For this trip to Japan, we chose some off-the-beaten-path cities. Toyama, in particular, is a hidden gem perfect for a leisurely stroll and exploration. The DoubleTree by Hilton is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from JR Toyama Station, which made luggage storage incredibly easy. The area around the station is bustling with malls, supermarkets, and izakayas. Upon check-in, they maintained their signature tradition of offering a warm chocolate chip cookie, a much-appreciated treat after our long journey. The rooms boast a modern, wooden style, and there's a Japanese-style public bath on-site. This hotel is an ideal stop for anyone traveling along the Hokuriku Shinkansen line.
It's an old hotel. But location still within 7-8 mins walk from JR Toyama Station. Infront Hotel have the City Tram station.
Hotel corridor was low and lighting was very dim.
Room are justifiable for single room.
The only problem was the bed mattress are too soft, when u sit on the bed, u can feel the mattress immediately pressed till the spring bottom of the mattress haha.
Hotel do provide refreshment machine for coffee (with bean blending) and soft drink at the ground floor.
Didn't expect my stay are come with the breakfast, unfortunately I only can enjoy 2 days among 4 days stay, due to headed out before the breakfast serving.
The breakfast have local Japanese n western variety too, located high floor with good view.
The hotel experience is excellent, the rooms are spacious and bright, and the facilities are complete. The service staff are enthusiastic and responsive. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes authentic. Good value for money and a pleasant stay. Overall evaluation: This hotel is worth recommending, whether it is business travel or leisure travel, it is an ideal choice.
The service was excellent, and the location was very convenient for getting around. However, I did find two drawbacks. Firstly, the parking isn't located directly on-site; you have to drive a short distance to it, and the parking fee was quite expensive. Secondly, the twin room felt a bit small.
Unazuki Hot Spring Hotel is expensive. The problem is that the waiter who brought in the room does not speak English and is not proficient with the hotel's translation software. As a result, we were told that dinner was in the room, and we were waiting in the room on the 13th floor. It's actually in the private room of the restaurant on the 9th floor. After a quarter of an hour after the appointed time, please ask at the front desk to know the correct way. Dinner and breakfast are good. The room is 12 folds, plus the balcony area after sealing, and the tea is in the entrance. There are special drinking water taps. The pictures of breakfast and dinner can't accommodate, it's not bad. The hot springs are very good, and the male and female outdoor baths change every morning. The scenery is beautiful.
Beautiful hotel (about 7 min walk to the station) and was a great Ryokan experience as the room was traditional and had a breath-taking view. Futons were sufficiently comfortable - but wished there was the whole Ryokan welcome and fanfare.
Staff was welcoming but did not speak much English though they had papers of English instructions all ready. There was a free shuttle out of the hotel at fixed timings to the nearest Shinkansen (Unazukionsen Station)
Onsen was relaxing and was supplied with good quality products for every aspect of grooming. Lots of vending machines were available, there was a souvenir shop on site though pricey. We just did not enjoy the corridors as it gave out a creepy vibe (due to it being an older establishment), hence, we did not enjoy moving around the hotel). Facilities were beautiful and well preserved.
Food as part of the experience was a good and large helping. We opted for the full seafood experience but it had a lot of sashimi or cured seafood which was not to our own liking (we did not really know what we signed up for, really our fault!) Breakfast was a good spread and really hearty. A lot of traditional and local specialties to experience!
Overall a great stay!
(Shops in the vicinity closes at about 5pm and open at 10am)
If you have never seen the snow-capped mountains, you can go and see them. Please come back today. There is no need to stay in a hotel. The hotel facilities are relatively old and the price is poor.
A nearby hot spring hotel with two berths and one night is a better choice

Very good hotel and the staff are very kind and helpful. It may mainly target local customers, so the general foreign language skills are not very good.

LLocketloveeStayed here for 2N as we were visiting the Tateyama Alpine route. Was clean, modern and rooms were quite spacious! We liked that toilets had both a shower and tub, also gave us kids amenity bag. Very near the Toyama station, just a 3min walk. Opposite was a mall and you could go there for meals and shopping. Staff were all friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a 10-minute walk from Unazuki Station. Since there was a heavy storm that day,
It was raining, so it was a bit awkward dragging my suitcase to the hotel. It was just renovated in 2023. There is a little smell in the room and the hot spring is very good! I paid extra to book a private bath. The water quality is so comfortable! The accommodation included dinner and breakfast the next day. The dinner was delicious. A male waiter could speak simple Chinese and had been to Shanghai. Basic communication was no problem. Breakfast the next day was still delicious. This hot spring area is relatively unpopular and there are not many online introductions, but it can avoid the crowds.
