Decent hotel . Not a 5 star but a decent 4 star . Missing some bits to be considered as a 5 star. Shout out to fernando and marcio who were excellent staff round the pool . Making sure our drinks were full and always with a smile . Also Monique are cleaner was excellent and attentive to our requests. Reception staff that done our check in and check out were very good as well. Found it slightly odd all the sales people trying to sell time shares all over the hotel . Breakfast staff were great and happy . The evening staff not so much . Overall it was a good stay and good value for money

Very nice hotel right on the beach. With 2 swimming pools, one of them heated. Very nice staff. Mostly Pedro from the restaurant and Eduardo from the reception.

Próximo ao Centro de Rio Bonito, há este excelente hotel. Com seu café excelente e variado, pude degustar os melhores biscoitos, que muito lembrava a nossa infância, aqueles biscoitos caseiros da vovó, deliciosos, que não se encontra fácil, tal sabor. Pude rever a cidade que pareceu me bem agradável para se morar após a aposentadoria. E neste hotel pude ter uma vista da deslumbrante mata Atlântica. Eu recomendo.

Excellent hotel with free underground garage and direct access to the lift

I found the two people who attended me at the reception very unfriendly, I asked about parking and they did not mention any cost, so I was unconcerned, at my checkout they came to charge me a daily parking fee and at checkin I asked, and they omitted any cost. The valet at my checkout did not bring the car to the hotel entrance and left it at the garage door as it was raining and I was loaded with suitcases and electronics and refused to bring the car to the hotel door, which did not happen at my check in. For the caliber of hotel that Mercure proves to be, I didn't like breakfast either, food that should have been hot was cold, replenishment took a long time. The only thing I liked was the room.

The hotel is in a very good location , 5 minutes walking and you are on the beach . It’s a very beautiful building and the room is clean, the service was very good, all the employees were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, with many options, including fruits and local things. We stayed during New Year’s Eve , and we choose a good place to escape from the crowd Copacabana, Praia do Recreio is more quiet and clean, there were some noises from fireworks but nothing comparing to Copacabana.

It was great to travel through trip.com I was a little worried because the company wasn't Brazilian, but I trusted and everything worked out well and at a great price. Vila Gale is wonderful, my girls loved it and so did I. My husband really needed a moment like this. Thank God everything is going well.
