I took my mother out to play and chose Yamanakako specifically. There were few people and it was quiet to see the red leaves. I stayed for two nights and slept until I woke up naturally. The environment was very good and I could walk out to see the red leaves festival.
The transportation was very convenient. I rented a bicycle from the boss. I rode to Yamanakako on the first day, took the bus to Kawaguchiko at the door on the second day, and continued to ride. On the third day, I rode to Oshino Hakkai. š
I was too lazy to go to Gotemba, but it was also very convenient after looking at the map. In the evening, I ate the boss's recommended Shoya and the boss's beef hot pot. The boss's wife was very enthusiastic and honest. Next time I bring my baby here to stay and continue to ride a bike. šš
Nice cosy hotel. Hotel parking very limited, got to park outside parking, got 1 at 700 yen for night parking 1900-0700. Nice breakfast buffet & ice cream after onsen. Got 2 massage chair, same level as onsen. There's free washing machine usage only beside men onsen so quite inconvenience for ladies to use. Dryer 20mins @100yen.
I was quite worried because some of the recent reviews were disappointing, but although there were quite a lot of people, we didn't have to queue for meals, and we were able to relax in the hot springs, which became a very fond memory. The kids also had a lot of fun with the playground equipment in the basement and said they wanted to go back again. However, there was a bit of a queue after we finished eating, so I think it might be better to dine earlier. The food was very delicious. It's a very good inn and I recommend it.
Nice breakfast! It has great variety of breakfast choices ranging from Japanese, Western and Chinese food, the taste is really authentic and delicious! The Mt Fuji view from the hotel restaurant gave us an unforgettable experience and I will definitely visit this hotel again!
Best Fuji View from the room. The room was just nice to fit 2 people with 2 luggage. Hotel breakfast at level 4 also provided the best Fuji View. There are multiple selections at their Japanese buffet breakfast too. The hotel does provide complimentary access to the Onsen next to the hotel. If you drive to the Hotel, can get a complimentary parking ticket from Front Desk. Overall I have enjoyed my stay.
I loved this hotel. The location was perfect, you could see Mt Fuji from the window! It is close to the train station and also to the most popular spots for photos. There is also a good barbecue place and Lawson across the road. Onsen was amazing and deserves a separate rating. One onsen is outdoors under the stars and other inside onsen. It is clean and has everything you might need. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. Also loved the breakfast and different choices it offered. Now writing a review it reminds me how happy I was those days and it fills my heart with joy!
Although the building is very old, when you go inside, every corner is clean and the quality of service is eye-catching. In a calm atmosphere, you can feel the blessings of nature. Because it is on a high platform, Mount Fuji can be seen beautifully in the distance.
The check-in procedures were also very detailed, and the facilities, hot springs, eating styles, etc. were all explained in an easy-to-understand manner.
A total of three meals were eaten, and each meal was very satisfied. The portion of afternoon tea is moderate, giving people a light meal feeling, and supper is a whole western meal. I also ate western food for breakfast. Because there are waiters at each table, there is no inconvenience.
The hot spring is also full of fun, there is no one inside, and you can spend extravagant time. It is recommended for those who like hot springs to try it once. You can also go to and from the hot spring on the same day with lunch!
A fantastic hotel with great amenities to make your stay comfortable , memorable and everlasting . Breakfast was delicious too . Not to mention dinner . A place we would like to return to .
Awesome! The hot springs are great! The room is also quite big ~ because there are not many people staying there, it is very good to go to the hot springs, and overall it is very clean!
And the breakfast in the morning is also delicious. The izakaya opposite the dinner is super good and deliciousš¤¤
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was exceptionally spacious with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a restful nightās sleep. The bathroom was large and well-appointed. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor onsen, which was both relaxing and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to others.

AAaronEngNice breakfast! It has great variety of breakfast choices ranging from Japanese, Western and Chinese food, the taste is really authentic and delicious! The Mt Fuji view from the hotel restaurant gave us an unforgettable experience and I will definitely visit this hotel again!
PPICHEWA_I arrived at Kawaguchiko Station in the afternoon and decided to leave my luggage at a locker near the station before visiting Oshino Hakkai. I returned to the station around 5 PM to retrieve my luggage and called the hotel to inquire about their FREE Shuttle Bus service. Luckily, I caught the shuttle bus back to the hotel in time. The driver was very polite and helpful, assisting me with my luggage both ways.
