Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. What was particularly impressive was the welcome drink service and the ice cream provided after the bath. I was very happy with these little touches.
Breakfast was served buffet style, and there was a wide variety of items, all of which were delicious and very satisfying. The food was made with local ingredients, and I felt luxurious from the morning.
The only thing that bothered me was the dinner options. I had planned to eat dinner outside this time, but unfortunately it was raining and it was difficult to get around, and it was more than a 20-minute walk to Kushimoto Station. I was going to drink alcohol at dinner, so I couldn't drive, and I felt it was a bit inconvenient to have to take a taxi.
Also, I thought that if the selection of products at the convenience store was a little better, it would be more comfortable for people who don't want to go out in bad weather, or who don't want to use the hotel restaurant.
Nevertheless, the hotel's facilities, service, and staff were all of a high standard, and I had a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity.
I had a great experience staying at this hotel!
The view from our room was amazing and we particularly enjoyed the private onsen, which allowed us to unwind while watching the stunning sunset. The staff were all very friendly and polite, which made our stay even better.
However, the hotel's location is next to the beach, which means you have to climb a slope to get there. It is also quite far from the JR station, and the only public transportation available is a 30-minute bus ride.
Additionally, there are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so you might want to plan ahead for meals.
We stay in 4 people Japanese style ocean view. The room is too old and small, stains on wall and closet door. The bed is thinner than expected. Buffet breakfast has not much choice, swimming pools and many other things have to pay extra. All staff are nice except one guy in the game room area is very rude! Outdoor hot spring have many insects and have to walk stairs . Overall the stay is unpleasant.
Shirahama's value for money ceiling. You can enjoy the hot springs in the main building, and it is very close to the popular restaurants and ramen shops. To the north, you can reach Shirarahama, and to the south, you can reach Sandanbeki. The room is considered large in Japan, and there are many shared facilities.
However, the check-in time is strictly controlled after 15:00. If you arrive early with a large suitcase, you can leave it at the hotel first and come back to check in when the time comes.
The best resort I stayed in Japan, spacial thank you to the stuff at the front desk who had been super kind and helpful. The hot spring which overlooks the ocean is stunning, highly recommended!
On the third day of the New Year, dinner with my mother to feel the sea breeze of Jiyi Peninsula and the cattle in Kumano, 🐼 Japan's only two cities with pandas ♨️ 100% undispensed natural hot springs brought in by a kilometer underground 🏖️ White Beach shipped from Australia 🦞 charcoal grilled Ise lobster and abalone for breakfast on the fourth day of the New Year. Fish eat, the main focus is all kinds of eating and drinking. The hotel will send a business car JR station to pick up and drop off.
Located in Katsuragi, Sanso Amanosato is a 2-minute drive from Niutsuhime Shrine and 9 minutes from Niusakadono Shrine. This ryokan is 12.6 mi (20.3 km) from Mount Koyasan and 6.1 mi (9.8 km) from Koya-Ryujin Quasi-National Park.
Enjoy recreation amenities such as hot springs or take in the view from a garden.
The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Make yourself at home in one of the 8 air-conditioned rooms featuring heated floors. Rooms have private furnished balconies. Satellite television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include safes and minibars, as well as phones with free local calls.
The hotel is pretty good and clean. It's right next to the pier. It's only a 200-300-meter walk to the tuna market. It's also very convenient to eat. The only thing is that the front desk is too rigid. Check-in is only possible at 3:00 p.m., not even a minute earlier. This is when there are many empty rooms.
A hotel that must be praised! There is nothing wrong with it except that it is expensive! In fact, from the perspective of cost performance, it is really worth the money!
From Figure 1, you can clearly see that the hotel occupies an island (Is it the only hotel that I can take this angle? I am proud). It takes 7 minutes to walk from Kii Katsuura Station to the pier. The reception of the hotel is next to the Nakatora Store. You can contact the hotel in advance and pick it up at the station. After that, the staff at the reception will send you to the pier to take a boat to the hotel.
The hotel is a modern and fashionable new Japanese style, very beautiful! The most basic room type we booked is also very large and the room is beautiful!
The hotel meals are very good, one dish after another, and the tableware is also very beautiful. There are Japanese and Western breakfasts, and some buffets. We stayed for two nights and chose different types. The dinners for two days were also different, and they were all very good!
There are free drinks in the lobby and the rest area on the room floor in the afternoon and evening. There are wine and snacks in the lobby at night, and popsicles are available for free 24 hours.
The hotel hot spring is large and beautiful. The men's and women's pools will be exchanged in the morning, and there are foot baths by the sea and foot baths on the mountain. There is a trail on the mountain, and you can see the beautiful scenery of Ki-no-Matsushima at the end.
The hotel service is impeccable! Everyone is very enthusiastic. The smile of the driver at the reception is unforgettable. When we checked in, Song Teng enthusiastically explained the use of various facilities to us who did not speak English. Every employee in the restaurant served us enthusiastically... Thank you to every employee!
I will go to this hotel again if I have the chance!
A typical traditional Japanese hot spring hotel. The facilities are not new but they are very clean and hygienic. The room has an incomparable sea view, and the hot spring facing the sea makes people feel the peaceful atmosphere. The dinner and breakfast were very exquisite and delicious, but not very luxurious. The location is far away from Wakayama JR. We made an appointment in advance for the hotel's pick-up and drop-off service. Otherwise, apart from taxis, we don't know what public transportation is available to the hotel. It seems that self-driving travel is more suitable.

AAChuaRight in front of the bus stop Kamaya-Mae I think..
Kind hosts who speaks a reasonable amount of English. Dinner smelled delicious but I didn’t go for it because I wanted to try the other restaurant in the area.
If I return to kawayu, I will come back here.

BBoscoayThe second time I lived, the last time was 8 years ago, the facilities were still clean and not significantly old. There is still the hospitality of traditional Japanese-style hotels. The hot springs are still good, and it is a relatively new hotel near the Dragon God.
