Stayed in a standard twin room for 2 nights. The room is slightly too warm as it operates on a central heating system. The rest of the hotel facilities are excellent. The staff are warm and friendly. If you do not want to have your room made up, they reward you with 2 QR codes which you can use at the vending machine behind the front desk.
We chose this hotel as it was a street across the Shirakawago express bus stop operated by the Toyama Chitetsu Bus company. It was really convenient for us to use it to explore Toyama as well as take a day trip to Shirakawago.
Very satisfied with my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama. The hotel was kind enough to allow a flexible and early check-in, which made a big difference after travelling.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with everything I needed, especially in assisting my 72-year-old mum — their care and attentiveness really stood out.
The location is only a stone’s throw away from Toyama Station, making it very convenient for getting around.
The pyjamas were also surprisingly comfortable, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, I was very happy with the experience and will definitely stay here again if I visit Toyama in the future.
It felt like the room had been recently renovated because it was so clean and brand new. It was a standard Japanese room, very brightly lit and spotlessly clean. Amenities were provided by the elevator on each floor. Even if you didn't need room cleaning, the housekeeper would hang up towels and a coffee set for you. The location is very convenient, and the view from the hotel is beautiful on a clear day. Most importantly, the breakfast was absolutely delicious! Everything was top-notch. I highly recommend booking a room with breakfast included. There's convenient parking nearby. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I slept comfortably without any noise disturbance.
I've always been a big fan of Dormy Inn, and this was my first time trying their premium series. Beyond the all-tatami flooring throughout the building and the cypress *onsen* bath directly in the room, it wasn't vastly different from a standard Dormy Inn. In fact, the room was quite small. I actually quite liked the minimal room service – they only needed to provide fresh towels. After all, once my luggage was open, there was barely any room to stand.
The hotel is a bit far from Toyama Station. While this isn't a major issue for those driving, there aren't many dining options nearby, so you'll still need to head to the station area for food. The Glass Art Museum, on the other hand, is very close and definitely worth a visit, especially since the tickets are super affordable. And the breakfast, as usual, was absolutely superb!
Attentive service and excellent location. The hotel is located on the 5F floor of a shopping mall, which is 1 min away from Shinkansen, train and tram station. We were glad that it was so close to the station as we arrived at late night.
Walkable distance to the famous Starbucks and also museums. Convenient for shopping and food hunting. There is also a small supermarket on the 1st floor.
Prime Location: Just a 3-5 minute walk to Toyama Station, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It's also easy to get to Canal Park and Toyama Castle. Some guests even receive complimentary rail tickets.
Modern and Spacious Facilities: At around 25㎡, the rooms are quite generous by Japanese standards. They feature separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom, a bidet, a capsule coffee machine, and complimentary Toyama natural water. The decor is modern and minimalist, and the overall cleanliness is excellent.
Stayed here a night in Toyama before embarking on the Alpine route. Familiar, comfortable room amenities as expected from the Comfort Hotel chain, with a good breakfast spread inclusive. 5 minutes walk from Toyama JR Station and 7 minutes walk with luggage from Toyama Dentetsu line to Kurobe Gorge and Tateyama. Note that you still need to bring your luggage to Dentetsu Station for luggage forwarding service, you cannot do it from the hotel. I asked for a high floor room that overlooked the station/mountains - I did get a high floor room but a side view of the building beside the hotel. Tip: buy supplies from the supermarket in the mall opposite before going up the mountains. There are also Toyama souvenirs, great eki bentos, firefly squid and white shrimp tempura tendon and black ramen in Toyama JR Station nearby.
The hotel is super convenient, only about a 3 to 5-minute walk from the station. It offers great value for money, with fantastic photo opportunities overlooking the Kurobe Gorge. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet-style with a wide variety of dishes. For dinner, you can even choose a hotpot to cook at your table, and they also feature local Hokuriku specialties.
This hotel was a very unexpected surprise. Everything about the room felt more like a 5 star hotel, including a press for trousers, separate and very spacious shower with rain head, strong wifi, etc. Would definitely explore this hotel chain in other cities.
The price is reasonable despite the hotel being only two minutes from the station. Parking is an additional 1,300 yen if you arrive by car, but you can easily get in and out. Check-in and check-out are quick and easy using the machine. The staff are also very friendly. Women's amenities were not provided unless you requested them, but they kindly delivered them. Other amenities are also provided, including disposable slippers, pajamas, and a hair dryer, which was perfect. There are plenty of delicious restaurants around the station, so you can enjoy the evenings as well.

Very Good
We arrived at the hotel at 3pm and there was a long line to check in. There were about 6 people at the front desk, but we had to wait about 15 minutes. They told us to come back in 15 minutes to get the key, so we were able to use the lounge right away. The room was a triple room, very spacious and clean. It's located on top of a mountain, so there's nothing nearby. We could use the large public bath in the evening and in the morning, and it was spacious so we didn't mind the crowds. When we checked in, we asked for an additional breakfast buffet for a little over 3,000 yen. There were a lot of guests, but there was a wide variety of food and plenty of tables available.
”Stayed for 6 days. Fantastic hotel! The location is incredibly convenient, the room was very clean and surprisingly spacious, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Felt completely comfortable throughout my entire stay.”
Nice stay and value for money, front desk service is excellent. Location in the city centre and convenient for the roam around. Get a free upgraded to this suite room when check in. Just not ice most of Japan hotel will charge a parking fee range from 1,000~1,200 per day.
Beautiful hotel (about 7 min walk to the station) and was a great Ryokan experience as the room was traditional and had a breath-taking view. Futons were sufficiently comfortable - but wished there was the whole Ryokan welcome and fanfare. Staff was welcoming but did not speak much English though they had papers of English instructions all ready. There was a free shuttle out of the hotel at fixed timings to the nearest Shinkansen (Unazukionsen Station) Onsen was relaxing and was supplied with good quality products for every aspect of grooming. Lots of vending machines were available, there was a souvenir shop on site though pricey. We just did not enjoy the corridors as it gave out a creepy vibe (due to it being an older establishment), hence, we did not enjoy moving around the hotel). Facilities were beautiful and well preserved. Food as part of the experience was a good and large helping. We opted for the full seafood experience but it had a lot of sashimi or cured seafood which was not to our own liking (we did not really know what we signed up for, really our fault!) Breakfast was a good spread and really hearty. A lot of traditional and local specialties to experience! Overall a great stay! (Shops in the vicinity closes at about 5pm and open at 10am)
Great location, we got rooms with castle view, excellent experience to see the castle in snowy weather. The service was great and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Easy to get around with tram.

Nice hotel with the Japanese style decorations. My family very enjoying in this hotel. Free ramen, ice cream and yakult …Hot Spring is good and can onsen in our room. Thanks for updated twin bed room for us. Breakfast not so fantastic.

TTianzeAwesome hotel, I didn’t see a high rating when I booked Ctrip. I have been hesitating to make a reservation. However, the B&B in Baichuan Township is a wooden house structure that is too old. I chose this hotel. The hot springs are superb and the rooms are clean and looks like It didn't take long for the decoration, everything was very new, and I will definitely visit again in Shirakawa Township next time.