The hotel had a nice and standard atmosphere, both inside and out. The staff at the lobby were friendly and spoke excellent English. They were able to provide me with all the information needed.
My room was a 20 square meter Lake View Room with a stunning view of Mount Fuji. It had two single beds, a desk and chairs The entrance had a large mirror and the storage space. Unfortunately, the remaining space in the room was too small to fully open my 28-inch suitcase. Luckily, I was alone, so I used the second bed to store my belongings. The bathroom was small but well-equipped with a shower, bathtub, and an automatic toilet.
The onsen was located on the 6th floor and was divided into male and female sections. It was clean and spacious. However, around 8-10 PM, it got quite crowded. If you're not accustomed to this culture, you might want to visit during the morning. (Operated Time : 3PM-2AM & 5-10 AM)
The hotel restaurant offered a variety of dishes. I checked the menu and decided to purchase a dinner coupon at the lobby. The dinner buffet was served from 6-9 PM. Breakfast (7-9AM) was included in my package and was slightly different from dinner. Overall, the food was decent but not exceptional. I recommend arriving early for dinner to avoid the crowds.
Key Points:
- The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service every 30 minutes between the hotel and Kawaguchiko Station.
- There are no convenience stores near the hotel. The hotel's convenience store has limited options.
- There is only one restaurant near the hotel, and it's only open for lunch. If you don't have a car, your dining options are limited to the hotel's buffet or instant ramen (from hotel's convenient store at Lobby 1st floor).
GGuest UserThe hotel is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. We stayed 3 nights in a room facing the lake with a magnificent view of Fuji-san. A van provides shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station. The restaurant is not operational hence we either ate outside or bought food back from Lawson/7-11. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and there were Mandarin-speaking staff. We miss it very much even though we are now in Hoshino Amoriya, which speaks a lot about the Kumonoue Fuji!
GGuest UserLet's talk about the hotel itself first. It is in Kawaguchiko, and the windows are facing Kawaguchiko, with a nice view. The hotel has āhot springsā and saunas, which are large baths in China, and the room size is about the same as in China.
Let's talk about the location. Next to the hotel is the entrance to the observation deck cable car. You must come early to this place. We came down at 8:30, just opened, and there were relatively few people. After playing for an hour, people were already queuing to the side of the road.
GGuest UserA fantastic hotel with great amenities to make your stay comfortable , memorable and everlasting . Breakfast was delicious too . Not to mention dinner . A place we would like to return to .
AAshleyLovely property in a great location. Youāre slightly more off of the beaten track but the tourist bus stop is right out front of the hotel. Great being right by the lake. Amazing room, massive for just me. Thereās no shower in the room just a toilet but the onsen was lovely and you can shower in there. Older property also be aware those with accessibility needs the hotel is up quite a steep slope/numerous stairs and then when inside thereās no lift so I had to carry my luggage up and anyone with mobility issues would struggle as I believe all the rooms are on the first floor and thatās after tackling the way up to the hotel. Staff were lovely, canāt comment on dinner or breakfast but a great traditional ryokan stay.
GGuest UserI was very satisfied with every aspect of my stay. Ā Hotel interior was beautiful and pictures canāt do justice to how amazing the views of Mt. Fuji were. Ā Service was incredible and the in room dinner was amazing. Ā Would definitely come back for another stay.
GGuest UserItās about 10 mins car ride from train station to gran princess hotel. There is no pick up service or shuttle bus after 5 pm so very inconvenient esp those who are out to various attractions esp its cold wintry weather season. You can call from tourism centre between 3 pm to 5 pm. There are not many taxis around and have to wait for a long time and hotel staff does not offer help to do any booking for us and itās wet and cold for all of us. Ā The morning breakfast BBQ and onsen are a plus and you can chill out otherwise itās far to get to 7 eleven store. In house restaurant is not available if you do not book one day in advance and only have option of ordering room service which a bit pricey.
AAnonymous UserVery very stunning view, waking up to mt fuji right at your window. Location wise will need to drive for the area to be accessible. Clean location with japanese style tatami. A really unique experience.
BBSLStaying at Ashida Hotel was definitely a pleasant surprise. The price budget is also 3,000 per night, because 4 people can stay in the same room. A friend started jumping up and down as soon as he entered. The Japanese-style layout and traditional hot springs make it very comfortable.
The sky finally cleared up on the day we checked out. I was shocked when I saw Mount Fuji. It felt so majestic and beautiful.
This hotel is highly recommended for friends who want to see Mount Fuji in Kawaguchiko City.
