The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from Arnhem central station, with luggage.
The people at front desk are very hospitable and they provide all the necessary assistances needed.
The room are neat and clean. No smoke smell or dirty spots. But you need take your own tooth brush/paste, slipper.
Breakfast are with diversified food and drinks. Not much choice with salad though.
There is a grocery just next to the hotel and you can get many things there. Pretty convenient.
Too many different styles of restaurant around the neighbourhood.
There is also some attractive sites for sightseeing just by walk.
Pretty nice choice for travellers to stay two or three nights.
”An extraordinary experience at Golden Tulip Nijkerk! From the moment I arrived, I felt pampered by the attentive staff and elegant ambiance. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated, which made me feel right at home. The restaurant offered a extensive menu with delicious dishes, perfectly prepared and presented. The wellness facilities were a true oasis of relaxation, allowing me to completely relax. In short, Golden Tulip Nijkerk exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable one stay!”
The hotel is located right next to the train station which is very convenient. It’s very easy to find and is also close (short walking distance) to the city center of Nijmegen. The check-in was very efficient and smooth. The room was neat and I liked the desk feature, perfect for work or study if needed. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
The newly opened hotel is said to be a girls' school. There are two types of rooms: one is a standard large room, which is larger than other hotels, but a little dark; the other is a loft with a higher ceiling, and the bed is on the second floor. The surrounding area is a residential area, and it is still a bit far from the train station if you drag your luggage there, which is a bit awkward. The breakfast is standard, and everything else is good.
Decent sized room, reasonably priced. Although we didn’t have dinner there (attending a concert which ended much later than the dinner service), the option was available.
Comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom had a generous sized walk in shower (very easily accessible for visitors with limited mobility.
Although other guests had alleged issues regarding the renovation works, we were fortunate that this didn’t affect our stay. The hotel appears to have taken onboard earlier reviews mentioning tired decor - we can attest to the fact that the hotel are implementing some significant improvements.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Would love the opportunity to return and see more of the area.
It's suitable for vacation, in the forest, the air is very good. Unfortunately, I'm here on a business trip. The facilities are not new, but they are clean and tidy. But if you don't drive yourself, the transportation is a bit inconvenient. When I left, I asked the front desk to help me call a car.
Hotel location is OK, close to the train station, the front desk service is very good, the check-in is very fast, the room is a bit old, the overall feeling is good.
Average hotel. low sound isolation, so noticeable noise from other guests and terrace guests outside, earplugs were included. No air circulation in the room without opening a window, noisy ventilator was inside the wardrobe closest. Basic breakfast options. Great WiFi signal strength.

YYUANThe layout of the room we stayed in was very unreasonable. It looked quite big. There was no place to let go. After two days of heating, the heating was not warm. They responded to the front desk of four shifts. Everyone’s attitude was not bad. No one has solved the problem, and some people have said to me, ”I don't feel cold, how can you be cold?”... You are Iron Man, I am probably a normal human, because I feel cold at 4 degrees...
CChia ChingThe location was perfect, close to everything I needed. The staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome from the start.
My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The bed was cozy, and I enjoyed having coffee in the room. The hotel had good facilities, like a gym and a nice pool, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.
Overall, I’m very happy with my stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend it!

GGuest UserThis hotel is definitely worth a visit! Very kind personnel. Location is great and the rooms large, clean and equipped with all you need to spend a few days without missing your home. There are different options to have either lunch or dinner (yes, different restaurants that are part of the hotel), all serving very good food. Extremely friendly waiters/waitresses and breakfast was also above the average one you can find in Europe and superb compared to most hotels in the UK (for comparable price, of course). Price is very reasonable too, so I highly recommend this hotel to anyone spending some time at Nijmegen or around (is very close to train station too). Oh, just another point is that the music they play is great too!

MMr Malek AhmadMy week spent at the Hotel Pauw was good. It was located in the city of Nijmegen and was within walking distance of groceries and shops. It is very accessible to Primark, TKmax and other branded shops. The room was spotless.
The only downside of this hotel is the poor and unstable Wi-Fi connection, and there was no room dining service. Although you can order food delivery, they did not allow it to be delivered to your room.

GGuest UserFront desk staff was courteous and professional. The corner room on the ninth floor had a great view. Open bathroom is a little strange and toilet is extremely small. Compared to other van der Valk properties this one ranks much lower than others. Very slow internet, little choice of TV stations, no streaming services etc.
VVojdaniArianQuiet, peaceful location. Staff was all very kind and welcoming. Bar closes at 23:00 on a Saturday. Room was clean and beds comfortable; unfortunately only single beds available instead of queen/king size. Bathroom was clean, although it looks a little outdated. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent.
