Location, room comfort, hotel condition
I chose this hotel for its location.my late check-in and 3N stay was a very pleasant experience: comfortable bed and pillows, courteous and helpful staff, clean and generous sized room, plus professional service, efficiency and tranquility for business travel. Recommended!

Exceeding expectations, the hotel is at the foot of Table Mountain, the service is warm, very polite, there is a bar upstairs in the hotel, you can see the night table mountain and the night view of the city, very beautiful, breakfast is customized, very good. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities and equipment were very new. Will continue to stay next time.
The location of the hotel is very good, next to the sea, there is a beach
Free security at the entrance of the parking lot.
There are supermarkets around. Pay attention to the business hours. When we arrived, it was Sunday and most shops were closed.
The room is clean, but the washbasin is separated from the hot and cold water. I'm not used to it~ If you don't care about the money, it's better to book a balcony with a sea view
The breakfast selection is also very rich. We had curry chicken that day
Next to the hotel is a museum of the first Portuguese to land here
There's a lighthouse a few kilometers away

GGuest UserThe overall experience was good, friendly staff and good installations, we liked the breakfast and the gym, also great views to the table mountain and lions head from the room and the pool. Location wise also great, walking distance to most things in the region. However, some structural issues should be mentioned. The windows are old, without proper noise isolation - they even open fully which is unusual for a hotel. We could hear the wind blowing very loudly, also the music from clubs around there during the night. The bathroom has a major design flaw and every shower unavoidably results in a completely wet floor.
Despite that, room was very cozy and comfortable.
VVerusha GovenderIt was my first time staying at the Cape Verde Hotel, everything was more than my expectations, the shuttle bus was so convenient for drop off and pick up especially for our international flight, it was and easy find to find the pick up for the shuttle, I was impressed by how Eco friendly the hotel was and how friendly and accommodating the staff was, it met all my expectations. I will definitely be staying there again.
JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.
OO.N.AThe Westin, Cape Town, is an old hotel, but it continues to maintain its presence, quality, and some high standard in Cape Town. We stayed here for 8 days, during a friend's 60th birthday celebration event in Cape Town.
We occupied an executive room and were also given access to the executive club on the 19th floor. The room was very nice, with good linen, bed of high standard. That said, we had to lodge a complaint on the hurried nature of how our room was cleaned on our second day of stay. The bed was not made properly, the carpet floor wasn't clean, and the bathroom was half cleaned. It's not good for a 5-star hotel. After complaining, the housekeeper made amends, and the cleaning standard was raised to the highest standard for the duration of our stay.
We also ordered food from room service and half of what we ordered were not brought - they gave us something else, but after waiting for 45 mins for the original order to be brought to us we reluctabtly accepted the wrong order, ate the food and then lodged our complaints later.
The breakfast buffet was alright, but there weren't great selections of cold meats in the cold meat section. They really need to improve on this.
Lastly, the overall service delivery by some of the staff really need serious improvement. Some of the staff in the restaurant are way too loud when talking to each other, and some of them even give out bad unwelcoming and nonchalant attitude/vibe to their customers. It is like they feel that they're doing us, their clients, a favour by serving us. Not good enough for a hotel of this standard, abd some of those staff need to be retrained.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Westin and we will definitely come back there when next we visit Cape Town.
GGuest UserExcellent value for money. The staff were great, and the food prices were fair. They offer a very affordable shuttle service that connects to nearby supermarkets and restaurants. Highly recommended for short stays.
GGuest UserThe Reception asks to fill a form adding your full card details go be paid on 10 days which is risky to.leave your credit card details in a form and waiting. That shoukd be nade at once tobyour card through a card machine.
MMaxim KeynoThe hotel has a convenient location in the center of Cape Town. The rooms are comfortable enough for one or a young couple. If you plan to walk around the center - it's quite easy. I got to the Waterfront by walking in 20 minutes along busy streets and did not feel any danger anywhere. Small shops and supermarkets around the hotel allow you to cover all your everyday needs.
The breakfast is quite meager, but literally around the corner on the next street you can find good cafes where you can have a great breakfast for a reasonable price and a supermarket where you can buy ready-made food.
Immediately to the right of the exit from the hotel is the entrance to a beautiful park, from where wonderful views of the mountains open.
The staff is responsive and helps to solve all problems.
The only drawback is the noise from the air conditioning systems coming from the yard at night.
RRyan BeeRelatively expensive due to location close to Cape Town International Airport however condition of room poor.
Metal window frame in room was damaged and rusty. Room and hotel floor room was on smelt of smoke (cigarettes) which is not pleasant for a non smoker. Only given a very hard grainy soap and sanitary pack. No Shower gel, shampoo or other amenities like in other hotels that cost less. I eat at the restaurant a burger and chips. Burger was nice however have a very small portion of chips (12). I fed this back. Shower was very small so each time I turned in the shower I would knock off the water as mixer stuck out so far. Location of the tap to the bowel (Sink) in the bathroom was far away so only a small part of the tap was over the bowel so placing your tooth brush or washing hand had limited space to get the water.
Customer service by the management, security guard and receptionists was great.
I felt they were taking advantage of its location but not investing in improving the rooms and services.
No walk in gate to the hotel so have to walk through an electric gate the same way cars get in and out. A side gate would be beneficial.
DDes MojMooiplaas is a stunning venue for a clean, crisp peaceful getaway. The views overlooking the orange skyline and Ostriches doing their thing was, Oh so lovely!! The place is well managed and the staff are a friendly bunch of good old happy country folk. Nothing was ever too much. The food was delicious and fresh fruits and vegetables were delivered everyday. The rooms are old but neat. The wooden floors give the place a vintage feel. The old brown wall to wall carpet was not great but the beautiful rugs thrown over it made is bearable. They have some good quality books to read and enjoy. The breakfast and dinner menu was on point👌🏾👌🏾. I loved the home baked bread 😋 😋. The breakfast box prepared before my 5am-120km ride was excellent! It was prepared excavtly As I had requestes. I have already booked for my next trip😍😍. I loved seeing the stuff happy and enjoying their work. It’s always a good sign when staff enjoy what they do. I think I might have made a friend or two. The curio shop is interesting and the service at the Spa was… you guessed it, Oh so lovely!!☺️
